Importance Of Physical Activity And Physical Fitness And...
– Evidence from multiple studies suggests that increasing physical activity and physical fitness may improve academic performance. Evidence also
states that dedicated time to recess in a school day, physical education class, and physical activity in the classroom may facilitate academic
performance. – Research shows that cognitive performance and brain health are improved by single sessions of long–term participation in physical
activity. The people who benefit the most are the ones who participate in vigorous or moderate–intensity physical activity during this period. In school,
this long–term period would be during either the child's recess, physical education class, or physical activity in the classroom. – Through multiple tests,
physical activity and physical fitness has been proved to improve academic performance. One example of a test used to prove this theory was when a
seminal research was conducted by Gabbard and Barton (1979). This experiment consisted of six different conditions of physical activity (no activity,
20, 30, 40, and 50 minutes) and was completed by 106 2nd graders during physical education. Each of the physical education sessions were followed
by a 5 minute rest and then a completion of 36 math problems. The authors found a potential threshold effect when noticing that only the 50–minute
condition improved in mathematical performance. Other experiments like this one have also been conducted to prove academic improvement from
physical activity. –

Goal Setting Is An Best Way For Students With Track And...
Goal setting is an excellent way for students to track and improve upon physical fitness levels. The importance of being able to set goals and to try to
achieve them is that each individual student can assess where they are and set goals to improve. Not all students can achieve the same fitness
standards. Some students are born with more muscle mass or more fast twitch muscle fibers than other students. Some students have asthma or other
physical difficulties that make it difficult to measure up with other students when all students are required to get a certain score on a fitness test to get
an A. Using goal setting where all students can be successful by reaching their goals and showing improvement could be a positive influence for
future motivation. While problem based learning can help students to learn and use goal setting (Hubball 2006), goal setting may not always help
students to achieve greater fitness levels. Hill (2015) found that those students who set goals over an 18 week period did not have any significant
improvement over those students that did not set goals on the pacer and push up tests. Similarly, in another study looking at the effects of goal setting
on Native elders found only a weak correlation between goal setting and improvement on the amount of steps taken in a day using a pedometer
(Sawchuck 2011). The problem with this study was that the researchers set the goals for the participants. It may be more important that students set

Physical Fitness: Betters Your Golf Game
Get Fit: Let Physical Fitness Better Your Golf Game
Although golf may not seem like a sport that would require a lot of physical training, it does. People all over the world underestimate the proper
physical training golfers need for their golf game to be at the level he or she aspires it to be at. Golf had always been viewed as a game of leisure, but
today's golfer is leaner, stronger, and fitter. Without spending hundreds of dollars on a teaching professional, and endless stressful hours at the golf
course or driving range, one can improve his or her golf game by doing the proper combination of flexibility training, resistance training, cardiovascular
training, using appropriate supplements, and eating a well balanced diet on a daily ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It also can reduce injury time after getting hurt, muscles soreness after a heavy workout, and decrease the chance of injuries. Stretching increases any
golfers ability to perform what their swing coach is constantly telling him or her by about having the right "touch and feeling", especially when
trying to accomplish specific tasks by simply having the appropriate weight on each side of their body and eliminating the pressure in their grip
which travels up their entire arm. Flexibility training is most important for golfers because it helps develop body control and awareness, allowing
it to be easier to perform the exact motions in the golf swing that a swing coach asks of. Stretching a highly recommended and very important
before, during, and after a round of golf not only to increase the player's flexibility but to allow their body to swing more freely and improve club
and distance control (Piazza). To be fully successful in the game of golf the player needs to attain a well balanced shoulder turn and reach a high finish
by swinging the club, and to increase their range of motion, they need the proper flexibility training (Piazza).
Resistance training is any type of exercise that causes the muscles to contract against an external resistance with the expectation of it increases in mass,
tone, strength, and/or endurance (Doan). The external resistance training can be used with dumbbells, cables, rubber exercise tubing, ones own body

Google Fit : Tracking Your Progress Is A Huge Part Of...
Google Fit Tracking your progress is a huge part of physical fitness. In order to truly know how you are progressing you have to keep track of what
you have done. This includes a wide variety of physical activities. Logging work out sessions, what exercises were conducted, what weights were
used, what distances where traveled, and more is a key component of tracking your progress. Not only should people track their physical fitness
sessions, but they should also track their input vs. output ratio. To put it simply they should know how many calories they took in verses how
many they burned off throughout the day. This is an essential part of being and living healthy. Google fit is yet another initiative by Google
aimed at helping people become healthier. A little more on the basic side of things Google fit allows its users to set their own goals. It also allows
user to add in work outs or exercises that were not tracked by the app. That means that if a user does not like to work out with their mobile device,
as some of them can be quite large, they can log into Google fit after their work out and add an activity. Users who wish to track their weight loss
can enter their height and weight into the system and track how much they have lost that week, month, or year. One of the bigger parts of the Google
fit project is that a large part of it is not based on Google. While Google is the storage center and the overall information management system for

PHYSICAL READINESS PROGRAM CHANGES. NAVADMIN 178/15 announced changes to the Physical Readiness Program (PRP). To assess an
individual Sailors health and mission readiness, Physical Fitness Assessments (PFAs) are being redesigned. The current PFA model enforces maximum
body fat percentages and minimum physical readiness scores, but falls short on evaluating a Sailors overall health, does not adequately reflect the
challenges unique to sea duty, and the increasingly technical nature of sea duty positions. The PRP changes will create balance between physical

