- 4. Stablon Tablets
Recommended Dosage
The recommended adult Oral dosage
of Stablon Tablets (Tianeptine
Sodium) is approximately 3 tablets
per day, to be taken at the start of the
main meals, morning, noon and
evening.
In patients over the age of 70 and in
cases of renal failure, dosage should
be reduced. Do not stop treatment
without your doctorās approval.

Contraindications
Generic Stablon Tablets (Tianeptine Sodium)
is contraindicated in patients with the
following conditions:
āHypersensitivity to Tianeptine Sodium, or any
inactive component of this medication.
āConcurrent administration with MAOIs : As a
general rule, leave a period of 15 days after
discontinuation of treatment with MAOIs.
āPregnancy or breastfeeding.
āChildren under 15 years.

Side Effects of Stablon Tablets
The reported side effects of
Stablon Tablets (Tianeptine
Sodium) are abdominal pain,
fatigue, nausea, constipation,
loss of appetite, insomnia,
drowsiness, palpitations,
muscular or joint pain,
headache, vertigo, tremor,
breathing trouble and dry mouth.

Warnings And Precautions
āFor patients requiring general anesthesia, the
anesthetist has to be informed and treatment with Stablon
has to be discontinued 24 or 48 hours before surgery.
āTreatment should not be stopped abruptly, but dosage
should be decreased gradually over a period of 7 to 14
days.
āSome patients may display decreased alertness. Patients
should be warned of the risk of drowsiness associated
with treatment with this medication, especially
āthose who drive vehicles or operate machinery.
āInform your doctor in case of pregnancy or breastfeeding

āIn order to avoid any possible interactions between
different medicines, any other treatment must
automatically be reported to your doctor.

Overdose Treatment
In the event of accidental or deliberate
overdosage, a doctor must be consulted
immediately. Treatment for Stablon overdose
should be gastric lavage, cardiorespiratory,
metabolic and renal monitoring.
Symptomatic treatment of any clinical
manifestations, especially assisted ventilation
and correction of metabolic and renal disorders.
