the effects of emissions from cell phones
and cell towers on human beings?
Several international organizations have undertaken studies on the
effects of handsets & towers on human health. These include World
Health Organization (WHO), USA Government agencies (see
http://www.cancer.org & http://www.cancer.gov), UK Government
Agencies, European Union, etc. In India, Indian Council for Medical
Research (ICMR) is undertaking a comprehensive study. All India
Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Tata Cancer Hospital Mumbai,
etc are also conducting studies. Till date, none of them have found
any conclusive evidence of any adverse health effects at all. A
Government of India Expert Committee submitted its report in
February 2014 to the Allahabad High Court in response to a
litigation. In this the Government of India Expert Committee stated
that there was no scientific evidence at all that handsets & towers
had any adverse health effects at all. Indian regulations on towers
are ten times stricter than international regulations. Indian
regulations on handsets are 20% stricter than international
regulations. Delhi Medical Association also issued a statement that
radiofrequency waves had no adverse health effects at all.
