My Vision for the Future of Science and Technology
If our ancestors from the days of yore could see some of today's innovations, they would proclaim
them to be magic. The Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders exposed me to such
innovations and, in the process, to much of the STEM field. I now have a deeper understanding of
a broad range of recent scientific and technological advances, and the challenges and opportunities
they create. As a result, I have an idea of where I might someday fit into the research field.
The speakers at the congress placed the majority of their focuses on health, technological innovation,
and astrophysics. On the subject of health I learned, among other things, about the detection and
treatment of cancer, and different means by which technology aids human health. Several speakers
have made significant contributions toward the effort to eradicate cancer. Nineteen–year–old Jack
Andraka created a method of detecting cancer that costs just $0.03, and Robert Langer, an
award–winning chemist, invented nanospheres capable of distributing medications made up of
macromolecules. Neither development was begotten with ease, however. When questioned, Langer
said, "I believed in my ideas and I guess that's how I got through it." Rana el Kaliouby utilizes
technology to help people. Her company, Affectiva, created software able to detect the emotions in
one's facial expressions. They plan to incorporate themselves into Google Glass in order to assist

The Future Of Politics?
THE FUTURE OF POLITICS? IT'S DOWN TO US
Politics. Where to begin? I've never studied it or anything (I'm more of an International Relations
type of girl) but I think it's important. For me, it's about more than voting at the ballot box, debates in
the House of Commons and making fashionable complaints about politicians etc. It's about what
happens in between that can affect our day–to–day living, from the civil servants who work
tirelessly to put laws into effect to the constituency office caseworkers who deal with mountains of
requests each day to ensure each person is valued. Above all, ever since participating in the
National Citizen Service programme, I particularly love seeing the power of social action being
used effectively to change lives for the better, by bringing people together and at times even
influencing decision–making at the top.
I feel that it's vital for the younger generation to play a part in how the country is run because, after
all, it goes without saying that each iteration of government has an impact on the future that we are
going to inherit. Why are we being set up to shoulder economic and environmental burdens we had
no role in creating? Tuition fees? Fracking anyone? Makes it all the more worrying that there seem
to be so many structural and psychological barriers that stop young people from getting involved
and these need to be addressed.
This was my inspiration for building a digital platform to redefine youth political engagement:
Politicks.

Essay about The Future of Mankind
The Future of Mankind
If we compare the present with the past, if we trace events at all epochs to their causes, if we
examine the elements of human growth, we find that Nature has raised us to what we are, not by
fixed laws, but by provisional expedients, and that the principle which in one age effected the
advancement of a nation, in the next age retarded the mental movement, or even destroyed it
altogether. War, despotism, slavery, and superstition are now injurious to the progress of Europe,
but they were once the agents by which progress was produced. By means of war the animated life
was slowly raised upward in the scale, and quadrupeds passed into man. By means of war the human
intelligence was brightened, and the affections...show more content...
But the Crimean War was injurious to civilisation; it retarded a useful and inevitable event. Turkey
will some day be covered with corn–fields; Constantinople will some day be a manufacturing town;
but a generation has been lost. Statesmen and journalists will learn in time that whatever is
conquered for civilisation is conquered for all. To preserve the Balance of Power was an
excellent policy in the Middle Ages, when war was the only pursuit of a gentleman, and when
conquest was the only ambition of kings. It is now suited only for the highlands of Abyssinia. The
jealousy with which 'true Britons' regard the Russian success in Central Asia is surely a very
miserable feeling. That a vast region of the earth should be opened, that robbery and rapine and
slave–making raids should be suppressed, that waste–lands should be cultivated, that new stores of
wealth should be discovered, that new markets should be established for the products of European
industry, our own among the rest, that Russia should adjoin England in Asia as she adjoins Germany
in Europe––what a lamentable occurrence, what an ominous event! In Central Africa it often
happens that between two barbarous. and distrustful nations there is a wide neutral ground, inhabited
by wild beasts, which prey upon the flocks and herds on either side. Such is the policy which
maintains the existence of barbarous kingdoms between two civilised frontiers.

My Future Essay
My future is something I often think about. Most often, the questions that arise include the
common doubts of "Am I doing this right?", or even the occasional midnight philosophical
questions such as "Why are we here?", and so on. For the purpose of this essay, I will focus on the
factors that have allowed me to reach this point in my life and how these factors influenced and
continue to influence me, in order to provide me with a visualization of my future.
Factors that contributed to my current life choices include the desperate want to be something
greater, as well as to experience the world in ways some could only dream of. I study hard,
allowing for me to have the possibility of an early graduation. I dream big, allowing me with the
imagination to draw up plans for myself and my future. I work hard, allowing me the strength and
vision to execute my plans for the future. The way that I was raised has greatly benefited me. My
parents have taught me that anything and everything is possible as long as you work hard for it
despite the what others may tell you or even if the odds are against you. Another factor that led to
my current life, is the amount of time I allow myself to think about my plans and refine them. This is
extremely important because, without a solid, flexible, long–term plan, you could get lost in
dreaming about the future, and end up not accomplishing anything. Hence, many aspects of my life
have been planned out with not one or two possible alternatives

Essay on My Vision of Tomorrow
My Vision of Tomorrow
Tomorrow's world will be much different and also, much better in many ways. We will have
developed much better technology. We will have made huge medical advancements. The general
quality of life will be much better, and living will also have become much easier. Still, nothing can
ever be perfect, and in a world of the future, we will experience many complex and unavoidable
problems such as depletion of resources, overpopulation, and the threat of nuclear and biological
warfare. The solutions to these dilemmas will not be immediately apparent; but, we will have to
overcome them. The future could hold great opportunities for many people, but we will need to
work at it.
In the future, technology will have...show more content...
Things that doctors cannot even comprehend today will become clear to us in the not so distant
future. Everyone will also be living longer due to the knowledge of more remedies and of enhanced
wellness.
People will also be much different in the future. They will become more separate from each other
(linked only by computer and telephone). They will become even more materialistic and our
society will move closer and closer to complete capitalism. Rules and laws will also be much
stricter and the kind of crime that is commonly seen today will become rare in the future.
The days to come will not be without problems and stress though. To overcome problems like waste
disposal, depleted natural resources, world nuclear and biological warfare, and global warming will
be no easy task. Everyone around the world will have to join together and help each other to solve
problems that will eventually effect all of us. One of the biggest problems that we will have to deal
with is the deterioration of the average family and its values. If the human race cannot get out of the
hole that is has dug, everyone in it will be doomed to extinction.
So, to sum it up, the future can and will most likely be great, but to achieve this greatness, humans
will have to make some personal sacrifices and they will have to face many hardships. For now, we
can look forward to the world of

