1. 2 Butene has two isomers.
2. Cis-butene has carbons that are
on the same side.3. Trans-butene has carbons that
are on opposite sides.
4. Although these isomers look the same in
their structure, they have different
geometries.

3. Cis-butene
This form of 2-butene has
carbons that are on the same
side. It has 4 carbons and 8
hydrogens and a double bond.

that is, it exists as
