Descriptive Essay On Graduation Day
Monday, May 16th, graduation day. It's 5:37 in the morning and I remember this cause I never
wake up earlier than 8 unless I have to, but today I didn't have to. It's the day culminating twelve
years of hard work and dedication into a three hour ceremony in which I will actually have to do
something with my life other than a routine I believe I've perfected throughout these last four
years. I roll over and pick up my phone, a dim light comes through a slit in my window shades just
to remind me how early it actually is. I can't fall back asleep so I decide to get out of bed. I sit up on
my bed rubbing my eyes trying to make sense of the room around me, I may have lived here for 18
years but I can never find the cord to my ceiling light. I...show more content...
I however head toward the light that is just cresting the horizon. I continue walking not paying
attention to where I'm going, I've walked it so many times that it just comes naturally. I finally
get to where I'm going, a little pond only a few minutes away from my house. As I grab my
lighter from my left pocket and my orange flavored Swisher Sweet from my right, I can not help
but think of my friends and how much I will miss them. I lean on the railing as I light it and
watch the smoke blend in with early morning mist rising from the water only a foot or so. I keep
thinking about everyone I know and how all of my life is about to start changing. I hear little
splashes from fish catching the bugs unlucky enough to have fallen in the water. Those bugs lives
are completely over and I think mine could end up that way too. I feel the warmth of the fire start
warming my finger telling my it's done. I flick the last bit out into the water and I hear a small
splash. I tell myself, "It's okay to move on". I'm back at home in my shower, I've always rather
enjoyed showers. I've never liked the rain or water or snow. But something about feeling water
cascade down your body, warming you up as it goes really gets me. I listen as the song "Last Night"
by G–Eazy ft. Kyle starts its slow build up. I've always liked to listen to music, whether it be the
beat and instrumentals of a song, or the meaning of the lyrics, I've always had an appreciation for
music. There's something about this

My Career Plan after Graduation: How to manage my Professional and Holistic Lifestyle. I
decided to pursue a career in nursing because, there is plenty of scarcity in the field and I feel like
I can make a difference. I plan to focus most of my care in both acute and chronic setting. I will
focus my career plan on the first and fifth year time frame. I will also touch up on different method
I will use to illuminate my game plan when I do finish my Bachelor in Nursing. My Transition to
Professional Nursing Role Professional nursing practitioners travel a long path to become experts in
their field. Admission requirements into the BSN program vary from university to university but
retain basic similarities. Universities and Colleges demand that the prospective student passes in
English composition, life sciences, physical sciences, Mathematics, humanities, social, and
behavioral sciences. Upon my admission, to Chamberlain College of Nursing it took me about two
and half years of study to complete my pre–requisites. Typically, the course comprises studies in
physiology, human anatomy, nursing care, nursing pharmacology, illness management and mental
health nursing as the foundation units. Support units include research methods, leadership and
management (of health services), critical thinking, decision–making and professional development.

My Five Year Plan After Graduation Essay
My Five Year Plan After Graduation
Five years after graduation I plan to obtain a master's degree in law enforcement. Right now I'am
really not sure what I really want to truly do for the rest of my life. The only thing I like doing is
finding clues and figuring out the criminal in mystery books.
I know that sense I like doing that, it leads me to desiring a position as a detective or something
dealing with the FBI.
Im thinking that its most likely that I will go to a university. If I do, I will go to the University of
Phoenix. I'm attending the University of Phoenix for a few reasons but I'm ultimately going to the
university to become a detective. I want to be successful and rich so I can have all the good things in
life. I want...show more content...
So I finally decided that I'd have to study my way out of a middle class family. I'm working hard
in school because it's vital for my future. I need that education to accomplish all of the goals that I
have set out for myself. Although, my truly main goal in life is really to become a detective. You
will see why below.
Police and detectives maintain law and order, collect evidence and information, and conduct
investigations and surveillance. People depend on police officers and detectives to protect their lives
and property. Law enforcement officers, some of whom are State or Federal special agents or
inspectors, perform these duties in a variety of ways, depending on the size and type of their
organization. In most jurisdictions, they are expected to exercise authority when necessary, whether
on or off duty. Being a detective might be dangerous and stressful, but I'am willing to take that risk.
I know that in addition to the obvious dangers of confrontations with criminals, officers need to be
constantly alert and ready to deal appropriately with a number of other threatening situations. Many
law enforcement officers witness death and suffering resulting from accidents and criminal
behavior. A career in law enforcement may take a toll on officers' private lives. Candidates must be
U.S. citizens, usually at least 20 years of age, and must meet rigorous physical

It's hard to believe that we are actually sitting here in the auditorium for the last time as students of
Kheradmand High. But we are! We made it through four years of high school. Now we are
teetering on the edge of the rest of our lives, having to grow up and head out into the "real" world.
That thought might scare some people, but we are ready. After all, if you decide that you don't
want to be a part of the real world, maybe, you can always come back to Kheradmand High and
maybe they will let you be a teacher.
Remember the first day you stepped foot onto the Kheradmand High School campus, and how
awestruck you were by the size of the seniors? Not only were they tall, they were enormous. I
wonder if we had that same effect on the...show more content...
How can you complain about being able to sleep in an extra hour each week? Those who never
make it to class on time truly appreciated the free tardy.
Our sophomore year inspired the anti–spamming rule. When people got in touch with one of the
finer things in life by our spamming of a pep assembly, it led to the banning of one of the basic food
groups. Sorry for all of you who love your Spam.
Our junior year, the administration tried to appease us by not requiring us to do a Senior Exit
Project. Perhaps they mistook us for the last class of the old century, instead of the first class of the
new millennium. Or perhaps they had not yet recovered from Freshman Focus.
In our senior year, the administration fought back. They forced us to sit through Planning Team
for an hour each week. Were they trying to make people drop out? Well we survived! They also
changed the Senior Lot to the Student Lot! But after the senior guys explained the importance of
the Senior Lot tradition to the underclassmen, the underclassmen quickly realized that the street
was a much safer place to park. Maybe we did inspire some of the same awe of the classes that
preceded us. We ran the school like a senior class is supposed to.
Now we are looking back trying to figure out just exactly what it is that we learned during our stay
in the halls and classrooms of Kheradmand High. I am convinced that we have learned many
worthwhile things that will serve us well