Future Research
My newly developed techniques and latest findings direct me for further innovative studies in the
emerging field of environmental sciences towards conservation, detect environmental controlling
parameters, biological function of living organisms and their interaction to the environment, and
develop new technologies to protect the environment and public health. My challenge is to get a
more complete picture of these issues in the near future which could help to resolve the problems of
global climate change and use the CO2 and other greenhouse gases for beneficial purposes as a
potential natural resources.
In the short term, I will continue working on several problems of my current research, including (1)

First, reduction of GHG, carbon capture and sequestration. Reduction of GHG is one of the most
challenging tasks currently facing by the world scientists. Although a minor reduction process has
been succeeded but they were used synthetic chemicals, which are in fact not good for environment.
In consideration of this realism for protecting the future, my research will be focused to reduce GHG
by developing new technologies on the biological mechanisms and without using any chemicals
(Fig. –––). As I mentioned above (patent pending), I have already succeeded to reduce GHG up to
12%. In this long term project, I have targeted to clean the air 100% by reducing the harmful
anthropogenic GHG as necessary. In this aspect, Carbon capture and sequestration is a very potent
technique. Following this approach, carbon dioxide or other forms of carbon will be processed for a
long–term storage. This process will be focused to capture CO2 by mimicking nature's process for
hardening tissues in living organisms. This is a similar biological process of corals and other
calcifying organisms (ref––). However, here I would use a newly discovered group of microbes
(described in the patent). In this technique, CO2 will be used as a potential beneficial material to
produce highly useful products such as beneficial mineral for human health (fig––). In addition,
some natural material (following the patent Aqua–NOF–GHG with some modification) will be used
on carbon capture in

What the world needs now is for the parents of today's children to step up and teach their children
to be respectful, caring, and compassionate children, which will one day turn into adults. One of
the problems is the laws on child abuse and the way children are raised today, compared the way
children are raised today to thirty years ago or even before that, is not the same. Kids today have
little or no respect for their elders, teachers, or even law enforcement. I would have never talked to
any adult the way some of these children today talk to the adults in their life's. These are the same
children that are our future. Part...show more content...
This is causing the children of today our future of tomorrow to run rapid, so as our children are
becoming young adults, they need to learn to be respectful and courteous to the adults and the
world around them. Which is a hard thing for parents to install in their children these days, due to
once they go off to school they are faced with many hard decisions in which they need to make
without the help or guidance of their parents. Yes when we were their age we had to face the same,
but it was different back then children just knew if they did wrong their parents would find out and
they'd be grounded or get the belt. While children now days know that the worst thing that can
happen to them is they might get grounded. In the research I have found most people including most
children agree that spanking is ok if it is used as discipline and not just because you enjoy hitting
your children. Some children even believe that children who don't get spanked have less respect for
their parents and other adults in the long wrong. Many generations used corporal punishment as
discipline tool, not as abuse and the majority of those people grew up as happy productive adults.
Some even believe that yelling or not punishing children cause more damage and we all know that
grounding children don't work due to they always have some reason to be out of the house either
school or after school

Persuasive Essay About The Future
What are you going to be when you grow up? The go–to inquiry of almost every adult in a child's
life. It is asked almost in a whimsical way in the first few years; often met with innocently
ambitious responses such as an astronaut or a deep sea diver. With most kids, myself included,
the answer changed several times throughout grade school. My starry eyed dreams of becoming an
archeologist soon shifted to architect, and then to wilderness firefighter, then soldier, policeman,
engineer, and so on. I could be anything i could dream up in this world and i had forever to
decide. However, there comes a point in every teenager's life where the question of the future starts
to scare you. This distant future is now becoming a very real thing that needs to be figured out and
planned, because it's almost time to make that next step. I've always heard it said that high school
will be the quickest four years of your life. I had no idea just how fast until it was time for me to
start preparing for the real world. Over the past two years, i've really done some "soul searching"
so to speak, and I believe that i've found out what i'm going to do for the rest of my life. Now i
know that whatever teacher got selected to read through the stacks of senior essays that contained
my piece is probably laughing at that last bit. If only i knew right? But just hear me out. My goal is
to become a pilot for the United States Marine Corps. From a very young age, the idea of flight has
fascinated me.

Essay about The Future Classroom
When we look at our society today, there is no doubt that our education system is undergoing another
revolution. Technology has advanced to the point where it has made information widely accessible,
and its convenience has established new means of independent learning. Students are able to learn
from a seamlessly infinite resource, and now schools face a competitor in the distribution of
knowledge. Now as schools attempt to integrate technology into the school environment, there are
challenges in defining the next generation of classrooms. Through our Alternate Worlds class, we
have attempted to integrate technology into the class with both success and disappointment.
However, though technology provides a great resource for education,...show more content...
Like a future classroom our class embraces technology as a tool for education. Through websites,
blogs, and streaming online media, our class takes all forms except the traditional lecture style.
Another way in which this class is an example of a future classroom is in the way we communicate.
Through forums, chat boxes and emails, our class communicates through instant mediums instead of
face–to–face contact. One final way in which this class is a model for future classrooms is in the
responsibility that students have for their own education. Students in our class make their own
schedule to keep up in class and are bounded by a loose schedule. Students are given flexibility in
where and when they want to work, which is different from traditional classrooms that meet on strict
schedules.
Though our online class exemplifies many characteristics of a future classroom, our class stays
traditional in several ways. One similarity between our classroom and a traditional classroom is
that students still hold the responsibility for submitting in work to be graded. Students still need to
be assessed on whether or not they are keeping on task with readings, and so assignments and
projects are still used like in traditional education settings. Our class is also similar to traditional
classes in which there is a professor who takes part in ensuring that we stay actively on schedule

