This experiment tested whether asparagus could inhibit the growth of yeast cells. Yeast was grown in three different mediums - a positive control with nutrients, a negative control with water only, and an experimental group with nutrients and asparagus. The yeast growth was measured using spectrophotometry and viable colony counts. The results showed lower absorbance and fewer colonies for yeast grown in the medium containing asparagus, indicating its growth was inhibited.