Essay about Graduation: A Defining Moment
Graduation is an exciting time in a person's life, especially a high school graduation. When I think
of family and friends gathering together to celebrate a joyous occasion, I feel I accomplished my
strongest goal. It never occurred to me that graduation would be the end of my youth and the start of
adulthood. Graduating from high school was an influential event that gave me an altered outlook on
my existence. Life before graduation, preparing for graduation day, and commencement day
overwhelmed me for reality.
Life before graduation was a struggle for me. I lived in a home that seemed to bring me nothing but
pain and anger. I watched someone close to me die little by little every day. I did not live a normal
childhood because I was a...show more content...
I was working harder than ever to finish high school early and it had really paid off. I prepared and
prepared but it wasn't enough to my surprise.
Graduation was not that far away and actuality was about to strike me like a lightning bolt in the butt.
The most significant practice of the year approached us seniors. The staff put us into groups to
keep all the seniors in order. We all were divided into sections and labeled after letters and
numbers. Soon after, all the senior class entered the auditorium in an orderly fashion. The
practice had us recall memories of our freshmen to senior years. I saw a video that showed
pictures of my youth to a young adult. I begin to think of the past and how much fun I had
growing up. I also thought about how I would never see some of my friends again. After some
time, the staff wanted us to practice walking across the stage. I did not quite understand why we
needed to do this; I figured they wanted us to see how fast our life would flash in front of our
eyes. At last, practice was over and I was able to go pick up my cap and gown. During this time, I
thought about the next day and how it would be the end of another chapter in my years.
Graduation day arrived and I had butterflies out of this world. It seemed as if I misplaced
everything. I could not find my dress. My family came from one state to another. I finally got to the
church were the commencement was going to be held. I

Stepping upon a simple stage was the best thing I could have ever done. Overseeing the multitude
that was there to witness my every word, every tremble, every emotion, and every heart beat, was
then that I realized that the sentiment was real. It was essentially the end of time and I could not
bear to hold back what I no intentions of doing. Cry. Tears of joy darted down my face as I
walked across the stage and received my ultimate gift. With fancy inscription, my gift was entitled
"Class of 2009". I had just graduated. "Ok seniors, everyone settle down and take your seat with
your name on it". The principle conducted everyone as we prepared to get ready for our practice
graduation walk. Amusement and volume suffocated the gym as...show more content...
I could sense the stares glaring upon me as I switched positions every second in my chair. Two
hours wasted out of my life before the orator called my name. With a shamble walk, insensible
arms, and a tilted head I deliberated myself across the front of the gym and out the door. One of
my classmates ran out the door and past me with glee assuring me that she would see me on
Monday, the day of our graduation. Saturday and Sunday went by fast. Vowing that God had cut
off at least twelve hours off my weekend, Monday morning arrived. I had to be at the coliseum at
nine a.m. I woke up at eight thirty on the dot. With no essential worries and not a care in the
world what I looked like, I merely jumped out of bed and put my graduation dress, cap, and gown
on. In six minutes flat I was ready to go. I made it out my room and past the mirror wall right
before I was about to leave. Looking at myself I knew I looked unacceptable, but my mind could
not lead me to care. Right before I could make it out the door my mom vented her words of
refutation. "Where do you think you are going? You did not bother to brush your hair, wash your
face nor take a shower." Thinking quickly, I managed to use time as my excuse and scampered out
the door to avoid any more questions. When I arrived at the coliseum, I was quite confused
considering I did not listening to anything the principal had stated at practice graduation

Graduation Speech : My Best Friend
In the third grade, my teacher had my whole class create a time capsule that was to be opened on
the day of our high school graduation. We filled it with letters and memories of our closest friends.
My best friend, Sofia, and I had grown extremely close within the first month of school; we were
inseparable. We managed to remain friends throughout the remainder of our elementary, middle, and
now high school years. To say that we have remained really close this entire time would be
stretching the truth. We were raised in extremely different household environments. For starters,
she was raised by a single mother and is youngest of eight siblings. I, on the other hand, only have
one older sibling. That being said, she was used to a large and chaotic environment; whereas, I
was more familiar with a calmer and smaller family of four; however, we still possessed similar
interests. Because we shared the love of dancing, we were in our middle school dance team and
continued on our journey of dance into our high school years up until our sophomore year when
we opted not to try out for the dance team for different reasons; it was the events that followed that
forced us to venture out into our different paths. She had gotten her first job at a fast food
restaurant where she quickly rearranged her priorities when she became easily influenced by some
of her coworkers. At the time, I could not comprehend why she would want to stress herself out with
a hectic work schedule. I, on the