The Future In Technology Essay
Can you imagine a machine so big it dwarfs entire planets? Can you imagine a machine with a

thought? Can you imagine a machine so complex that no human has ever even tried to understand it,
and yet the machine exists because humans built it in the first place?
A machine consisting of entire worlds, entire ecosystems powered by chemicals and energy
regulated by computers that build and program themselves. Imagine these worlds connected by
transport and communications systems, always kept up to date automatically, and modified as
needed by the people who live in these habitats. Can you imagine a machine that makes money

a single human. Do you want a desert environment, with light rains in the mornings, or do you want
an ocean world, with crystal living quarters twenty miles under water that glows in the dark?
Whatever you want, this machine will design it for you, creating new technology and materials
where necessary if necessary.
Can you imagine how many needs a trillion humans have each day, how many needs this machine is
forced to fulfill simply because its programmed to? Can you imagine the strain this machine is

Essay On The Future Of The Energy Industry
What is the future of the energy industry in Canada? A big uncertainty that arises for the energy
industry in Canada surrounds the new U.S. administration. According to National Resources
Canada, Canada currently exports 99% of its oil and gas to the U.S. (2017a). If Trump were to
revise the current NAFTA agreement, and impose a tax on imports to the U.S. from Canada, it
could result in Canada losing a major partner, and cause the economy to take a hit. As mentioned,
President Trump is in support of the Keystone XL pipeline, however, that then also comes under
scrutiny for how much of the profit would Trump expect. As of November 2017, the Keystone XL
pipeline is approved, but on an alternative route, and it still faces challenges. If...show more content...
However, emissions "per barrel of oil produced in the oil sands have fallen over 35% since 1990,"
(Government of Canada, 2017a). It is good that Canada is taking steps to reduce their carbon
footprint, but the future of Canada as a member of the Paris Agreement is uncertain if Canada does
not take more tangible steps to reduce the production and emission of greenhouse gases. What is
Suncor's Future? Based on the challenges identified, and the way that Suncor approaches these
challenges, the future looks bright for Suncor. As the case study points out, water use is an
environmental issue that requires careful management (Vietor, 2016, p.7). The major oil producing
companies were taking measures to reduce the amount of fresh water they were withdrawing from
the Athabasca River, and the Canadian government had restricted withdrawals to 5.2% of the river's
median flow (Vietor, 2016, p.7). In 2015, Suncor more than exceeded their goal of reducing their
water usage. The government regulated that they could use "59.8 million cubic meters annually,"
however, their 2014 usage was only "18.65 million cubic meters," (Vietor, 2016 p.12). This
demonstrates that Suncor is on track to meet national demands and constraints placed on the energy
industry. As they are ahead of the game in this regard, they set precedence for other oil and gas
companies in the industry, and this action encourages them to reduce their own water consumption
in the future. As Suncor has already achieved

My Future Essay
Every since I was a young girl I have been always asked by, what do you wanna be when you grow
up? I know some people that change their minds every week of what their future hold for them and
how they are gonna live through it. The future is changing every second of our lives, everything
single thing that we do affects what our future hold for us. All my life I have been determined on
one thing in my life. I have always wanted to become a doctor no matter what. I know that there is
nothing that is gonna change my mind about that. Technology has helped many people with what
they do at their job, however it has also harmed their jobs also. All my life I have been in and out of
hospitals. Every since I was born I had some problems that I had to face. Thanks to all the doctors
that were there for me, that helped me become the girl that stands today, I get to live my life in
peace. I had told myself from that day forward that I was gonna become a doctor or a nurse and help
as many people as I can. I have always loved to help people in need. I hope that one day that I can
save someone's life as someone saved mine.If I had to pick one role model that I looked up to ,I
couldn't. That is because I admire and idolize every single nurse and doctor there is in this world
that help keep people alive and safe every single day.

The Future of Education
As teachers our primary concern should be the students and what type of learning environment will
be best suited to meet their needs. There are many different opinions as top what the most effective
or appropriate curriculum is for the students. I do not believe there is any one philosophy that can
provide the ideal curriculum for each and every student. Just as there are numerous methods of
teaching, there are also numerous ways to learn. It is essential that we keep this in mind as we help
the students achieve their goals and discover their talents. Above all we must encourage the students
to try new things and do what we can to prevent limiting them in any way.

I think that many of the schools today merely try to prepare the students to move on to college and
by doing so exclude the students who are gifted with other abilities that are equally important and
useful in society, even though those talents may not necessarily be something that can be refined
through a traditional four year college.
As a future teacher, I very strongly believe that students need to be shown practical applications of
the concepts they are taught. For myself this is especially notable in mathematical applications. As
teachers we need to not just show how to work through a problem: we need to show why it works
and what it is useful for. Without something to apply the information to math is nothing more than a
stream of numbers and formulas that students memorize for a specific test and then quickly forget.
By demonstrating specific examples of applications the students will be able to retain some of the
information easier and then adapt what they learn to other problems they encounter in the future.
Upon graduation I hope to begin teaching Math at the middle school or high school level.
Geometry, Trigonometry, and Algebra would be my first choices of classes I would like to teach,
but I feel I would enjoy teaching any of the other forms of math. I would prefer to teach in a rural
area since that is the

My Future Plans For The Future
Imagine the perfect life, the perfect family, dream house, dream car, and the perfect career. That's
what I hope someday my life will be like. Everyone has a future plan, to make the best out of our
life, what is your plan? My future plan is to be a pediatrician. I would like to help the children of
the future. They are the next generation and I would like to leave a legacy for them to follow. I
want to help save and make a child happy someday. The thought of making a difference in
someone's life is the reason I can go to sleep peacefully. We all have a purpose for being here and I
my purpose is to save one of us, my purpose is to help the ones in need, the ones in the street
begging for somewhere to live, the ones dying of poverty. However, right now in the 21st century
technology has taken over the world, not figuratively but literally. It made the world, both a bad
and good place. People are going to run out of jobs and tech will run the world. Technology will
be the greatest invention of human kind but how will it affect some of us? First to begin with,
Technology is part of our everyday lives. Every nook, every corner we turn there is someone with
technology. In doing research it says technology is advancing so fast that it will be a thousand times

flourishing with technology every day, in our house there is at least 10 different items that are

