Effect Of Affective Trust And Trust In Competency On Logistic Efficiency
Through Joint Decision Making, Information Sharing, Benefit And Risk
Sharing (Case Study on PT Asiaplast Industries, Tbk)”.
Major Advisor : Prof. Dr. Syamsir Abduh
The background of this research was examined the Effect of Affective Trust and
Trust In Competency on Logistic Efficiency through Joint Decision Making,
Information Sharing, Benefit and Risk Sharing.
The objectives of this research was to analyze (1) The effect positively Affective
Trust on Joint Decision Making; (2) The effect positively Trust in Competency on
Joint Decision Making; (3) The effect positively Joint Decision Making on
Logistic Efficiency; (4) The effect positively Affective Trust on Information
Sharing; (5) The effect positively Trust in Competency on Information Sharing;
(6) The effect positively Information Sharing on Logistic Efficiency;(7) The effect
positively Affective Trust on Benefit and Risk Sharing;(8) The effect positively
Trust in Competency on Benefit and Risk Sharing; and (9) The effect positively
Benefit and Risk Sharing on Logistic Efficiency.
A sampling with purposive sampling techniques of 120 logistic employees PT
Asiaplast Industries, Tbk as manufacturing firms provided the data that were
analyzed for this study. Using structural equation modeling, a sub-set of the
sample consisting of 120 logistic employees PT Asiaplast Industries, Tbk as
manufacturing firms was used to test nine hypothesized relationships in the model.
The result of this research conclude that is The effect positively Affective Trust on
Joint Decision Making was demonstrated with the coefficient beta as 0,270
(β=0,270) and probability value was 0,001 (p-value=0,001); (2) The effect
positively Trust in Competency on Joint Decision Making was demonstrated with
the coefficient beta as 0,274 (β=0,274) and probability value was 0,001 (p-
value=0,001); (3) The effect positively Joint Decision Making on Logistic
Efficiency was demonstrated with the coefficient beta as 0,358 (β=0,358) and
probability value was 0,002 (p-value=0,002); (4) The effect positively Affective
Trust on Information Sharing was demonstrated with the coefficient beta as 0,273
(β=0,273) and probability value was 0,001 (p-value=0,001); (5) The effect
positively Trust in Competency on Information Sharing was demonstrated with the
coefficient beta as 0,493 (β=0,493) and probability value was 0,000 (p-
value=0,000); (6) The effect positively Information Sharing on Logistic Efficiency

was demonstrated with the coefficient beta as 0,217 (β=0,217) and probability
value was 0,024 (p-value=0,024); (7) The effect positively Affective Trust on
Benefit and Risk Sharing was demonstrated with the coefficient beta as 0,225
(β=0,225) and probability value was 0,036 (p-value=0,036); (8) The effect
positively Trust in Competency on Benefit and Risk Sharing was demonstrated
with the coefficient beta as 0,284 (β=0,284) and probability value was 0,010 (p-
value=0,010); and (9) The effect positively Benefit and Risk Sharing on Logistic
Efficiency was demonstrated with the coefficient beta as 0,177 (β=0,177) and
probability value was 0,039 (p-value=0,039).