T.S. Eliot once wrote, "What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to
make a beginning. The end is where we start from." Every landmark in our lives will end but there
is always a beginning to an end. As each new path ends a new one begins. Graduation marks the end
of a path but as it ends a new path begins.
Life is an adventure. We started out by walking on a winding path as we entered the destination of
kindergarten. As our lives ventured on down the winding path, we met new friends and new life
experiences along the way. As the path widens, we see ourselves on a countryroad. We started
elementary school and we constantly gained new knowledge to help us progress in our journey. As
we continued along in our...show more content...
As the paved path merged, we found ourselves no longer walking, but driving in cars on the
highway in high school. Life started to get more challenging and things started to move at a faster
pace. In this part of our lives we got to choose which way we wanted to go, left or right. We found
hardships up the steep hills and we might have stopped at many intersections. However, we
always proceeded with the flow of traffic no matter what obstacle gets in our way, we always
managed to get through it. As our lives traveled on the highway, we saw others take different
roads along our journey, but we always found ourselves choosing to keep with our commitment of
continuing. We all had to make pit stops along the way through homework and projects, but it
fueled us to get stronger and helped us gain knowledge to make it up those steep hills and
intersections. Finally, when graduation comes, the highway ends and merges to a new beginning
as we leave our memories in the past in our rearview mirror. Miles and miles of opportunities
await us. However, each one of us has a different goal or route in life, and each of us will find
different exits along the way to fulfill our dream. Some of us will take the express lanes and
continue our education through college. Some of us might follow the freeway not knowing where
fate will take us. Life isn't always easy on the freeway. Some of us might get stuck in traffic jams.

My fellow classmen, as we look back on our years here at school we should remember the
meaningful words of a fellow class member of mine when she said, "Dude, where's my iPod?" It's
hard for me to think of a better way to describe the many layers of adolescence, because deep
down aren?t we all "dudes?" Do we not all have our inner "iPods", and are we not constantly
searching for them? Now, we're leaving our childhood behind to study the vast sphere we call planet
Earth, into the notorious world of high school, where things will be so much different. Of course we
will still have our varied studies, Geometry, Biology, maybe even Forensics or an Accelerated
English class here and there. We will still struggle with the daily setbacks formed by...show more

Sixth grade was the year we indulged our childish impulses. We played at recess (now only ten
minutes long) swinging tetherballs and jumping off of slides (sorry Ms. C). It was our first step
into the harsh jungle of No. 2 pencils, algebra, and dare I say it?.upper class eighth graders. Once
again, we were at the bottom of the barrel. Let's get a show of hands. Who here remembers John
Smith? Yeah those were the days.
Seventh grade was a year of transition, (kind of a metamorphosis) a steady evolution from young
girls racing after Paul Stevenson to the more mature 2.0 version that comes from a daily diet of
Fall Out Boy and Ludacris. Ah, yes, seventh grade was a year of routy students, computer
privileges, and then?..the taking away of computer privileges. It?s a shame how much one little
video and a few dumb seventh grade girls can do.
Everyone knows the friends you make in eighth grade last a lifetime, and are we any exception?
Look around you, my classmates. As we have learned, these are the faces that will be with us
forever, even after they start driving or shaving. These lasting bonds come from pulling those
all–nighters before the big quadratic–equation exam (chapter ten I believe) and the grueling square

Graduation Day Essay
For most people their graduation day is one of the best days of their lives. No more high school,
and for some it means that they are now able to move out on their own and embark on the
independent journey of college. In my case my graduation day started out to be a great day but
turned out to be one of the worst. It is almost as if I wish I never had a ceremony. If there wasn't
graduation ceremony there wouldn't have been an accident. On June 13, 2011, I woke up a happy
and excited 17 year old for it was my graduation day and that meant no more high school, no more
nagging teachers, and no more drama. I met my friends and my boyfriend Andrew in the school

After we had walked out and took our seats I couldn't help but to stare at the empty seat next to

that there was an accident and after we graduate they will tell us where Andrew is at. As soon as
Ryan got off the phone he told me not to worry and that he probably broke his leg or something
and that he was in a hospital somewhere and that we will know where after we get our diplomas.
After a couple of speeches and a few diplomas later it was almost my row's turn to walk across the
stage and claim our diplomas. Right before we were to stand up and walk toward the stage I got
the worst news of my life. I got a call from Andrews frantic older brother. He asked if I had walked
yet I told him no and demanded to know where Andrew was. After a few minutes of heavy breaths
I heard the words, " Jenn, Andrews.... Andrews dead." The words echoed in my ears. I dropped
my phone and just sat there. I couldn't move, speak or even cry, I just sat there and stared. After a
few minutes I guess you could say it hit me. The tears came rolling off my face. Advisors and
school employees' ran to me

Graduation Memoir
Graduation memoir Senior year! Every senior is eager for graduation, their making college

they were right. I remember being an anxious eighth grader thinking about starting my freshman year
of high school. We went from being at the top of the school to being at the bottom of a new one.
All of our middle school teachers always told us about how our high school teachers wont "hold
our hands" and how we will be on our own. Being in high school is completely different than being
in elementary school and middle school. Its almost like each year we have more and more freedom
but more responsibility. Sophomore year was when it got more difficult for me, I've always had

walked back to my seat I feel my eyes start to water because I felt so proud of myself that I made it
to this point after years of hard work. I look around once I'm seated and see how happy everyone

Graduation Speech : My Learning Experience
My learning experience in this course
This course has taught me some valuable lessons of intellectual capital (IC) and the benefits my
organization has received from it over the years. For instance, in my department, my co–workers
have given the organization great praise for the training and the wealth of knowledge they have
gained from the many educational classes HR have conducted. I further learn that IC in every cross
section of my organization has increased the retention of employees. Anotherlearning experience
that I gain from IC is the increase level of every employee's skill and their capability of solving or
providing solution to customer's problem.
I further understand that in order for my organization to achieve long lasting change, leaders
embrace a commitment to learning for not just themselves, but also the organizations. They have
made significant strides in establishing a philosophy that further individual development through the
institutional, experiential, and personal development constructs. This philosophy has influenced
individual development from the early stages of their career to retirement; because, the organization
realize that additional benefits further develop a philosophy of long–term learning for the
organizations. For example, Senge recognizes the linkage of individual and organizational
development in his statement, "Individual learning does not guarantee organizational learning. But
without it, no organizational learning occurs" Senge,