Physical Fitness: A Personal Analysis
My heart pounds in my chest. My blood pulses through my veins. Endorphins rush throughout my entire body. I push through the pain, knowing that
with every movement my body makes, I become stronger.
I stepped on the cold scale as my eyes eagerly watched the bright blue digital display calculate my weight. I was overwhelmed with joy as I saw the
exact numbers that have been in my thoughts for the past several years pop up on the scale. The numbers were flashing through my mind as I was
trying to process that I had finally accomplished it. I stepped away from the scale and looked at myself in the mirror in disbelief. Not disbelief of the
fact that I had simply reached my long–desired goal, but of the fact that I finally felt a sense of pride in all the demanding work and attention to detail
that I put forth in order to reach this goal. It was the best feeling I had ever experienced– and I was hooked. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Basic Importance Of Physical Fitness
The Importance of Overall Fitness of EMS Personnel

The Importance of Overall Fitness of EMS Personnel
So, what is physical fitness? The definition I tend to use, which also pertains to the EMT in a physically demanding situation, is old but worth
including: "Physical fitness is the ability to last, to bear up, to withstand stress, and to persevere under difficult circumstances where an unfit person
would give up." No one wants to tell a patient in a life–threatening state that they have to catch their breath before they can continue patient care.
Beyond the basic definition of physical fitness, you should be familiar with its three general components: body composition; cardiorespiratory
endurance; and musculoskeletal fitness. These components can be measured separately, and each assessment will provide information regarding your
fitness level in each specific category. For example, an individual may score well in cardiorespiratory fitness but poorly in flexibility, or poorly in
cardiorespiratory fitness, but well in muscular strength. Bettering your overall physical fitness improves your ability to perform under physical stress
and reduces your risk of developing chronic lifestyle–related diseases, such as diabetes, coronary artery disease and hypertension. Body composition is
used to describe the percentages of fat, bone, water and muscle in human bodies. Because muscular tissue takes up less space in our

The Benefits Of Physical Fitness
Physical fitness is to the human body a general state of health and well–being, and more specifically, the ability to perform aspects of sports or
occupations.
Being fit doesn't mean being a champion in a particular discipline, or having muscles that pop out from clothes... being fit means living healthy and
accordingly being a happy person. Physical fitness is generally achieved through a correct nutrition and a regular training activity. The benefits for
being fit are countless, not only the training and the healthy diet will help you to achieve a good body, but it will also clean your mind and make you
more happy and relaxed.

You obtain this energy from nutrients in the food that you eat– mostly, carbohydrates, fats and proteins.
Minerals and vitamins are other nutrients that are also important in your diet to help your body stay healthy. It is important to find the right balance
between these different nutrients to achieve maximum health benefits. A balanced diet generally contains food from each of the following food groups:
starchy foods (such as: bread, rice, potatoes, pasta...), fruit and vegetables, milk and dairy foods, protein foods; these include meat, fish, eggs and other
non–dairy sources of protein (including nuts, tofu, beans, pulses, etc.).
Fatty and sugary foods are the fifth food group that you eat.
However, only a small amount of what you eat should be made up from fatty and sugary foods. In addition to the
above, having plenty of fiber and water in your diet is also important for your health.
The reasons that bring a person to be physically fit are numerous, from the benefits that offer to the physical body till the ones that reach the brain and
improve the general status of a person's mind at the psychological level. Fitness may help prevent certain serious diseases such as high blood pressure,
diabetes, stroke, and heart disease. It may

History of Football
Football/soccer, the beautiful game, the world game was first said to be originated and played from 1400bc proved with scientific evidence.
However, according to FIFA after the rules were correctly set and implemented the first recordable football game occurred on 19 December 1863 ,
Limes Field, Mortlake, London, England. Football is a 11 aside team sport which is normally played on a football pitch which can be played by both
male and female.
How I became interested with the sport
I have been playing football for 8 years up to date and my fantasy with the sport began ever since I first watched it on television . Seeing the tension
and anxiety on the players faces the crowd showing their passion for the sport by chanting and the fast movements of the game. The players made it
look so easy that I thought football will be a walk in the park but in my experience it certainly not is. Football requires certain components to excel in
it which I will be talking about in detailed later on.

are contracting the same way muscular endurance is used. Muscular endurance is highly important in football because for example a goalkeeper who
needs to contract his arm muscles a lot needs muscular endurance to help him use him arm muscles every time . An outfielder needs muscular
endurance because he uses his/her leg muscles every time. When I play football muscular endurance is highly important as it has a lot of quick bursts
in the game with very short time periods to recover as it is an anaerobic sport also muscular endurance is important because we need to resist

Physical fitness plays an important role in one's life, with the growing needs of people, tension, anxiety and stress have become one of the most
common problems in modern life. Many people suffer from potentially debilitating symptoms of stress and stress related health issues at some point
in their lives and surprisingly people are often unaware that they are suffering from stress related health issues. Studies have shown that people who
are stressed are more likely to eat unhealthy food and hence land in complications such as diabetes, obesity and other joint related problems such as
arthritis. High levels of stress in pregnant women may also trigger dangerous changes in their children, which include behavioral and developmental
issues. Effectively coping with stress, managing it and finding ways to reduce unnecessary, unhealthy levels of stress are important skills of life.