Essay On The Future In The Great Gatsby
"The orgastic future [...] year by year recedes before us" and the past consumes us with its
"moments of hope and promise and wonder" (Fitzgerald 180; Parr 76). To be human is to be
unfulfilled and to long for the unreachable, but such aspirations often prevent one from fully living
in the present. In F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel, The Great Gatsby, an obsession with the
inaccessible past characterizes the lives of many of those inhabiting a "universe of ineffable
gaudiness" (Fitzgerald 99). Using a motif of water, Fitzgerald traces character Jay Gatsby's
relationship with the past, to reveal that those who reside in an acquisitive world and try to escape
the past will remain there if they mistake it for a viable future. In the short term, they often recognize
and attempt to overcome the shortcomings of their past lives. Should they confuse the past with the
future, however, they will cease to make progress on their temporal voyage into the future.
Ultimately, these individuals will come to believe in their capability of living in the past, becoming
so delusional that they actually end up lingering there forever.
Initially, Gatsby's actions on Lake Superior highlight both his assertion of control over his life and
his endeavor to escape his roots. When a young James Gatz, lounging on the sandy beach of Lake
Superior, witnesses Dan Cody's yacht "drop anchor," he "borrow[s] a row–boat" and "pull[s] out" to
the yacht, "inform[ing]" Cody of an imminent storm (Fitzgerald 98).

How Will Our Future Be? Essay
How Will Our Future Be?
The way the future is heading seems to be very clear but as before things may change. The time to
come will never reveal itself until it has actually been.
From this point of view I will try to describe the way I see the future coming our way.
One of the major aspects when discussing the future is how will the law be handled and how power
will be dealt with. Will we be able to decide for us self what we want to do with our lives and will
the right of every individual be respected, as written in the constitution. There is no way I could be

possible to both look at your colleague in the video–chatter and at the same time write in the word–

Essay on Future Of Television
The Future of Television
Hello, and welcome to the wonderful world of time travel. Technology is a growing part of our
society today, and it is going to be very important part of our future. I am going to show you what
technology is doing for television from now, into the next century. Sit back, relax, and buckle up as
we embark on our journey through time.
To start off, HDTV(high definition television) is what we have to look forward to in the next three to
five years. Now, you are probably asking yourself what is HDTV? HDTV is an all–digital TV
broadcast signal that delivers high–resolution, wide–screen picture, and six channels of digital
sound. Though computer experts and scientists are working on a...show more content...
First, the screens are much wider and more flat. In addition to the obvious weight and and size of
the picture, the resolution and luminance of a flat panel display are uniform over its entire surface;
cathode–ray tubes and projectors are what we have now. They tend to lose resolution and luminance
at their corners and edges. Flat panels are generally better–looking, more efficient, and uses less
power(Mitchell 48).
As of now, we are in the computer age. Computers are involved in almost every aspect of our
lives. Just face it, they are everywhere we go. By the year 2002, computers and TV will be
integrated. You can surf the web, talk to a buddy from Chicago, and watch a news cast from
Ontario through the Internet. There will be live digital feeds going from your phone line to your
HDTV. If you are tired of watching the NBA, you can find a website and watch a televised
basketball game as far away as Egypt (Zwirn Interview). Just imagine playing one of those action
thriller computer games on your giant big screen HDTV.
Now, as we time travel even further into the future to the year 2006, the number of HDTVs will
be outrageous. Every single TV out there will be all digital. There will be as many HDTVs there,
as there are TVs now in our present time. "The numbers will increase by the second

In the novel the three main characters are Manny, George, and the girl he likes, Miss Leache. In the

each other because they depend on each other. The anti–agent in the novel is Dr. Habor, and in the
movie the anti–agent is Agent Smith. These anti–agents try and distract the main characters, either
Neo or George, with what they are trying to achieve. They make the main characters lives more
challenging. Other than the fact that The Matrix is a movie and The Lathe of Heaven is a book,
there are aspects which are different between the two works. For instance, in The Matrix there are
only two worlds. These worlds are the matrix and the real world. Not too many people know about
the real world because they are stuck in the matrix. In the movie these two worlds stay consistent.
The matrix is always the computer system where people have the same day to day routines, and the
real world is always destroyed and run by machines. On the other hand, in the novel there are
always new worlds. The characters never go back to a world which they have already lived in.
Every time George dreams, a new world is created. These worlds are unknown until he wakes up

passion, and hope. In this hopeful world, our expectations have grown. We have anticipation about
the future that we are going to have, and in all honesty, many do not have hope that we will have a
better future, but that doesn't mean we can't try. We all aspire to be the best we can and I believe
that with the ambition we have, we can move forward and better our world and each other. Though
times currently seem to be awful, we are living in one of the best times ever. Technology is ruling
the world, and the way we choose to use it is deciding what will come next. Not only that, but we
are now living in a time where equality and acceptance are pretty much everywhere. I believe that in
the future, it's not going to matter what makes us different. Lastly, I just want to point out that we
are still building and shaping our world and lives. We are learning from our many mistakes and
fixing them. "America, land of the free and home of the brave..", but also home of the hopeful.
First and foremost, technology has been flourishing all around us. As a society we are coming up
with new inventions that are boosting our economy. In the future, we may even get the things we
have all wished for, such as flying cars or a teleportation device. Our imaginations are endless and
our hard work exceeds all. Technology, is like stated before, ruling the world and it's making
everyday events so much easier. Look to the future and together we can have a great life in our
country. With today's technology, we are doing things that could never happen before, such as
producing renewable energy, having electronics that we can use to have conversations over amazing
distances, and with the technology we have, we are solving so many medical and historical
problems. What a great time to be alive!
To continue, equality and acceptance are everywhere! We have become so accepting of people
over these last few years from women equality to people's sexual interest. If you were to ask
someone, they would probably say we've done something so

Essay about Future of Sport
Some sports will remain unchanged and virtually untouched by technology, the American style
football for example has proven over time it is very resistant technology.6 By the time 2020 arrives
it is presumed that many sports will willingly allow technology to become an even greater part of
their sport culture. Problem calls will become a thing of the past in those sports the sport of football
will continue to have their human umpires running around attempting to keep up with all 22 players
at one time.6 While these issues may continue in this sport not all sports will be so closed minded to
the ideas of the technological and automation advances that will be occuring. In one–way or another
every company and sport association will be a...show more content...