Well, this is it, the day all of us have been waiting for has finally arrived. It seems like only
yesterday we were picking our noses and flicking them at innocent bystanders or yelling childish

What I'm trying to say is the years, have flown by and it's not going to be long before we're in the

You know, there is a lot more to graduating than leaving Rufus and getting a diploma. It's more than

We are knocking on the door of total independence, something we have never fully understood. We
have just barely begun the trip on the roller coaster of life and already it seems like we've had quite

undecided. But whichever path we take, it won't be easy and believe me, a year or two from now
you're gonna wish you were back at good old LHS because the term "9 to 5" is going to take on a

Our graduation is our coming of age, our right of passage. As we walk across this stage we are

Graduation
Through out life people go through so many hardships. Whether it be good or bad there is always
something that comes out of the situation. One of the most exciting but yet scariest events would be
graduation. For a lot of people, graduating from high school is a goal. It takes a lot of time and
effort to achieve that goal. In the long run, it opens a lot of opportunities for people to succeed.
Graduation is the end of high school, and the beginning to life. I can almost remember that day like

Once I was finished, I gathered up my cap and gown and my car keys and headed out the door. All
the graduates had to meet in the high school library an hour before the ceremonies started, and I
promised one of my best friends Tony that we would go together. I knocked on his back door and
let myself in like I always do. All of his family members were running throughout the house trying
to get ready. I asked his mom where Tony was and she proceeded to tell me that he was in the
bathroom getting ready. I tapped on the door and walked in. He was standing in front of the
mirror with his cap and gown on. He look me straight in the eyes and said," Can you believe that
we are about to graduate?" I replied," No, it really hasn't set in yet." Tony finished getting ready,
and then we left for the high school. The parking lot was filled with all the other seniors' cars.
Tony and I walked into the library ten minutes late like usual, and the principal had already started
giving instructions. I found my place in line and then was all ears. I couldn't help but look around
at all the others. Smiles were plastered on their faces as if they had heard a hilarious joke. Once the
principal concluded his speech, the whole senior class paraded down the hallway to the commons in
two uniform lines stopping just outside the gymnasium doors. We could hear the band warming up
and playing songs. All the people that were standing around me were bubbling

person to person. It is a stream of consciousness that is multiplied in this medium only because we
all have the same questions: Do I have time to go to the bathroom? When will this Asian fool shut
up? Who is this guy sitting next to me and why is he so ugly? The anxiety will not die. Capture the
anxiety in your mind as a visual aspect of tonight. Remember it.
Let the twitch in your ear awake your emotions. Listen carefully. It's the sound of a gloomy day.
What is usually a dismal tune is now replaced with the bittersweet melody of our graduation
ceremony under the clouds. Ask yourself, when was the last time you realized the song, instead of
the sight of a day? Capture the drizzle as an audio aspect of tonight. Remember it.

Essay about High School Graduation Day
High School Graduation Day
Many people have experienced the over whelming excitement that you feel as you approach high
school graduation day, and for me, that's a day that I will never forget. The amount of emotions
that you feel on graduation day is unbelievable, and I have yet to experience anything else like it.
I can remember feeling anxious to celebrate the big day with my friends and family, while at the
same time I was panicking thinking about having to walk across the stage in front of that many
people. Then, the more I thought about the reality of graduation day, I started to get curious, but
nervous, about being able to start a new chapter in my life once graduation day had passed. There
are several reasons why I, still...show more content...
As the end of the night approached us, I couldn't stop thinking about how many mixed emotions I
had about starting a whole new chapter in my life. I couldn't wait to go to college, meet all new
people, get a degree so that I could start my career path, but I knew that meant I had to say goodbye
to my two best friends, who were moving several hours away from me. This was one of the hardest
things I had ever had to do in my life. We all cried a little, and then made promises to keep in touch,
and then we were off into the real world! I was very happy to be at this point in my life, but I was
scared deep down inside.
When I look back on this day now, I still remember every detail as if it was yesterday. I was so
proud, and happy to be able to celebrate such an amazing day with all of my friends and family. I
know I will never forget how embarrassed I was walking across the stage in front of all of those
people, feeling famous after taking so many pictures, making our final memories together at our
graduation parties, and then being a nervous wreck when it was time to go out into the world
without my best friends at my side. High school graduation day was a very emotional day for me, but
it was by far the most exciting day I have ever experienced in my

Post Graduation Plan Essay
After High School what's next?
When I was a little girl my friends and I always talked about what we were going to be when we
grew up. Some said a teacher; others said a nurse, secretary, and even a mom. I knew what I was
going to be, but what we don't think about is how we get to be these things. We float through
elementary school, having small children fun. Next we go to middle school trying to find our ways
in the world, some of us worries about grades, and some don't. Not many thinking ahead of high
school, let alone college. In high school we soon realize that grades are very important and better
grades give you a better chance at better colleges. So those of us who want to go to college start
cramping down on our studies so we can get those desirable grades. I may have not been the perfect
student throughout high school. My Study habits could have been better, but one thing I do know is
that I want to do more with my life than just a high school diploma.
My thoughts go to what college should I go to? Which one is best? What can I afford? Do I stay
on campus or live at home? Maybe get a roommate and share an apartment I'm still not sure about
that. I want to take a course to become an Ultrasound Technician. Living here in Allentown, Pa a
few choices I have is McCann, and they offer a medical assisting course. I would apply for financial
aid and even have to get a student loan. Also there is Northampton Community College, not too far,
cost is somewhat more than McCann

