10. Similarities and differences between
previous task ,week 1-4, and weeks 5-8
Similarities
A similarity that has stayed the same throughout this whole project is the API of the
discrepancies. This is because no matter if the athlete gets better or worse at the
discrepancy they will still believe it to be of the same importance. In this case it has stayed
at a 7/10 for both. Also my score for Oscars ball retention has stayed at a 7. even though
looking at results I can see he has got better I still believe him to be a 7/10 in the said area.
Differences
A difference is that the ASA for both flexibility and ball retention has gone up from a 6 to a
7 since the mid point. This shows successful my training plan has been as it shows that the
player feels a lot more comfortable in this areas where he used to feel weak in. this will
help him to be a better all round footballer. Flexibility has gone from a 6 6 to a 7 7 in my
score and the coaches score respectively. Ball retention has gone from a 7 7 to a 7 8 since
the mid point. This shows that both me and his manager can see the improvements that he
has made and especially for the manager to see this improvement shows that the training
plan has been very successful. This is because for him to think he has improved these areas
shows that Oscar will have a better shot a team selection in future games and also for Oscar
to see we both think he has improved will boost his confidence in these two discrepancy
areas.