More sporting events will be captured with the ever–evolving 3D technology. Spectators are sure to
continue attending event due to the 2020 style arenas, which will no doubt be state of the art. The
viewers at home with the right technology will enjoy sporting events just as much if not even more
so than the actual attendees. The new technology will allow the home viewer to zoom in and out,
and even change their viewpoint all while pulling live up to date data of the event, the athletes and
fellow fans.6 Some stadiums will offer experiences which can only be received by attending and
surely provide rewarding experiences for the attending fans of the event, home viewers however are
sure to enjoy their own flexible, interactive environments.
Advertising during sporting events is sure to more impactful and more individualized as well. Fans
of sporting events are sure to enjoy personal viewing experiences which will be provided by the
ultra–thin OLEDs4 they are provided for their personal viewing pleasure in the stadiums. This
technology will allow the fans to view their desired views, replays, menus and team status updates
as they use almost any surface as their screen and enjoy the touch technology it will provide.4 These

Essay On The Future

  • 1. My Vision for the Future of Science and Technology If our ancestors from the days of yore could see some of today's innovations, they would proclaim them to be magic. The Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders exposed me to such innovations and, in the process, to much of the STEM field. I now have a deeper understanding of a broad range of recent scientific and technological advances, and the challenges and opportunities they create. As a result, I have an idea of where I might someday fit into the research field. The speakers at the congress placed the majority of their focuses on health, technological innovation, and astrophysics. On the subject of health I learned, among other things, about the detection and treatment of cancer, and different means by which technology aids human health. Several speakers have made significant contributions toward the effort to eradicate cancer. Nineteen–year–old Jack Andraka created a method of detecting cancer that costs just $0.03, and Robert Langer, an award–winning chemist, invented nanospheres capable of distributing medications made up of macromolecules. Neither development was begotten with ease, however. When questioned, Langer said, "I believed in my ideas and I guess that's how I got through it." Rana el Kaliouby utilizes technology to help people. Her company, Affectiva, created software able to detect the emotions in one's facial expressions. They plan to incorporate themselves into Google Glass in order to assist Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. The Future Of Politics? THE FUTURE OF POLITICS? IT'S DOWN TO US Politics. Where to begin? I've never studied it or anything (I'm more of an International Relations type of girl) but I think it's important. For me, it's about more than voting at the ballot box, debates in the House of Commons and making fashionable complaints about politicians etc. It's about what happens in between that can affect our day–to–day living, from the civil servants who work tirelessly to put laws into effect to the constituency office caseworkers who deal with mountains of requests each day to ensure each person is valued. Above all, ever since participating in the National Citizen Service programme, I particularly love seeing the power of social action being used effectively to change lives for the better, by bringing people together and at times even influencing decision–making at the top. I feel that it's vital for the younger generation to play a part in how the country is run because, after all, it goes without saying that each iteration of government has an impact on the future that we are going to inherit. Why are we being set up to shoulder economic and environmental burdens we had no role in creating? Tuition fees? Fracking anyone? Makes it all the more worrying that there seem to be so many structural and psychological barriers that stop young people from getting involved and these need to be addressed. This was my inspiration for building a digital platform to redefine youth political engagement: Politicks. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Essay about The Future of Mankind The Future of Mankind If we compare the present with the past, if we trace events at all epochs to their causes, if we examine the elements of human growth, we find that Nature has raised us to what we are, not by fixed laws, but by provisional expedients, and that the principle which in one age effected the advancement of a nation, in the next age retarded the mental movement, or even destroyed it altogether. War, despotism, slavery, and superstition are now injurious to the progress of Europe, but they were once the agents by which progress was produced. By means of war the animated life was slowly raised upward in the scale, and quadrupeds passed into man. By means of war the human intelligence was brightened, and the affections...show more content... But the Crimean War was injurious to civilisation; it retarded a useful and inevitable event. Turkey will some day be covered with corn–fields; Constantinople will some day be a manufacturing town; but a generation has been lost. Statesmen and journalists will learn in time that whatever is conquered for civilisation is conquered for all. To preserve the Balance of Power was an excellent policy in the Middle Ages, when war was the only pursuit of a gentleman, and when conquest was the only ambition of kings. It is now suited only for the highlands of Abyssinia. The jealousy with which 'true Britons' regard the Russian success in Central Asia is surely a very miserable feeling. That a vast region of the earth should be opened, that robbery and rapine and slave–making raids should be suppressed, that waste–lands should be cultivated, that new stores of wealth should be discovered, that new markets should be established for the products of European industry, our own among the rest, that Russia should adjoin England in Asia as she adjoins Germany in Europe––what a lamentable occurrence, what an ominous event! In Central Africa it often happens that between two barbarous. and distrustful nations there is a wide neutral ground, inhabited by wild beasts, which prey upon the flocks and herds on either side. Such is the policy which maintains the existence of barbarous kingdoms between two civilised frontiers. The great Turkish and Chinese Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Future Essay My future is something I often think about. Most often, the questions that arise include the common doubts of "Am I doing this right?", or even the occasional midnight philosophical questions such as "Why are we here?", and so on. For the purpose of this essay, I will focus on the factors that have allowed me to reach this point in my life and how these factors influenced and continue to influence me, in order to provide me with a visualization of my future. Factors that contributed to my current life choices include the desperate want to be something greater, as well as to experience the world in ways some could only dream of. I study hard, allowing for me to have the possibility of an early graduation. I dream big, allowing me with the imagination to draw up plans for myself and my future. I work hard, allowing me the strength and vision to execute my plans for the future. The way that I was raised has greatly benefited me. My parents have taught me that anything and everything is possible as long as you work hard for it despite the what others may tell you or even if the odds are against you. Another factor that led to my current life, is the amount of time I allow myself to think about my plans and refine them. This is extremely important because, without a solid, flexible, long–term plan, you could get lost in dreaming about the future, and end up not accomplishing anything. Hence, many aspects of my life have been planned out with not one or two possible alternatives Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Essay on My Vision of Tomorrow My Vision of Tomorrow Tomorrow's world will be much different and also, much better in many ways. We will have developed much better technology. We will have made huge medical advancements. The general quality of life will be much better, and living will also have become much easier. Still, nothing can ever be perfect, and in a world of the future, we will experience many complex and unavoidable problems such as depletion of resources, overpopulation, and the threat of nuclear and biological warfare. The solutions to these dilemmas will not be immediately apparent; but, we will have to overcome them. The future could hold great opportunities for many people, but we will need to work at it. In the future, technology will have...show more content... Things that doctors cannot even comprehend today will become clear to us in the not so distant future. Everyone will also be living longer due to the knowledge of more remedies and of enhanced wellness. People will also be much different in the future. They will become more separate from each other (linked only by computer and telephone). They will become even more materialistic and our society will move closer and closer to complete capitalism. Rules and laws will also be much stricter and the kind of crime that is commonly seen today will become rare in the future. The days to come will not be without problems and stress though. To overcome problems like waste disposal, depleted natural resources, world nuclear and biological warfare, and global warming will be no easy task. Everyone around the world will have to join together and help each other to solve problems that will eventually effect all of us. One of the biggest problems that we will have to deal with is the deterioration of the average family and its values. If the human race cannot get out of the hole that is has dug, everyone in it will be doomed to extinction. So, to sum it up, the future can and will most likely be great, but to achieve this greatness, humans will have to make some personal sacrifices and they will have to face many hardships. For now, we can look forward to the world of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Essay On The Future Future Research My newly developed techniques and latest findings direct me for further innovative studies in the emerging field of environmental sciences towards conservation, detect environmental controlling parameters, biological function of living organisms and their interaction to the environment, and develop new technologies to protect the environment and public health. My challenge is to get a more complete picture of these issues in the near future which could help to resolve the problems of global climate change and use the CO2 and other greenhouse gases for beneficial purposes as a potential natural resources. In the short term, I will continue working on several problems of my current research, including (1) two...show more content... First, reduction of GHG, carbon capture and sequestration. Reduction of GHG is one of the most challenging tasks currently facing by the world scientists. Although a minor reduction process has been succeeded but they were used synthetic chemicals, which are in fact not good for environment. In consideration of this realism for protecting the future, my research will be focused to reduce GHG by developing new technologies on the biological mechanisms and without using any chemicals (Fig. –––). As I mentioned above (patent pending), I have already succeeded to reduce GHG up to 12%. In this long term project, I have targeted to clean the air 100% by reducing the harmful anthropogenic GHG as necessary. In this aspect, Carbon capture and sequestration is a very potent technique. Following this approach, carbon dioxide or other forms of carbon will be processed for a long–term storage. This process will be focused to capture CO2 by mimicking nature's process for hardening tissues in living organisms. This is a similar biological process of corals and other calcifying organisms (ref––). However, here I would use a newly discovered group of microbes (described in the patent). In this technique, CO2 will be used as a potential beneficial material to produce highly useful products such as beneficial mineral for human health (fig––). In addition, some natural material (following the patent Aqua–NOF–GHG with some modification) will be used on carbon capture in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Essay on The Children Are Our Future Marie hoover Prof. orgier ENG ‎4/‎23/‎2012 The Children Are Our Future What the world needs now is for the parents of today's children to step up and teach their children to be respectful, caring, and compassionate children, which will one day turn into adults. One of the problems is the laws on child abuse and the way children are raised