Essay on Inspirational Graduation Speech
Ok, its 12:15 and I just walked into my house from seeing a movie with three of my best friends
and I have to write this speech. A speech that's suppose to inspire all of you, and tell you how the
future has so much to hold for the class of 2015, how the possibilities are endless. Right now I'm
probably standing in the front of the class and supposed to be addressing all of you as "fellow
graduates, or to the class of 15'". But that's not what I'm going to do. I put this off as I do with the
majority of my work thinking I would just write something everyone expects to hear, but instead I
wrote this.
I'm not going to tell you to go on and do well, become the doctors and lawyers and teachers of
tomorrow. This isn't a speech to tell you...show more content...
No one has the memories I have, they're mine. No one can tell the stories I've told or been where
I've been. Just me. But for you, it's exactly the same. I've never been perfect nor will I ever claim to
be, I just get by. But for me, that's what it's all about.
If you've asked me in the past if I'm nervous to move on, nervous to leave this place I most likely
put on a stern exterior, one of certainty and readiness. The truth is, I'm going to miss being here.
No matter how many times I wasn't in class, no matter how many fights I've been in with my
friends and family I will never, not for a moment look past this town. It's more than a town, it's
who we are. We're all going away in three months give or take, but a part of us will always be here.
If you ever hear someone mutter "jazzy" in a bar your going to think of Yags, you ever watch a
movie with any type of high school theme for the rest of your lives your going to be right back
here, forcing your way down the A wing in–between periods. Never forget where you came from,
and never take for granted what you have right now. For the next three months we're invincible! No
one can stop you! Get into trouble, go out have fun and be an eighteen year old! Stay a high school
student, not a lawyer in training. You can do whatever you want with yourselves in the future, but
don't worry about that right now. We've all gotten this far. Go out, have fun with your friends. Stuff
yourselves into that basement, or garage or