Physical Fitness And Educational Programs
The film "Fit" explores the evolution of fitness in the daily lives of American men and women. From being defined as a "vision of the body and its
possibilities" to a literal culture of physical strength and appeal, how we understand fitness has been shaped throughout many generations. In the late
nineteenth century, the belief that participating in daily or at least frequent physical exercise was good for the body was starting to become more
popular. People were developing their own programs of calisthenics, and starting to train their bodies. With the emergence ofphysical fitness and
educational programs, the concept of physical fitness blew up and became much more widespread. Certain figures in the movement put forth beliefs
that the ideal body emulated Renaissance ideals, and were strong, perfect, and symmetrical. Men began working to become stronger, while women
developed "aesthetic dances" to keep their bodies fit. It was commonly believed that women lost energy faster than men, and that vigorous activities
would limit their abilities to reproduce; so, activities that demonstrated extreme physical endurance were almost completely limited to men. As the
twentieth century approached, fitness crusades swept across the country. The body became inspected, approved, and admired for its physical
capabilities. With the obsession of beauty in muscular aspects came the obsession with genetic perfection through the mating of "superior" people, or
eugenics. Men and women were

The Importance Of Physical Fitness
Since the whole body is used while dancing, physical fitness is a necessity in regards to proper execution of steps, reducing the risk of injury, and
increasing the longevity of a performer's career. According to Koutedakis, "physical fitness is an individual's ability to meet demands of specific
physical tasks." Aerobic strength allows dancers to work harder for longer periods of time; an increase in stamina helps dancers get through
demanding pieces and classes. ___Muscular strength can also be applied in regards to fitness as it helps reduce injuries and focuses on exercise
specific to a certain outcome (Irvine). A common misconception is that dancers do not need strength training because bulging muscles are contradictory
to the smooth, elongated lines of the dancer aesthetic. In actuality, there are two types of muscles that can be built: slow and fast muscle fibers. Slow
muscles are leaner and are more flexible. Fast muscles are the ones that bulge; they are used largely in jumping, hence male dancers having large
quadriceps that aide in their high jumps. Resistance training is often used as a way to increase muscle strength without increasing muscle mass in a
drastic way. Overloading is the only way to increase muscle strength during training; a muscle must reach its maximum capacity of contraction in order
for true generation of muscle to begin. It is also imperative that the muscles that come in pairs, an example being the quadriceps and hamstrings of the
legs, grow

Physical Fitness And Mental Fitness
One of the most well–known facts in the field of health and psychology is that physical fitness indeed increases one's mental activity and increases
mental fitness. This fact has been proved through decades worth of careful and dedicated research on the "mind–body" connection that exists in human
beings. However, while this might be an accepted fact, scholars these days are still being surprised with new discoveries, including how exercising
affects the brain and how do these "benefits" happen to be. Perhaps one of the most common misconceptions about the brain is that it is a 'muscle'
(Edlund, 2013). However, basic anatomy would show that despite containing a little bit of muscle, the brain is mostly composed of white and grey
matters, which are responsible for the transmission of electrical impulses through a series of chemical reactions. From these series of transmissions, the
electrical impulses become responsible for information transmission throughout the whole body (Godman, 2014). However, one of the more apparent
differences here is that while muscle develops through physical exertion, the brain does not. And, being a well–known fact, this led to many people
thinking that in order to improve one's mental well–being, the best thing to do is to read books, engage in puzzles, and do things that would directly
affect your brain. While this would certainly be beneficial, plenty of other factors (biological and psychological) could affect an individual's perception

Effects Of Physical Activity On Academic Performance
It is well known that exercise and physical activity have myriad positive effects and benefits on a person's physical health. A similar concept to think
about is the relationship between physical activity and mental health, specifically academic performance. Through my research of studies, trials, and
reviews I believe that physical activity has a positive effect on academic performance, leading to higher grade point averages, achievement in
post–compulsory education, and learning. To look at the effects of physical activity on academic performance, researchers Kari, Pehkonen, Nen,
Raitakari, and Tammelin conducted a longitudinal study entitled, "Longitudinal Associations between Physical Activity and Educational Outcomes,"
examining physical activity performed in leisure time outside of school affected academic achievement throughout basic education and education
obtained in adulthood. The study looked at Finnish male and female children ages 12 and 15, and continued collecting data until the subjects reached
their 40s. The participants self–reported their physical activity in overall leisure–time outside school hours, participation in sports club training
sessions, and participation in sports competitions. Academic performance was measured in the form of the grade point average and years of
post–compulsory education attained in adult hood. The researchers found that physical activity in childhood positively affected the educational
outcome of their subjects. They noted

The Importance Of Physical Fitness
Physical fitness, defined by the Merriam–Webster Dictionary as good health and strength achieved through exercise, gives students nationwide a goal
to work towards. High school sports, particularly football and basketball, are very popular in the United States of America as a way for students to stay
in shape and compete during their teenage years. While 975,808 students nationwide participated in basketball in 2016, football showed itself to be the
most popular sport in the country, being played by 1,085,272 students across the United States. Different techniques are employed in order to get
student athletes into shape for different sports. Because basketball consists of more constant running, often times the conditioning just consists of
running; however, since football requires athletes to apply more full body strength during the play, football conditioning often entails a more entire
body workout. Athletes must engage in push ups and other complete body exercises in addition to the cardio work that they are expected to complete.
Even though basketball players may run more than football players, they do not have the full body workouts that football players do. Since strength

integral component of the culture of high school football, lifting shows up more for the gridiron programs while the hardwood clubs don't always

Physical Fitness Has A Great Impact On A Person 's Body
Physical fitness has a great impact on a person 's body. Exercise provides health benefits, increases strength and energy, enhances a person 's
appearance, which helps with self–esteem and also relieves stress. Being a fitness freak I've decided to set a foundation of a gym. My gym will be
called "Train Yourself". A name which can give enough willpower to everyone who becomes a part of it. I 'll have to start from scratch. Obviously
I've never done this before but always wished for. I am investing a healthy figure of $50,000. Good money requires good planning. First of all I
would need a perfect location, a location which is easily accessible by the people and is fairly large. A friend of mine is a real estate agent, he had
promised me to help. A business need planning, I have no business background but my brother–in–law has a good experience in this field. I would
really appreciate his help. My gym would definitely need publicity. I 've already contacted few ad companies and flyers will be distributed around the
city in the following month. To make it even more popular I'm planning to invite Mr. Dwayne Johnson, a popular celebrity on the inauguration day
which is yet to be decided. Then comes the equipment's. I 'll equip my gym with the best quality machines. Hammer strength and Sole fitness are my
priority for now. My meeting with these company dealers is scheduled for the next week. My order is of 800 machines. Other than this padded floor