today, compared the way children are raised today to thirty years ago or even before that, is not the same. Kids today have little or no respect for their elders, teachers, or even law enforcement. I would have never talked to any adult the way some of these children today talk to the adults in their life's. These are the same children that are our future. Part...show more content... This is causing the children of today our future of tomorrow to run rapid, so as our children are becoming young adults, they need to learn to be respectful and courteous to the adults and the world around them. Which is a hard thing for parents to install in their children these days, due to once they go off to school they are faced with many hard decisions in which they need to make without the help or guidance of their parents. Yes when we were their age we had to face the same, but it was different back then children just knew if they did wrong their parents would find out and they'd be grounded or get the belt. While children now days know that the worst thing that can happen to them is they might get grounded. In the research I have found most people including most children agree that spanking is ok if it is used as discipline and not just because you enjoy hitting your children. Some children even believe that children who don't get spanked have less respect for their parents and other adults in the long wrong. Many generations used corporal punishment as discipline tool, not as abuse and the majority of those people grew up as happy productive adults. Some even believe that yelling or not punishing children cause more damage and we all know that grounding children don't work due to they always have some reason to be out of the house either school or after school Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Persuasive Essay About The Future What are you going to be when you grow up? The go–to inquiry of almost every adult in a child's life. It is asked almost in a whimsical way in the first few years; often met with innocently ambitious responses such as an astronaut or a deep sea diver. With most kids, myself included, the answer changed several times throughout grade school. My starry eyed dreams of becoming an archeologist soon shifted to architect, and then to wilderness firefighter, then soldier, policeman, engineer, and so on. I could be anything i could dream up in this world and i had forever to decide. However, there comes a point in every teenager's life where the question of the future starts to scare you. This distant future is now becoming a very real thing that needs to be figured out and planned, because it's almost time to make that next step. I've always heard it said that high school will be the quickest four years of your life. I had no idea just how fast until it was time for me to start preparing for the real world. Over the past two years, i've really done some "soul searching" so to speak, and I believe that i've found out what i'm going to do for the rest of my life. Now i know that whatever teacher got selected to read through the stacks of senior essays that contained my piece is probably laughing at that last bit. If only i knew right? But just hear me out. My goal is to become a pilot for the United States Marine Corps. From a very young age, the idea of flight has fascinated me. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Essay about The Future Classroom When we look at our society today, there is no doubt that our education system is undergoing another revolution. Technology has advanced to the point where it has made information widely accessible, and its convenience has established new means of independent learning. Students are able to learn from a seamlessly infinite resource, and now schools face a competitor in the distribution of knowledge. Now as schools attempt to integrate technology into the school environment, there are challenges in defining the next generation of classrooms. Through our Alternate Worlds class, we have attempted to integrate technology into the class with both success and disappointment. However, though technology provides a great resource for education,...show more content... Like a future classroom our class embraces technology as a tool for education. Through websites, blogs, and streaming online media, our class takes all forms except the traditional lecture style. Another way in which this class is an example of a future classroom is in the way we communicate. Through forums, chat boxes and emails, our class communicates through instant mediums instead of face–to–face contact. One final way in which this class is a model for future classrooms is in the responsibility that students have for their own education. Students in our class make their own schedule to keep up in class and are bounded by a loose schedule. Students are given flexibility in where and when they want to work, which is different from traditional classrooms that meet on strict schedules. Though our online class exemplifies many characteristics of a future classroom, our class stays traditional in several ways. One similarity between our classroom and a traditional classroom is that students still hold the responsibility for submitting in work to be graded. Students still need to be assessed on whether or not they are keeping on task with readings, and so assignments and projects are still used like in traditional education settings. Our class is also similar to traditional classes in which there is a professor who takes part in ensuring that we stay actively on schedule Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Can you see it, hovering in space, blotting out the stars, so big it bends thought? Can you imagine a machine so complex that no human has ever even tried to understand it, and yet the machine exists because humans built it in the first place? A machine consisting of entire worlds, entire ecosystems powered by chemicals and energy regulated by computers that build and program themselves. Imagine these worlds connected by transport and communications systems, always kept up to date automatically, and modified as needed by the people who live in these habitats. Can you imagine a machine that makes money obsolete,...show more content... All this simply because a member of the human race desired such a world to live on. An entire Eco–sphere designed, built, genetically engineered to fulfill the needs of a single human. Do you want a desert environment, with light rains in the mornings, or do you want an ocean world, with crystal living quarters twenty miles under water that glows in the dark? Whatever you want, this machine will design it for you, creating new technology and materials where necessary if necessary. Can you imagine how many needs a trillion humans have each day, how many needs this machine is forced to fulfill simply because its programmed to? Can you imagine the strain this machine is under? Can you imagine the minerals and energy needed to keep such a system working? Can you imagine the computer at the core of all this, the master that drives all this, the computer that controls everything this machine has ever done? This master computer contains a single line of code. Can you see all this in your mind? Can you imagine what this code must look like? What kind of genius wrote this code? He wasn't a genius, and the code is simple enough for a five–year–old to understand. "Make Humans Happy". This entire Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Essay On The Future Of The Energy Industry What is the future of the energy industry in Canada? A big uncertainty that arises for the energy industry in Canada surrounds the new U.S. administration. According to National Resources Canada, Canada currently exports 99% of its oil and gas to the U.S. (2017a). If Trump were to revise the current NAFTA agreement, and impose a tax on imports to the U.S. from Canada, it could result in Canada losing a major partner, and cause the economy to take a hit. As mentioned, President Trump is in support of the Keystone XL pipeline, however, that then also comes under scrutiny for how much of the profit would Trump expect. As of November 2017, the Keystone XL pipeline is approved, but on an alternative route, and it still faces challenges. If...show more content... However, emissions "per barrel of oil produced in the oil sands have fallen over 35% since 1990," (Government of Canada, 2017a). It is good that Canada is taking steps to reduce their carbon footprint, but the future of Canada as a member of the Paris Agreement is uncertain if Canada does not take more tangible steps to reduce the production and emission of greenhouse gases. What is Suncor's Future? Based on the challenges identified, and the way that Suncor approaches these challenges, the future looks bright for Suncor. As the case study points out, water use is an environmental issue that requires careful management (Vietor, 2016, p.7). The major oil producing companies were taking measures to reduce the amount of fresh water they were withdrawing from the Athabasca River, and the Canadian government had restricted withdrawals to 5.2% of the river's median flow (Vietor, 2016, p.7). In 2015, Suncor more than exceeded their goal of reducing their water usage. The government regulated that they could use "59.8 million cubic meters annually," however, their 2014 usage was only "18.65 million cubic meters," (Vietor, 2016 p.12). This demonstrates that Suncor is on track to meet national demands and constraints placed on the energy industry. As they are ahead of the game in this regard, they set precedence for other oil and gas companies in the industry, and this action encourages them to reduce their own water consumption in the future. As Suncor has already achieved Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I know some people that change their minds every week of what their future hold for them and how they are gonna live through it. The future is changing every second of our lives, everything single thing that we do affects what our future hold for us. All my life I have been determined on one thing in my life. I have always wanted to become a doctor no matter what. I know that there is nothing that is gonna change my mind about that. Technology has helped many people with what they do at their job, however it has also harmed their jobs also. All my life I have been in and out of hospitals. Every since I was born I had some problems that I had to face. Thanks to all the doctors that were there for me, that helped me become the girl that stands today, I get to live my life in peace. I had told myself from that day forward that I was gonna become a doctor or a nurse and help as many people as I can. I have always loved to help people in need. I hope that one day that I can save someone's life as someone saved mine.If I had to pick one role model that I looked up to ,I couldn't. • 13. Essay on The Future of Education The Future of Education As teachers our primary concern should be the students and what type of learning environment will be best suited to meet their needs. There are many different opinions as top what the most effective or appropriate curriculum is for the students. I do not believe there is any one philosophy that can provide the ideal curriculum for each and every student. Just as there are numerous methods of teaching, there are also numerous ways to learn. It is essential that we keep this in mind as we help the students achieve their goals and discover their talents. Above all we must encourage the students to try new things and do what we can to prevent limiting them in any way. I do not feel that I...show more content... I think that many of the schools today merely try to prepare the students to move on to college and by doing so exclude the students who are gifted with other abilities that are equally important and useful in society, even though those talents may not necessarily be something that can be refined through a traditional four year college. As a future teacher, I very strongly believe that students need to be shown practical applications of the concepts they are taught. For myself this is especially notable in mathematical applications. As teachers we need to not just show how to work through a problem: we need to show why it works and what it is useful for. Without something to apply the information to math is nothing more than a stream of numbers and formulas that students memorize for a specific test and then quickly forget. By demonstrating specific examples of applications the students will be able to retain some of the information easier and then adapt what they learn to other problems they encounter in the future. Upon graduation I hope to begin teaching Math at the middle school or high school level. Geometry, Trigonometry, and Algebra would be my first choices of classes I would like to teach, but I feel I would enjoy teaching any of the other forms of math. I would prefer to teach in a rural area since that is the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

