This document provides information about the EV/NPT tool. The tool is used to spread the polyethylene outer sheath with an aluminum screen of medium voltage cables without damaging the aluminum. It has a limited opening angle to prevent breaking the aluminum. The tool has a diameter range of 15-240 mm and is 230 mm in length, 15 mm wide, and 40 mm tall. It weighs 0.24 kg and is not packaged.

Tool to spread PE outer sheath with
aluminium screen

The EV/NPT enables the user to spread the tabs of the PE outer sheath with glued aluminium
screen (among them, cable : C33-226 Popy and Nikol), without damaging the aluminium
screen and in order to slide in the screen ring
