• A parasite is an plant or animal organism that lives in another
organism and takes its nourishment from that organism for
the purpose of staying alive.

pools, lakes, rivers, oceans, ponds, and water parks.
• Also, if you eat uncooked or raw foods, you can be infected.
• And accidentally picking up contaminated diapers, bathroom
fixtures or toys.

• Young children, older adults and persons with weakened
immune systems

In most cases, people who have healthy immune systems will
recover without treatment.

• Take medicine
• Rest in bed

• Not drinking contaminated water or untreated water. Boil the water for at
least one minute.
• Wash your hands after you use the bathroom before handling food or drinks
• Don’t make human body contact if you didn’t wash your hands.
• When traveling in areas where diseases are common to happen, use only
bottled water.
• Avoid swallowing water in swimming pools and spas.

12. What should we do to prevent the water
pollution?
• Dispose the trash properly
• Pull weeds by hands instead of using weed killers
• Do not dump poisonous chemicals into the toilet, sink, the ocean, lakes, or rivers.
• Do not dump sewage into a lake and streams.
• Pick up your pet waste.
• Collect waste and trash from local lakes and water streams.
• Don’t defecate near waterways or in puddles. If you have to defecate in the bush,
make sure you bury it.