They are the next generation and I would like to leave a legacy for them to follow. I want to help save and make a child happy someday. We all have a purpose for being here and I my purpose is to save one of us, my purpose is to help the ones in need, the ones in the street begging for somewhere to live, the ones dying of poverty. However, right now in the 21st century technology has taken over the world, not figuratively but literally. It made the world, both a bad and good place. People are going to run out of jobs and tech will run the world. Technology will be the greatest invention of human kind but how will it affect some of us? • 15. Essay On The Future In The Great Gatsby "The orgastic future [...] year by year recedes before us" and the past consumes us with its "moments of hope and promise and wonder" (Fitzgerald 180; Parr 76). To be human is to be unfulfilled and to long for the unreachable, but such aspirations often prevent one from fully living in the present. In F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel, The Great Gatsby, an obsession with the inaccessible past characterizes the lives of many of those inhabiting a "universe of ineffable gaudiness" (Fitzgerald 99). Using a motif of water, Fitzgerald traces character Jay Gatsby's relationship with the past, to reveal that those who reside in an acquisitive world and try to escape the past will remain there if they mistake it for a viable future. In the short term, they often recognize and attempt to overcome the shortcomings of their past lives. Should they confuse the past with the future, however, they will cease to make progress on their temporal voyage into the future. Ultimately, these individuals will come to believe in their capability of living in the past, becoming so delusional that they actually end up lingering there forever. Initially, Gatsby's actions on Lake Superior highlight both his assertion of control over his life and his endeavor to escape his roots. When a young James Gatz, lounging on the sandy beach of Lake Superior, witnesses Dan Cody's yacht "drop anchor," he "borrow[s] a row–boat" and "pull[s] out" to the yacht, "inform[ing]" Cody of an imminent storm (Fitzgerald 98). • 16. How Will Our Future Be? Essay How Will Our Future Be? The way the future is heading seems to be very clear but as before things may change. The time to come will never reveal itself until it has actually been. From this point of view I will try to describe the way I see the future coming our way. One of the major aspects when discussing the future is how will the law be handled and how power will be dealt with. Will we be able to decide for us self what we want to do with our lives and will the right of every individual be respected, as written in the constitution. There is no way I could be forced to believe otherwise. Our society today is made to decide if every citizen in Denmark should have some sort of card that you used for multiple things. • 17. Essay on Future Of Television The Future of Television Hello, and welcome to the wonderful world of time travel. Technology is a growing part of our society today, and it is going to be very important part of our future. I am going to show you what technology is doing for television from now, into the next century. Sit back, relax, and buckle up as we embark on our journey through time. To start off, HDTV(high definition television) is what we have to look forward to in the next three to five years. Now, you are probably asking yourself what is HDTV? HDTV is an all–digital TV broadcast signal that delivers high–resolution, wide–screen picture, and six channels of digital sound. Though computer experts and scientists are working on a...show more content... First, the screens are much wider and more flat. In addition to the obvious weight and and size of the picture, the resolution and luminance of a flat panel display are uniform over its entire surface; cathode–ray tubes and projectors are what we have now. They tend to lose resolution and luminance at their corners and edges. Flat panels are generally better–looking, more efficient, and uses less power(Mitchell 48). As of now, we are in the computer age. Computers are involved in almost every aspect of our lives. Just face it, they are everywhere we go. By the year 2002, computers and TV will be integrated. You can surf the web, talk to a buddy from Chicago, and watch a news cast from Ontario through the Internet. There will be live digital feeds going from your phone line to your HDTV. If you are tired of watching the NBA, you can find a website and watch a televised basketball game as far away as Egypt (Zwirn Interview). Just imagine playing one of those action thriller computer games on your giant big screen HDTV. Now, as we time travel even further into the future to the year 2006, the number of HDTVs will be outrageous. Every single TV out there will be all digital. There will be as many HDTVs there, as there are TVs now in our present time. "The numbers will increase by the second Get more content on HelpWriting.net

