My name is Tim Higgins; I am in the process of looking for a meaningful new position. I am a seasoned and
accomplished veteran in the video and audio production business. I understand the nuts and bolts of video and
audio production, but what I would consider my greatest strength is team building. I have worked for many years
in professional sports, and one of the greatest perks of working in sports is having access to some of the world's
best coaches, many of whom I have had the privilege to pick their collective brains on how to be a good team
leader.
What I have learned is how to set team goals, lead from the front and play to individual strengths. Building trust is
one of the key factors in developing a team. Creating an atmosphere of collaboration, where creative input is
valued and an individual’s strengths are developed.
The work that I have done has allowed me to develop many skills that only come with time and experience. I am
an expert in both video and audio, along with all of the ancillary skills that go with being a department head of a
high profile organizations that have finite resources. I am used to tight deadlines, and I thrive under pressure.
The teams that I have worked with were both top ten fan experiences in all of professional sports. The in -arena
video departments were the primary focus of the fan experience. The end of year surveys showed that 80% of the
arena information that the fans gleaned came from the video and audio presentation. Through this experience I
have learned how to communicate clearly concisely and effectively, all of this mixed in with an entertaining edge.
If it is fun, people are a lot more inclined to pay attention.
