Finally, the legislation provides immunity from civil liability from injuries caused by the failure of a person to use a firearm properly or lawfully to those instructors who provide safety training.
Under this legislation an employee leaving the service of the board under honorable conditions who has accumulated 20 years or more of service with board, or 20 or more years of combined service as a parole officer, a probation officer or supervisor with the Department of Corrections, or a community supervision officer with the department may retain his or her board issued weapon and badge. When a parole officer leaves the employment of the board as a result of disability arising in the line of duty, he is entitled as part of his compensation to retain his or weapon and badge in accordance with the board's rules and regulations. Should a parole officer be killed in the line of duty his board issued badge is eligible to be given to a surviving family member. The application fee for an adult offender applying to transfer his or her supervision from Georgia to any other state or territory is increased from $25.00 to $100.00.
The bill includes several other provisions which clean up the firearms Code in Title 16. The bill provides for new Georgia residents who have a carry license issued by a state which recognizes Georgia licenses to have 90 days in order to get their Georgia license. The bill states that persons who have a valid hunting or fishing license are not required to have on their person a carry license when they are engaged in legal hunting, fishing, or sport shooting on recreational or wildlife management areas owned by the state.
This legislation allows a person who leaves a place of worship upon notification that firearms are prohibited to avoid being cited as violating the Code. The bill also allows probate judges receiving applications for permits, to issue printed information on firearms safety courses. The bill also requires the Department of Natural Resources to provide on their principal website, information on hunter education and classes in this state that render gun safety instruction.

This includes session identifying information but not the content of communications or subscriber names and addresses. The order also mandates nondisclosure of this surveillance program except as necessary for compliance or legal advice.

This document contains three sections of an act passed by Congress on August 4, 1854. The act increases the pay of non-commissioned officers, musicians, and privates in the U.S. Army by $4 per month for three years. It also provides bonuses for soldiers who re-enlist within one month of being honorably discharged and for those who served in the Mexican-American War and received a certificate of merit. The act further specifies that non-commissioned officers recommended for promotion but not receiving it under a previous act will receive additional pay.

California municipalities are constantly faced with a changing regulatory framework related to the next generation of wireless services, known as 5G, which requires installing vast numbers of small cell equipment. These new networks present completely different local regulatory issues than the 3G and 4G networks of the past, which involved constructing large towers with a coverage range of a few miles. Supporting advanced 4G and new 5G requires telecommunications companies to build thousands of small cells at a faster pace with a far greater density of deployment. Municipalities’ policies and ordinances must keep up with this fast-changing technology.
The FCC recently adopted a new “Declaratory Ruling and Third Report and Order” that interprets provisions of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 to preempt local regulations that effectively prohibit the deployment of small cell wireless infrastructure in local communities. The FCC Ruling includes broad definitions of the types of local regulations that would be presumed to constitute an impermissible effective prohibition of wireless services, and establishes the applicable “shot clock” timelines by which local agencies must take action on small cell deployment applications.
