Hammer Film Production Ltd.
Hammer is a London based Production Company for
films, which started in 1934 with its first production The
Public Life Of Henry The Ninth; after this, Hammer’s
productions were delayed by WW2 but this did not put
the company to a halt. It was the film The Quartermass
Xperiment in 1955 that’s success caused them to be
commonly known for horror films and that influenced
them to follow this route- leading them to The Curse of
Frankenstein in 1957 and Dracula in 1958. Hammer then
continued to follow horror trends coexistent to gothic monsters.
Modern day Hammer has continued to release horrors, such as The Woman in
Black (2012), Let me in (2010), Wake Wood (2011) and The Resident (2011).