Graduation Essay Examples

  • 1. Descriptive Essay On Graduation Day Monday, May 16th, graduation day. It's 5:37 in the morning and I remember this cause I never wake up earlier than 8 unless I have to, but today I didn't have to. It's the day culminating twelve years of hard work and dedication into a three hour ceremony in which I will actually have to do something with my life other than a routine I believe I've perfected throughout these last four years. I roll over and pick up my phone, a dim light comes through a slit in my window shades just to remind me how early it actually is. I can't fall back asleep so I decide to get out of bed. I sit up on my bed rubbing my eyes trying to make sense of the room around me, I may have lived here for 18 years but I can never find the cord to my ceiling light. I...show more content... I however head toward the light that is just cresting the horizon. I continue walking not paying attention to where I'm going, I've walked it so many times that it just comes naturally. I finally get to where I'm going, a little pond only a few minutes away from my house. As I grab my lighter from my left pocket and my orange flavored Swisher Sweet from my right, I can not help but think of my friends and how much I will miss them. I lean on the railing as I light it and watch the smoke blend in with early morning mist rising from the water only a foot or so. I keep thinking about everyone I know and how all of my life is about to start changing. I hear little splashes from fish catching the bugs unlucky enough to have fallen in the water. Those bugs lives are completely over and I think mine could end up that way too. I feel the warmth of the fire start warming my finger telling my it's done. I flick the last bit out into the water and I hear a small splash. I tell myself, "It's okay to move on". I'm back at home in my shower, I've always rather enjoyed showers. I've never liked the rain or water or snow. But something about feeling water cascade down your body, warming you up as it goes really gets me. I listen as the song "Last Night" by G–Eazy ft. Kyle starts its slow build up. I've always liked to listen to music, whether it be the beat and instrumentals of a song, or the meaning of the lyrics, I've always had an appreciation for music. There's something about this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Career Plan After Graduation Essay My Career Plan after Graduation: How to manage my Professional and Holistic Lifestyle. I decided to pursue a career in nursing because, there is plenty of scarcity in the field and I feel like I can make a difference. I plan to focus most of my care in both acute and chronic setting. I will focus my career plan on the first and fifth year time frame. I will also touch up on different method I will use to illuminate my game plan when I do finish my Bachelor in Nursing. My Transition to Professional Nursing Role Professional nursing practitioners travel a long path to become experts in their field. Admission requirements into the BSN program vary from university to university but retain basic similarities. Universities and Colleges demand that the prospective student passes in English composition, life sciences, physical sciences, Mathematics, humanities, social, and behavioral sciences. Upon my admission, to Chamberlain College of Nursing it took me about two and half years of study to complete my pre–requisites. Typically, the course comprises studies in physiology, human anatomy, nursing care, nursing pharmacology, illness management and mental health nursing as the foundation units. Support units include research methods, leadership and management (of health services), critical thinking, decision–making and professional development. Criteria for RN in Florida BSN graduates apply for registration to the Florida Board of Nursing (BON). The state BON is the regulator and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Five Year Plan After Graduation Essay My Five Year Plan After Graduation Five years after graduation I plan to obtain a master's degree in law enforcement. Right now I'am really not sure what I really want to truly do for the rest of my life. The only thing I like doing is finding clues and figuring out the criminal in mystery books. I know that sense I like doing that, it leads me to desiring a position as a detective or something dealing with the FBI. Im thinking that its most likely that I will go to a university. If I do, I will go to the University of Phoenix. I'm attending the University of Phoenix for a few reasons but I'm ultimately going to the university to become a detective. I want to be successful and rich so I can have all the good things in life. I want...show more content... So I finally decided that I'd have to study my way out of a middle class family. I'm working hard in school because it's vital for my future. I need that education to accomplish all of the goals that I have set out for myself. Although, my truly main goal in life is really to become a detective. You will see why below. Police and detectives maintain law and order, collect evidence and information, and conduct investigations and surveillance. People depend on police officers and detectives to protect their lives and property. Law enforcement officers, some of whom are State or Federal special agents or inspectors, perform these duties in a variety of ways, depending on the size and type of their organization. In most jurisdictions, they are expected to exercise authority when necessary, whether on or off duty. Being a detective might be dangerous and stressful, but I'am willing to take that risk. I know that in addition to the obvious dangers of confrontations with criminals, officers need to be constantly alert and ready to deal appropriately with a number of other threatening situations. Many law enforcement officers witness death and suffering resulting from accidents and criminal behavior. A career in law enforcement may take a toll on officers' private lives. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, usually at least 20 years of age, and must meet rigorous physical Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Graduation Speech Essay examples It's hard to believe that we are actually sitting here in the auditorium for the last time as students of Kheradmand High. But we are! We made it through four years of high school. Now we are teetering on the edge of the rest of our lives, having to grow up and head out into the "real" world. That thought might scare some people, but we are ready. After all, if you decide that you don't want to be a part of the real world, maybe, you can always come back to Kheradmand High and maybe they will let you be a teacher. Remember the first day you stepped foot onto the Kheradmand High School campus, and how awestruck you were by the size of the seniors? Not only were they tall, they were enormous. I wonder if we had that same effect on the...show more content... How can you complain about being able to sleep in an extra hour each week? Those who never make it to class on time truly appreciated the free tardy. Our sophomore year inspired the anti–spamming rule. When people got in touch with one of the finer things in life by our spamming of a pep assembly, it led to the banning of one of the basic food groups. Sorry for all of you who love your Spam. Our junior year, the administration tried to appease us by not requiring us to do a Senior Exit Project. Perhaps they mistook us for the last class of the old century, instead of the first class of the new millennium. Or perhaps they had not yet recovered from Freshman Focus. In our senior year, the administration fought back. They forced us to sit through Planning Team for an hour each week. Were they trying to make people drop out? Well we survived! They also changed the Senior Lot to the Student Lot! But after the senior guys explained the importance of the Senior Lot tradition to the underclassmen, the underclassmen quickly realized that the street was a much safer place to park. Maybe we did inspire some of the same awe of the classes that preceded us. We ran the school like a senior class is supposed to. Now we are looking back trying to figure out just exactly what it is that we learned during our stay in the halls and classrooms of Kheradmand High. I am convinced that we have learned many worthwhile things that will serve us well Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Essay about Graduation: A Defining Moment Graduation is an exciting time in a person's life, especially a high school graduation. When I think of family and friends gathering together to celebrate a joyous occasion, I feel I accomplished my strongest goal. It never occurred to me that graduation would be the end of my youth and the start of adulthood. Graduating from high school was an influential event that gave me an altered outlook on my existence. Life before graduation, preparing for graduation day, and commencement day overwhelmed me for reality. Life before graduation was a struggle for me. I lived