Physical Benefits Of Physical Strength And Physical Fitness
PART A
1
Cardiovascular Endurance is the ability of your heart, lungs, and blood vessels to delivery oxygen to your body tissue during physical activity. The
more efficiently your body delivers oxygen, the lower your breathing rate is. An activity to improve your cardioactive strength is swimming. It builds
up endurance and increases lung capacity. This type ofexercise can slowly be bumped up after your body gets use to each exercise.
Muscular endurance is the ability to have a muscle or group of muscles to do a repeated action against a resisting force over a course of time. A way
you can improve your muscular endurance is by doing simple actions like push ups, plank position in yoga, and sit–ups.
Muscular strength is the maximum amount of force a muscle can use against a resistance in a single action. Lifting, squatting, and bench–pressing
weights are all activities that can improve muscular strength.
Flexibility is how much you can bend without damaging any part of your body. The range of motion your joints and muscles can move freely. People
practice their flexibility by doing the splits and casual stretches in yoga and tai–chi classes. These should be done regularly to stop the muscles from
seizing up.
2. Mental Benefits of Being Physically Fit Its been shown that certain types of exercises that stretch and then releases the muscle, will help to lower
your overall tension and stress levels. Yoga classes deal directly with these types of exercises. Physical

Physical Fitness Assessment After completing a couple of the physical fitness test I learned that even though I feel healthy I could work on my
fitness. Discovering that I gain shortness of breath rather quickly for my age. I know I am not in the best shape but I am still young which it is
easier to change habit of exercising now rather than later. Taking these test I found out that I am not fit for my age yet not all results were poor
results. My results for the body mass index test was 21.2 which is considered healthy and at low risk for cardiovascular disease. The results for the
health age questionnaire showed that my life expectancy will be 92 years old which I can believe because the woman in my family have lived long

The Importance Of Physical Fitness Among Children
Introduction The importance of physical activity remains crucial throughout one's entire life. An individual's physical fitness begins at the early stages
of youth and is necessary to promote a healthy lifestyle in their future. There is currently 38.1% of American children age 2–19 that are either obese or
overweight. (Myoungock & Whittemore, 2015). Since obesity among children is a growing phenomenon, physical fitness can ensure that children
are preventing diseases for their future. Today 70% of American children age 5 to 17 that are obese or overweight have at risk factors for a least one
cardiovascular disease (CVD) and another 39% have two or more risk factors (Myoungock & Whittemore, 2015). A lack of physical fitness is a
growing issue within the US and nowadays children aren't meeting the necessary fitness recommendations per day. "Recent recommendations for
physical activity among children... includes at least 1 hour a day... 8% of American adolescents meet these recommendations."(Cradock, Ichiro, Molnar
& Pabayo, 2014). The purpose of this paper is to further the knowledge of parents, guardians and health care providers of the mental and physical
health concerns associated with no physical activity performed in younger children. This will be shown through the barriers and and challenges
children and their parents face together. With heightened costs of organized sports programs, safety issues, and stress caused by conflicts between the
parent and child, strategies to

The Challenges Of Fitness: The Life Without Physical Fitness
Physical fitness is a major factor to determine the output of a person's life. Life will be miserable and unsuccessful without good health. The life
without physical fitness is like "ship without a rudder". One who is physically fit enjoys robust health and has a fine physique with satisfactory levels
of social and emotional adjustments. According to Rober, "physical fitness is the ability to carry out everyday task with vigour and alertness without
undue fatigue and with ample energy to enjoy leisure time pursuits and to meet unforeseen emergencies".
The challenge facing the fitness professional is how best to manipulate progressively over load and intermix intensity, duration and frequency with a

The Importance Of Physical Fitness
Understanding the level of fitness a person initially exhibits prior to beginning a fitness regimen is extremely important in helping them improve their
well being. Hoeger and Hoeger (2015) include the current methods for testing an individual's baseline of physical fitness include body composition,
cardiovascular, flexibility, muscular strength along with endurance benchmarks. Additional important benchmarks such as mentalhealth will be
investigated, with research completed by Gomez–Pinilla and Hillman (2013), that connects exercises influence on cognitive ability. Pedersen and
Saltin's (2015) publication of the implementation of exercise to combat chronic disease will help the vast benefits of exercise as a prescribable health
option. Getting an evaluation of physical fitness is not something most people will think about when they decide to begin following a fitness regimen,
but this can be an important first step in achieving a healthy lifestyle. YMCA locations often offer health assessments, along with physical fitness tests
for a small fee. Using the individual's physical attributes to compare them with peers of the same group. Before beginning the exercise portion an
examiner will complete a health screening to determine height, weight, resting heart rate, resting blood pressure and a body composition examination.
This health screening can be helpful in determining risk factors an individual may be susceptible to based on the test results.

