He is an Architect, urban futurist and co-author of “BIM for Dummies” (Wiley, 2015). He likes to find familiar analogies for complex subjects to make them easier to understand. - The Information Delivery Cycle provides a logical framework for the production of pertinent information at discrete stages of the whole building lifecycle.
- Create is an additive process. Develops with the project Can be a mix of descriptive and prescriptive specification Start much earlier in time line
- The original NBS specification output in 1973 was in paper book form. But even then, this contained a diagram showing that the specification should be linked to the drawings through references, to quantities and costs, and to a library of technical standards and manufacturers’ information.