in a home that seemed to bring me nothing but pain and anger. I watched someone close to me die little by little every day. I did not live a normal childhood because I was a...show more content... I was working harder than ever to finish high school early and it had really paid off. I prepared and prepared but it wasn't enough to my surprise. Graduation was not that far away and actuality was about to strike me like a lightning bolt in the butt. The most significant practice of the year approached us seniors. The staff put us into groups to keep all the seniors in order. We all were divided into sections and labeled after letters and numbers. Soon after, all the senior class entered the auditorium in an orderly fashion. The practice had us recall memories of our freshmen to senior years. I saw a video that showed pictures of my youth to a young adult. I begin to think of the past and how much fun I had growing up. I also thought about how I would never see some of my friends again. After some time, the staff wanted us to practice walking across the stage. I did not quite understand why we needed to do this; I figured they wanted us to see how fast our life would flash in front of our eyes. At last, practice was over and I was able to go pick up my cap and gown. During this time, I thought about the next day and how it would be the end of another chapter in my years. Graduation day arrived and I had butterflies out of this world. It seemed as if I misplaced everything. I could not find my dress. My family came from one state to another. I finally got to the church were the commencement was going to be held. I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Graduation Essay Stepping upon a simple stage was the best thing I could have ever done. Overseeing the multitude that was there to witness my every word, every tremble, every emotion, and every heart beat, was then that I realized that the sentiment was real. It was essentially the end of time and I could not bear to hold back what I no intentions of doing. Cry. Tears of joy darted down my face as I walked across the stage and received my ultimate gift. With fancy inscription, my gift was entitled "Class of 2009". I had just graduated. "Ok seniors, everyone settle down and take your seat with your name on it". The principle conducted everyone as we prepared to get ready for our practice graduation walk. Amusement and volume suffocated the gym as...show more content... I could sense the stares glaring upon me as I switched positions every second in my chair. Two hours wasted out of my life before the orator called my name. With a shamble walk, insensible arms, and a tilted head I deliberated myself across the front of the gym and out the door. One of my classmates ran out the door and past me with glee assuring me that she would see me on Monday, the day of our graduation. Saturday and Sunday went by fast. Vowing that God had cut off at least twelve hours off my weekend, Monday morning arrived. I had to be at the coliseum at nine a.m. I woke up at eight thirty on the dot. With no essential worries and not a care in the world what I looked like, I merely jumped out of bed and put my graduation dress, cap, and gown on. In six minutes flat I was ready to go. I made it out my room and past the mirror wall right before I was about to leave. Looking at myself I knew I looked unacceptable, but my mind could not lead me to care. Right before I could make it out the door my mom vented her words of refutation. "Where do you think you are going? You did not bother to brush your hair, wash your face nor take a shower." Thinking quickly, I managed to use time as my excuse and scampered out the door to avoid any more questions. When I arrived at the coliseum, I was quite confused considering I did not listening to anything the principal had stated at practice graduation Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Graduation Speech : My Best Friend In the third grade, my teacher had my whole class create a time capsule that was to be opened on the day of our high school graduation. We filled it with letters and memories of our closest friends. My best friend, Sofia, and I had grown extremely close within the first month of school; we were inseparable. We managed to remain friends throughout the remainder of our elementary, middle, and now high school years. To say that we have remained really close this entire time would be stretching the truth. We were raised in extremely different household environments. For starters, she was raised by a single mother and is youngest of eight siblings. I, on the other hand, only have one older sibling. That being said, she was used to a large and chaotic environment; whereas, I was more familiar with a calmer and smaller family of four; however, we still possessed similar interests. Because we shared the love of dancing, we were in our middle school dance team and continued on our journey of dance into our high school years up until our sophomore year when we opted not to try out for the dance team for different reasons; it was the events that followed that forced us to venture out into our different paths. She had gotten her first job at a fast food restaurant where she quickly rearranged her priorities when she became easily influenced by some of her coworkers. Every landmark in our lives will end but there is always a beginning to an end. As each new path ends a new one begins. Graduation marks the end of a path but as it ends a new path begins. Life is an adventure. We started out by walking on a winding path as we entered the destination of kindergarten. As the paved path merged, we found ourselves no longer walking, but driving in cars on the highway in high school. Life started to get more challenging and things started to move at a faster pace. In this part of our lives we got to choose which way we wanted to go, left or right. We found hardships up the steep hills and we might have stopped at many intersections. However, we always proceeded with the flow of traffic no matter what obstacle gets in our way, we always managed to get through it. As our lives traveled on the highway, we saw others take different roads along our journey, but we always found ourselves choosing to keep with our commitment of continuing. We all had to make pit stops along the way through homework and projects, but it fueled us to get stronger and helped us gain knowledge to make it up those steep hills and intersections. Finally, when graduation comes, the highway ends and merges to a new beginning as we leave our memories in the past in our rearview mirror. Miles and miles of opportunities await us. However, each one of us has a different goal or route in life, and each of us will find different exits along the way to fulfill our dream. Some of us will take the express lanes and continue our education through college. Some of us might follow the freeway not knowing where fate will take us. Life isn't always easy on the freeway. • 9. Essay about 8th grade graduation speech My fellow classmen, as we look back on our years here at school we should remember the meaningful words of a fellow class member of mine when she said, "Dude, where's my iPod?" It's hard for me to think of a better way to describe the many layers of adolescence, because deep down aren?t we all "dudes?" Do we not all have our inner "iPods", and are we not constantly searching for them? Now, we're leaving our childhood behind to study the vast sphere we call planet Earth, into the notorious world of high school, where things will be so much different. Of course we will still have our varied studies, Geometry, Biology, maybe even Forensics or an Accelerated English class here and there. We will still struggle with the daily setbacks formed by...show more content... Sixth grade was the year we indulged our childish impulses. We played at recess (now only ten minutes long) swinging tetherballs and jumping off of slides (sorry Ms. C). It was our first step into the harsh jungle of No. 2 pencils, algebra, and dare I say it?.upper class eighth graders. Once again, we were at the bottom of the barrel. Let's get a show of hands. Who here remembers John Smith? Yeah those were the days. Seventh grade was a year of transition, (kind of a metamorphosis) a steady evolution from young girls racing after Paul Stevenson to the more mature 2.0 version that comes from a daily diet of Fall Out Boy and Ludacris. Ah, yes, seventh grade was a year of routy students, computer privileges, and then?..the taking away of computer privileges. It?s a shame how much one little video and a few dumb seventh grade girls can do. Everyone knows the friends you make in eighth grade last a lifetime, and are we any exception? Look around you, my classmates. As we have learned, these are the faces that will be with us forever, even after they start driving or shaving. These lasting bonds come from pulling those all–nighters before the big quadratic–equation exam (chapter ten I believe) and the grueling square dancing Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Graduation