Exercise Is Any Bodily Activity That Enhances Our Physical...
Physical exercise is any bodily activity that enhances our physical fitness and mental and physical health. Exercise can be used for various purposes
such as strengthening muscles and the cardiovascular system, sharpening athletic skills, weight loss, and enjoyment. A person can lower his/her
obesity level significantly and become more physically fit by just exercising for 30–45 minutes 3–5 days a week. Physical activity improves mental
health, helps prevent depression, and helps to promote or maintain positive self–esteem. After hours of research, I have a good idea about the positive
effect of exercising. I will use these ideas to help inform my friends and family about the benefits of various exercises and persuade them to be
involved in some sort of physical activity. Are you getting a bit tired of extra belly around your waist? Are you becoming gradually slothful, chubby?
I 'd like to show you that we all are in need of exercise, because nobody will argue that exercise is harmful. I 'd like to tell my audience, not how to
exercise, but to persuade them to go out and do some exercise.
According to heart disease facts, Cardio vascular diseases are one of the leading causes in America. According to the centers for disease control and
prevention "About 600,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year". Alongside other heart diseases Coronary is one of the common
malady. "Coronary heart disease alone costs the United States $108.9 billion each year".

Fitness For Life : Physical And Emotional Wellness
When I looked at my schedule I was surprised when a saw I had a gym class on it. Then I realized that my first ever college lecture was Fitness for
Life, bright and early on monday morning. But I did not understand that it was so much more than a gym class. Fitness for Life helps students gain
a better understanding of overall wellness and physical activity, while balancing life expectations. Fitness for Life helped me be a healthier
person. Wellness is more than the absence of illness. It is a constant and deliberate effort to stay healthy and achieve the highest potential for well
being. My personal wellness pie chart right now is extremely unbalanced. My physical and emotional wellness are the only thing that are equal.
The larger two wellness aspects are social and intellectual. They tend to be larger because I am constantly with my friends and working on
homework. After making my pie chart I realized how low or small my spiritual wellness was. I want that my spiritual life to be a bigger part in my
life. In my personal wellness balance chart goals all of my different types of illnesses are equal. I want my life to be balanced in every aspect of
wellness. I know most of the time my life is not balanced, but balance is what I want to strive for. Doing these pie charts made me think about what
wellness aspects I need to focus more on to have a balanced life. Good risk management of the wellness components require knowledge of their natures

The Physical and Mental Improvements as an Effect of...
Throughout this whole year, there have been many physical as well as mental improvements that have come as an effect of physical fitness. For
myself, I know that mentally I'm a stronger and more agile when it comes to my thoughts. And physically, I can see that my breathing has improved,
and my stamina is longer.
At the beginning of the year, I knew that I wasn't in the best shape of my life. My breathing was heavy when I ran, and my lap times were, by far,
not the greatest. I could see the room for improvement for it was a long way ahead of me. As the year started, the everyday workouts became the
hardest things. But while the time progressed, so did my body. The stairs were no challenge, and I was able to run up and down all of them ... Show

The training progressed and I saw a real improvement in myself as I could soon do two, then four laps without much difficulty. While doing
housework at home, I noticed that many of my muscles, such as my quadriceps and calves. Internally, my lungs have a higher capacity, and my
breathing has quieted down. I felt a calm in my mind for the first time while running. Exercising has really helped me clear out all of my bad thoughts
and I focused on the good things in my day. By doing that, my family, and myself saw a change in my personality. A happier change.
Since I started running, and exercising in general, I have noticed that my waist has slimed down. Maybe not so much that its noticeable, but there is a
change. My actual weighed has been 'yo–yoing', as they say, but overall, I have lost a couple pounds. And I'm glad. My body composition had
balanced out, or so I think.
Running was not the only working exercise I have experienced in physical education. The Harvard Step test, along with running the stairs, and on the
rare occasion, working out in the weight training room helped tone specific muscles on my body. The Harvard Step test, which is basically stepping
up on a stair, or something higher than ground level, and stepping down, and then repeating that action for three minutes. The exercise really have us

The Importance Of Physical Fitness For College Athletes
Physical fitness is vital for many college athletes. Things like muscle strength, muscular endurance, anaerobic, and aerobic power are crucial to
success of the athlete's performance. The vital physical fitness of the athletes is to increase training sessions before the season and during season.
Some of these training session that college athletes participate in can lead to an increase in stress on certain muscles. These muscles weaken over time
due to the athlete not giving a proper time to recover from training and playing. The most common injury for athletes are knee injuries. Some of the
most common, but are not limited to, include ACL, MCL, patellofemoral pain, and strains. Knee braces are the most common way of helping reduce
knee pain and prevent any further damage to the joint. Though helpful knee braces can sometimes be uncomfortable, are not always supportive enough,
and are bulky. Due to these inconveniences, many athletes are turning to other alternative like Kinesio tape (K–tape). Kinesio tape has been used for
many years and has helped many famous athletes like Kerri Walsh Jennings, James Harden with their pain. Now it is more common for athletes in
high schools and colleges to use Kinesio tape because of its effectiveness and easy application and removal. Kinesio tape and knee braces have been
under debate recently on which one would be more effective to use during physical activity.
Some of the research supports that Kinesio tape has helps reduce pressure to

History Of Physical Fitness And Exercise
The history of physical fitness and exercise. Physical exercise goes farther back than most people realize. People wouldn't have thought of it as
working out, but rather as a way of life. Centuries ago they did not have the machines and weights we have today, but yet people of that day were in
better shape than the people of today. Physical development followed a natural path that was determined by the practical needs of life as well as the
need to avoid threats and take advantage of opportunities for survival. To survive in a harsh environment filled with obstacles and human enemies, early
man had to know how to run, walk, balance, jump, crawl, climb, lift, carry, throw and catch, and fight. Early man did not develop strength through...

