Based on the annual report of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, it is in 2017 that the most number of buildings over 200 meters was completed in the world. 144 high-rise buildings, buildings measuring over 200 meters, were completed in 28 countries.
Half of them were built in China. In fact, Ping An Finance Center in Shenzhen got named the highest skyscraper of the year at 600 meters and made it to the overall tallest building list ranking 4th. Dubai did not want to get left behind and placed three skyscrapers on the list.