People will never be able to live in the future because the catch is once people live in the future, the future becomes the present. Even though no one knows what the future is going to be like, people like to write about this unsolved mystery because there is no right or wrong answer to what the future is going to be like. Both the novel, The Lathe of Heaven, and the movie, The Matrix, focus on the future. The writers and creators of these works not only suggest what life could be like in the future with similarities and differences, but they also add what life is like today in order to make the stories...show more content... In the novel the three main characters are Manny, George, and the girl he likes, Miss Leache. In the movie the trio is Morphius, Neo, and the girl he likes, Trinity. These characters are very similar to each other because they depend on each other. The anti–agent in the novel is Dr. Habor, and in the movie the anti–agent is Agent Smith. These anti–agents try and distract the main characters, either Neo or George, with what they are trying to achieve. They make the main characters lives more challenging. Other than the fact that The Matrix is a movie and The Lathe of Heaven is a book, there are aspects which are different between the two works. For instance, in The Matrix there are only two worlds. These worlds are the matrix and the real world. Not too many people know about the real world because they are stuck in the matrix. In the movie these two worlds stay consistent. The matrix is always the computer system where people have the same day to day routines, and the real world is always destroyed and run by machines. On the other hand, in the novel there are always new worlds. The characters never go back to a world which they have already lived in. Every time George dreams, a new world is created. These worlds are unknown until he wakes up and sees what he has done to the previous world. George is the only one aware of these changes while in the movie the people who are not plugged in the system all know what is going on. The worlds in the novel Get more content on HelpWriting.net

We live in a world with hate, envy, and evil, but we also live in a world with endless love, passion, and hope. In this hopeful world, our expectations have grown. We have anticipation about the future that we are going to have, and in all honesty, many do not have hope that we will have a better future, but that doesn't mean we can't try. We all aspire to be the best we can and I believe that with the ambition we have, we can move forward and better our world and each other.