The Romans believed in having a sound mind, in a sound body. Physical culture started to rise beyond the bare necessities to become a means of an
"art de vivre."
From the 5th century to the 15th century, the teachings of Christianity spread the belief that the primary concern of one's lifetime was preparing for the
afterlife. The body was seen as sinful and not important. Education was significantly linked to the church, and focused on training the mind rather than
training the body. During the Renaissance Era there was a greater interest in the body, anatomy, biology, health, and physical education.
In 1553 Spaniard Cristobal Mendez wrote El Libro del Corporal y Sus Provechos, the first book to explain physical exercise and its benefits. In
Mendez's book exercise, games, and sports are all analyzed and described from a medical standpoint, and informs on how to prevent and recover from
injuries.
In 1569 Mercurialis, and Italian physician, wrote De Arte Gymnastica. The book touched on the ancient Greeks' and Romans' approach on hygiene,
diet, and exercise, and their methods on treatments for disease. The book included principles of physical therapy for the first time, and considered the
first book on sports medicine, which influenced a wave of physical education and training methods that came to be in Europe two centuries later.
In the early 19th century the rise of nationalism of many countries in Europe

Nutrition And Physical Fitness
Nutrition and Physical Fitness as Essential Tools for a Healthy Lifestyle I remember spending hours at the gym without seeing results. My routines
involved two hours cardio plus half an hour of conditioning combining abs, squats and leg rises. However, my non–smart intake behaviors would
remain, and I would consume junk food nearly every day whilst questioning why I was not seeing the results I aimed for after spending two and a
half hours at the gym every day. Yet the answer to this question seemed to be far away as I was faraway to follow the right pattern towardsphysical
fitness. People most of the time endeavor towards a perfect shape without bearing in mind the fact of combining healthy intake habits for optimal
results. For a person to have top outcomes and get benefited through a physically active life, it is vital to take into attention merging a healthy nutrition
while considering the components and different factors that involve living a physically active life. Living a physically active life offers benefits
people can take advantage of. One of them is reducing the risk of developing chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes and heart disease. People who
engage in a physically active life are less likely to develop diabetes since they just not only cut their weight, but they also preserve it, which in turn
decreases the risks of developing these health conditions because there is no room for excess of glucose nor clogged arteries since they follow a proper