Day Essay For most people their graduation day is one of the best days of their lives. No more high school, and for some it means that they are now able to move out on their own and embark on the independent journey of college. In my case my graduation day started out to be a great day but turned out to be one of the worst. It is almost as if I wish I never had a ceremony. If there wasn't graduation ceremony there wouldn't have been an accident. On June 13, 2011, I woke up a happy and excited 17 year old for it was my graduation day and that meant no more high school, no more nagging teachers, and no more drama. I met my friends and my boyfriend Andrew in the school parking lot and away we went to practice graduation. After we had practiced...show more content... After we had walked out and took our seats I couldn't help but to stare at the empty seat next to me and wonder where he was at. I called his house but no one picked up. After calling a repeated amount of times his friend Ryan was able to get through to his parents. His parents had told Ryan that there was an accident and after we graduate they will tell us where Andrew is at. As soon as Ryan got off the phone he told me not to worry and that he probably broke his leg or something and that he was in a hospital somewhere and that we will know where after we get our diplomas. After a couple of speeches and a few diplomas later it was almost my row's turn to walk across the stage and claim our diplomas. Right before we were to stand up and walk toward the stage I got the worst news of my life. I got a call from Andrews frantic older brother. He asked if I had walked yet I told him no and demanded to know where Andrew was. After a few minutes of heavy breaths I heard the words, " Jenn, Andrews.... Andrews dead." The words echoed in my ears. I dropped my phone and just sat there. I couldn't move, speak or even cry, I just sat there and stared. After a few minutes I guess you could say it hit me. The tears came rolling off my face. Advisors and school employees' ran to me Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Graduation Memoir Graduation memoir Senior year! Every senior is eager for graduation, their making college decisions, taking their SAT tests, getting senior portraits, and looking forward to getting ready for graduation day. Thinking back now, almost every adult told me my high school years would fly by, they were right. I remember being an anxious eighth grader thinking about starting my freshman year of high school. We went from being at the top of the school to being at the bottom of a new one. All of our middle school teachers always told us about how our high school teachers wont "hold our hands" and how we will be on our own. Being in high school is completely different than being in elementary school and middle school. Its almost like each year we have more and more freedom but more responsibility. Sophomore year was when it got more difficult for me, I've always had anxiety, but...show more content... I waited anxiously for my name to be called; with my last name starting with a W I was pretty much at the end. I walked up and across the stage, shook their hand as I received my diploma and smiled for a picture. As I walked back to my seat I feel my eyes start to water because I felt so proud of myself that I made it to this point after years of hard work. I look around once I'm seated and see how happy everyone is. Next year everyone will be going their separate ways, starting college and making new friends. The ceremony ends with a bunch of smiles, some tears and caps being thrown up in the air while everyone is clapping for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Graduation Speech : My Learning Experience My learning experience in this course This course has taught me some valuable lessons of intellectual capital (IC) and the benefits my organization has received from it over the years. For instance, in my department, my co–workers have given the organization great praise for the training and the wealth of knowledge they have gained from the many educational classes HR have conducted. I further learn that IC in every cross section of my organization has increased the retention of employees. Anotherlearning experience that I gain from IC is the increase level of every employee's skill and their capability of solving or providing solution to customer's problem. I further understand that in order for my organization to achieve long lasting change, leaders embrace a commitment to learning for not just themselves, but also the organizations. They have made significant strides in establishing a philosophy that further individual development through the institutional, experiential, and personal development constructs. This philosophy has influenced individual development from the early stages of their career to retirement; because, the organization realize that additional benefits further develop a philosophy of long–term learning for the organizations. For example, Senge recognizes the linkage of individual and organizational development in his statement, "Individual learning does not guarantee organizational learning. • 14. Graduation Speech Essay Well, this is it, the day all of us have been waiting for has finally arrived. It seems like only yesterday we were picking our noses and flicking them at innocent bystanders or yelling childish phrases like, "Liar, liar, pants on fire!" or, wait, that was yesterday. Never mind. Anyways. What I'm trying to say is the years, have flown by and it's not going to be long before we're in the stands watching our kids graduate. You know, there is a lot more to graduating than leaving Rufus and getting a diploma. It's more than that. I mean, why do you think we get to wear these cool robes? We have just barely begun the trip on the roller coaster of life and already it seems like we've had quite a ride. Some of us will go on to college, some will enter into the work force, and most of us are still undecided. But whichever path we take, it won't be easy and believe me, a year or two from now you're gonna wish you were back at good old LHS because the term "9 to 5" is going to take on a whole new meaning, and I'll tell you right now it ain't gonna be pretty folks. Our graduation is our coming of age, our right of passage. As we walk across this stage we are writing the closing pages to our Chapter I and heading into the great unknown. It's kinda scary –– but hey, don't you cry, even thoughhigh school is over, the times we've shared and the friends we've made will never be lost. The clock is ticking, time is fleeting and nobody lives forever. But true friendship is something we can count on never dying. Think with me for a minute about the process we have gone through which has gathered us here today. Our stories of these past years are not much different. Whether you went to a community college, transferred here from another four–year school or started your freshman year in the dorms near the entrance of this campus, we are finally finishing together. I asked his mom where Tony was and she proceeded to tell me that he was in the bathroom getting ready. I tapped on the door and walked in. He was standing in front of the mirror with his cap and gown on. He look me straight in the eyes and said," Can you believe that we are about to graduate?" I replied," No, it really hasn't set in yet." Tony finished getting ready, and then we left for the high school. The parking lot was filled with all the other seniors' cars. Tony and I walked into the library ten minutes late like usual, and the principal had already started giving instructions. I found my place in line and then was all ears. There are those who are already pondering about what life without high school will be like; those who are debating whether or not to tell your crush tonight about your whispers of adoration you've secretly held for four years; some simply want to get out of that ungodly chair, get that thing that isn't really a diploma but only tells you when to pick up the thing, and then be the first one on the green bus to the grad party – you know who you are. Enjoy the sights and sounds of today, right now; and be aware of the mindfulness opening your senses and releasing your inhibitions can summon. Feel the tingle on your eyes; it is trying to tell you something so pay attention to it. Look, do you see it? That's anxiety, a thick and pulsating anxiety that is flowing through the air right now from person to person. It is a stream of consciousness that is multiplied in this medium only because we all have the same questions: Do I have time to go to the bathroom? When will this Asian fool shut up? Who is this guy sitting next to me and why is he so ugly? The anxiety will not die. Capture the anxiety in your mind as a visual aspect of tonight. Remember it. Let the twitch in your ear awake your emotions. Listen carefully. It's the sound of a gloomy day. What is usually a dismal tune is now replaced with the bittersweet melody of our graduation ceremony under the clouds.
