Which FTP Client to choose?
An “FTP client” is a File Transfer Protocol, a software utility that establishes a connection
between a host computer and a remote server.
The FTP client provides the dual-direction transfer of data and files between two
computers over a TCP network or an Internet connection.
The FTP is a standard communication protocol used for the transfer of computer files
from a server to a client on a computer network.
FTP is built on a client-server model architecture using separate control and data

What is an FTP?
An FTP, which stands for File Transfer Protocol, is a method for transferring files from
one computer to another.
How do we select this list of the best free FTP software?
Supports secure file transfer protocols: FTP isn’t secure. Among its many flaws, plain FTP
doesn’t encrypt the data you’re transferring. If your data is compromised en route to its
destination, your credentials (username and password) and your data can easily be
read.
SFTP (which stands for SHH File Transfer Protocol) is a popular secure alternative, but
there are many others.
There are a lot of FTP clients with a command-line interface, approachable and easier
to use.