Importance Of Physical Activity For Academic Performance

  • 1. Importance Of Physical Activity And Physical Fitness And... – Evidence from multiple studies suggests that increasing physical activity and physical fitness may improve academic performance. Evidence also states that dedicated time to recess in a school day, physical education class, and physical activity in the classroom may facilitate academic performance. – Research shows that cognitive performance and brain health are improved by single sessions of long–term participation in physical activity. The people who benefit the most are the ones who participate in vigorous or moderate–intensity physical activity during this period. In school, this long–term period would be during either the child's recess, physical education class, or physical activity in the classroom. – Through multiple tests, physical activity and physical fitness has been proved to improve academic performance. One example of a test used to prove this theory was when a seminal research was conducted by Gabbard and Barton (1979). This experiment consisted of six different conditions of physical activity (no activity, 20, 30, 40, and 50 minutes) and was completed by 106 2nd graders during physical education. Each of the physical education sessions were followed by a 5 minute rest and then a completion of 36 math problems. The authors found a potential threshold effect when noticing that only the 50–minute condition improved in mathematical performance. Other experiments like this one have also been conducted to prove academic improvement from physical activity. – ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Goal Setting Is An Best Way For Students With Track And... Goal setting is an excellent way for students to track and improve upon physical fitness levels. The importance of being able to set goals and to try to achieve them is that each individual student can assess where they are and set goals to improve. Not all students can achieve the same fitness standards. Some students are born with more muscle mass or more fast twitch muscle fibers than other students. Some students have asthma or other physical difficulties that make it difficult to measure up with other students when all students are required to get a certain score on a fitness test to get an A. Using goal setting where all students can be successful by reaching their goals and showing improvement could be a positive influence for future motivation. While problem based learning can help students to learn and use goal setting (Hubball 2006), goal setting may not always help students to achieve greater fitness levels. Hill (2015) found that those students who set goals over an 18 week period did not have any significant improvement over those students that did not set goals on the pacer and push up tests. Similarly, in another study looking at the effects of goal setting on Native elders found only a weak correlation between goal setting and improvement on the amount of steps taken in a day using a pedometer (Sawchuck 2011). The problem with this study was that the researchers set the goals for the participants. It may be more important that students set their own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Physical Fitness: Betters Your Golf Game Get Fit: Let Physical Fitness Better Your Golf Game Although golf may not seem like a sport that would require a lot of physical training, it does. People all over the world underestimate the proper physical training golfers need for their golf game to be at the level he or she aspires it to be at. Golf had always been viewed as a game of leisure, but today's golfer is leaner, stronger, and fitter. Without spending hundreds of dollars on a teaching professional, and endless stressful hours at the golf course or driving range, one can improve his or her golf game by doing the proper combination of flexibility training, resistance training, cardiovascular training, using appropriate supplements, and eating a well balanced diet on a daily ... Stretching increases any golfers ability to perform what their swing coach is constantly telling him or her by about having the right "touch and feeling", especially when trying to accomplish specific tasks by simply having the appropriate weight on each side of their body and eliminating the pressure in their grip which travels up their entire arm. Flexibility training is most important for golfers because it helps develop body control and awareness, allowing it to be easier to perform the exact motions in the golf swing that a swing coach asks of. Stretching a highly recommended and very important before, during, and after a round of golf not only to increase the player's flexibility but to allow their body to swing more freely and improve club and distance control (Piazza). To be fully successful in the game of golf the player needs to attain a well balanced shoulder turn and reach a high finish by swinging the club, and to increase their range of motion, they need the proper flexibility training (Piazza). Resistance training is any type of exercise that causes the muscles to contract against an external resistance with the expectation of it increases in mass, tone, strength, and/or endurance (Doan). • 4. Google Fit : Tracking Your Progress Is A Huge Part Of... Google Fit Tracking your progress is a huge part of physical fitness. In order to truly know how you are progressing you have to keep track of what you have done. This includes a wide variety of physical activities. Logging work out sessions, what exercises were conducted, what weights were used, what distances where traveled, and more is a key component of tracking your progress. Not only should people track their physical fitness sessions, but they should also track their input vs. output ratio. To put it simply they should know how many calories they took in verses how many they burned off throughout the day. This is an essential part of being and living healthy. Google fit is yet another initiative by Google aimed at helping people become healthier. A little more on the basic side of things Google fit allows its users to set their own goals. It also allows user to add in work outs or exercises that were not tracked by the app. That means that if a user does not like to work out with their mobile device, as some of them can be quite large, they can log into Google fit after their work out and add an activity. Users who wish to track their weight loss can enter their height and weight into the system and track how much they have lost that week, month, or year. One of the bigger parts of the Google fit project is that a large part of it is not based on Google. • 5. Executive Desk Information About Physical Fitness Test Directors Desk information about physical fitness test study Correctional Officers are an integral part of ADC completing the mission. The selection process used to select Correctional Officer has recently been transformed through the ongoing LEAN process. In the spirit of continuous improvement, the agency has examined the physical fitness selection tool used to assess CO applicants and Cadets ability to perform the job of Correctional Officer. The agency entered into an agreement with a private firm, Industrial Onsite Network (ION), to conduct an analysis of the current physical fitness standards used in the Correctional Officer selection and training process and how well they correlate to the actual tasks that CO's perform on a daily basis. The standards that are currently used in the hiring process and COTA graduation were implemented after a similar study that was completed in 1991. Since that study was completed in 1991, many changes have occurred in the Correctional field. Advancements have occurred not only with the technology we use in our field of work, such as electronic gates and doors, but also in the medical/physical and testing fields. Legal requirements to test for only ability to perform job– job related tasks have been reconsidered and opinions of experts and government oversight agencies such as EEOC about what determines a job related test have changed. To assess an individual Sailors health and mission readiness, Physical Fitness Assessments (PFAs) are being redesigned. The current PFA model enforces maximum body fat percentages and minimum physical readiness scores, but falls short on evaluating a Sailors overall health, does not adequately reflect the challenges unique to sea duty, and the increasingly technical nature of sea duty positions. Not disbelief of the fact that I had simply reached my long–desired goal, but of the fact that I finally felt a sense of pride in all the demanding work and attention to detail that I put forth in order to reach this goal. • 8. Basic Importance Of Physical Fitness The Importance of Overall Fitness of EMS Personnel Wesley J. Markham College of Central Florida The Importance of Overall Fitness of EMS Personnel So, what is physical fitness? The definition I tend to use, which also pertains to the EMT in a physically demanding situation, is old but worth including: "Physical fitness is the ability to last, to bear up, to withstand stress, and to persevere under difficult circumstances where an unfit person would give up." No one wants to tell a patient in a life–threatening state that they have to catch their breath before they can continue patient care. Beyond the basic definition of physical fitness, you should be familiar with its three general components: body composition; cardiorespiratory endurance; and musculoskeletal fitness. These components can be measured separately, and each assessment will provide information regarding your fitness level in each specific category. For example, an individual may score well in cardiorespiratory fitness but poorly in flexibility, or poorly in cardiorespiratory fitness, but well in muscular strength. Bettering your overall physical fitness improves your ability to perform under physical stress and reduces your risk of developing chronic lifestyle–related diseases, such as diabetes, coronary artery disease and hypertension. Body composition is used to describe the percentages of fat, bone, water and muscle in human bodies. Because muscular tissue takes up less space in our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While a balanced educational program specializing in physical therapy, fitness instruction, and overall health is capable of imparting the knowledge necessary to effectively train others, it is the