Resolution No. 95/2010: Amending Class I License of the Omani Qatari
Telecommunications Company (S.A.O.C) for Installation and Operation of a
Fixed Public Telecommunications System
Pursuant to the Telecommunications Regulatory Act issued by the Royal Decree No.
30/2002 and;
The Royal Decree No. 34/2009 issuing Class I License of the Omani Qatari
Telecommunications Company for the Installation and Operation of a Fixed Public
Telecommunications System;
The Authority’s Decision No 93/2010 approving the application of (TDCA/S) Company to
transfer its shares in the Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company (S.A.O.C) to Qatar
Telecommunications Company (Qtel),
Based on the exigencies of the public interest;
It is decided:
Article 1 TDCA/S Company brand Name shall be replaced by Qatar Tele-
communications Company (Qtel) wherever it appears in Annex (G) of the
Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company’s license issued by the Royal
Decree No 34/2009.
Article 2 The Text of Clause 1 of Annex G of the Omani Qatari Telecommunications
Company’s license issued by the Royal Decree No 34/2009 shall be replaced
with the following text:
1. Qatar Telecommunications Company (Qtel) a company registered in
the State of Qatar (under registration No.: 21183) confirms that it
shall continue to own 14% of the shares of the Omani Qatari
Telecommunications Company till 8th June 2015.
Article 3 Clause (3) of Annex G of the Omani Qatari Telecommunications
Company’s license issued by the Royal Decree No 34/2009 shall be deleted.
Article 4 This Resolution shall be published in the Gazette and shall become operative
from the date of its issuance.