prerogative of each graduating student to assess the job market and decide between working in a traditional gym and seeking self–employed status. For most aspiring fitness trainers and physical therapists, the realization of long held ambitions will be delivered in the form of a secure and steady full–time position with a major fitness franchise such as Gold's Gym, Snap Fitness, or Bally Total Fitness. With recently released statistics from the U.S. Department of Labor stating that "employment of fitness trainers and instructors is expected to grow by 24 percent from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations," (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2012), the majority of individuals with a fitness–based degree or certification are enticed by the protection offered by such a robust industry. Others are drawn to the freedom and excitement of working as a freelance personal trainer, relishing the opportunity to travel, meet new clients and develop customized fitness programs. Based on my physical activity and recovery logs, I was more likely to participate in exercise after getting at least eight hours of restful sleep the night before, therefore it will be important for me to get enough rest. I will continue to measure my resting heart rate to monitor improvements. During the two weeks of my physical activity and recovery log I did not do any weight training. My goal based on this is to start weight training in order to tone and gain muscle endurance. To achieve this goal, I will do resistance training two times per week. I will do a low–intensity workout with free weights ranging from 5–20 lbs. For each muscle group I will do 3 sets of 12 repetitions with a 30 second break in between. For muscle recovery, it will be important to eat lean proteins, as well as allow one day of rest in between weight training workouts (Mayo Clinic, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. Fitness And Physical Activities Analysis A. At the beginning of the semester I was not regularly active during my weekdays or weekends. I would go on walks, an occasional run and use my elliptical machine at home but never on a regular basis. Once, I started this course and the training peaks assignment, I began to incorporate a variety of physical activities in order to make it easier for me to become active on a regular basis. I chose physical activities that I would find enjoyable and even discovered new physical activities that I had not tried before to be very enjoyable, like power yoga and racquetball. The second week of using Training Peaks was when I began to be physically active on a regular basis, which was 5–7 days a week. I made sure to invest at least half an hour in each physical activity I would partake it. I found that I tend to spend more than half an hour doing the physical activities that I enjoy more, like racquetball and riding my mountain bike. I started playing racquetball and mountain biking for forty–five minutes initially and no I have increased the time to a whole hour. • 17. Physical Fitness And Educational Programs The film "Fit" explores the evolution of fitness in the daily lives of American men and women. From being defined as a "vision of the body and its possibilities" to a literal culture of physical strength and appeal, how we understand fitness has been shaped throughout many generations. In the late nineteenth century, the belief that participating in daily or at least frequent physical exercise was good for the body was starting to become more popular. People were developing their own programs of calisthenics, and starting to train their bodies. With the emergence ofphysical fitness and educational programs, the concept of physical fitness blew up and became much more widespread. Certain figures in the movement put forth beliefs that the ideal body emulated Renaissance ideals, and were strong, perfect, and symmetrical. Men began working to become stronger, while women developed "aesthetic dances" to keep their bodies fit. It was commonly believed that women lost energy faster than men, and that vigorous activities would limit their abilities to reproduce; so, activities that demonstrated extreme physical endurance were almost completely limited to men. As the twentieth century approached, fitness crusades swept across the country. The body became inspected, approved, and admired for its physical capabilities. With the obsession of beauty in muscular aspects came the obsession with genetic perfection through the mating of "superior" people, or eugenics. Men and women were ... • 18. The Importance Of Physical Fitness Since the whole body is used while dancing, physical fitness is a necessity in regards to proper execution of steps, reducing the risk of injury, and increasing the longevity of a performer's career. According to Koutedakis, "physical fitness is an individual's ability to meet demands of specific physical tasks." Aerobic strength allows dancers to work harder for longer periods of time; an increase in stamina helps dancers get through demanding pieces and classes. ___Muscular strength can also be applied in regards to fitness as it helps reduce injuries and focuses on exercise specific to a certain outcome (Irvine). A common misconception is that dancers do not need strength training because bulging muscles are contradictory to the smooth, elongated lines of the dancer aesthetic. In actuality, there are two types of muscles that can be built: slow and fast muscle fibers. Slow muscles are leaner and are more flexible. Fast muscles are the ones that bulge; they are used largely in jumping, hence male dancers having large quadriceps that aide in their high jumps. Resistance training is often used as a way to increase muscle strength without increasing muscle mass in a drastic way. Overloading is the only way to increase muscle strength during training; a muscle must reach its maximum capacity of contraction in order for true generation of muscle to begin. It is also imperative that the muscles that come in pairs, an example being the quadriceps and hamstrings of the legs, grow ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 19. Physical Fitness And Mental Fitness One of the most well–known facts in the field of health and psychology is that physical fitness indeed increases one's mental activity and increases mental fitness. This fact has been proved through decades worth of careful and dedicated research on the "mind–body" connection that exists in human beings. However, while this might be an accepted fact, scholars these days are still being surprised with new discoveries, including how exercising affects the brain and how do these "benefits" happen to be. Perhaps one of the most common misconceptions about the brain is that it is a 'muscle' (Edlund, 2013). However, basic anatomy would show that despite containing a little bit of muscle, the brain is mostly composed of white and grey matters, which are responsible for the transmission of electrical impulses through a series of chemical reactions. From these series of transmissions, the electrical impulses become responsible for information transmission throughout the whole body (Godman, 2014). However, one of the more apparent differences here is that while muscle develops through physical exertion, the brain does not. And, being a well–known fact, this led to many people thinking that in order to improve one's mental well–being, the best thing to do is to read books, engage in puzzles, and do things that would directly affect your brain. While this would certainly be beneficial, plenty of other factors (biological and psychological) could affect an individual's perception and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 20. Effects Of Physical Activity On Academic Performance It is well known that exercise and physical activity have myriad positive effects and benefits on a person's physical health. A similar concept to think about is the relationship between physical activity and mental health, specifically academic performance. Through my research of studies, trials, and reviews I believe that physical activity has a positive effect on academic performance, leading to higher grade point averages, achievement in post–compulsory education, and learning. To look at the effects of physical activity on academic performance, researchers Kari, Pehkonen, Nen, Raitakari, and Tammelin conducted a longitudinal study entitled, "Longitudinal Associations between Physical Activity and Educational Outcomes," examining physical activity performed in leisure time outside of school affected academic achievement throughout basic education and education obtained in adulthood. The study looked at Finnish male and female children ages 12 and 15, and continued collecting data until the subjects reached their 40s. The participants self–reported their physical activity in overall leisure–time outside school hours, participation in sports club training sessions, and participation in sports competitions. Academic performance was measured in the form of the grade point average and years of post–compulsory education attained in adult hood. The Importance Of Physical Fitness Physical fitness, defined by the Merriam–Webster Dictionary as good health and strength achieved through exercise, gives students nationwide a goal to work towards. High school sports, particularly football and basketball, are very popular in the United States of America as a way for students to stay in shape and compete during their teenage years. While 975,808 students nationwide participated in basketball in 2016, football showed itself to be the most popular sport in the country, being played by 1,085,272 students across the United States. Different techniques are employed in order to get student athletes into shape for different sports. Because basketball consists of more constant running, often times the conditioning just consists of running; however, since football requires athletes to apply more full body strength during the play, football conditioning often entails a more entire body workout. Athletes must engage in push ups and other complete body exercises in addition to the cardio work that they are expected to complete. Even though basketball players may run more than football players, they do not have the full body workouts that football players do. Since strength can directly be found as a central part of the definition of physical fitness, weight training contributes greatly to the aforementioned subject.
