8. Australia NBN Co project
– The Australia National Broadband
Network project was signed on May
4th, 2011, between NBNCo and IPA.
– With the contractual period 5 years,
an option to extend, the contractual
value for IPA will be ~ 100 mAUD.
– Collaborating with the industrial
leaders such as Optus and Gilat, IPA
will be the supplier of raw Bandwidth
for the project.
– The NBN project is designed to enable high-speed broadband to be delivered to all
Australian households and businesses through a combination of fiber to the premise,
wireless and satellite. NBN Co is operating a wholesale-only, open-access network, and
making its wholesale services available to retail service providers on non-discriminatory
terms.

9. Recovery of Mobile Communication Network in Japan
• After the 11th March Tsunami aftermath of Great Tohoku-Kanto Earthquake
• Thaicom supported cell-phone carriers in Japan to recover the mobile communication
networks in the affected areas by providing 10 IPSTAR user terminals and 60 satellite
antennas.
• Installed VoIP enabled notebook computer connected via Thaicom 4 in Wakabayashi-
ward, Sendai City to provide free IP phone service to the residents

10. School Net and Mobile Network in Thailand
Corporate Social Responsibility
School Net:
• The IPSTAR project successfully serves more than
20,000 schools out of the 38,455 schools in Thailand.
• One of four students in rural Thailand (approx. 3.5
million) now have access to internet broadband and e-
learning via satellite.
• More than 50 percent of School net deployment are in
the north eastern region of Thailand.
Southern Flood Relief:
• Thaicom provided the IPSTAR network via the
Thaicom 4 satellite to aid Advanced Info Service Public
Company Limited (AIS) in recovery of critical mobile
phone networks in flood affected area, ensuring critical
communication links are always available.
• Thaicom provided 20 satellite Terminals to 20 districts
in Southern of Thailand, which helped 120,000 peoples
within the mobile phone network.

• India
– Current utilization and capacity 1005 Mbps
– Main usage is Mobile Backhaul
– More than 7,000 user terminal deployed
• Japan
– Bulk lease contract signed with major Telco (> 2 Gbps or 70% of Japan’s capacity)
– Backup GW contract has been signed on Jan 07’2011
– Currently most usage are for Femtocell backhaul, low UT sales but high bandwidth
consumption
– TC offered free contribution of the satellite equipment to support SBM amount 200
UT
– The disaster caused by earthquake and tsunami had also affected
telecommunications in the affected areas. Softbank requested to increase the
capacity in beam 402 to full capacity

– IPSTAR became one of the standardized product for CT and has been
commercialized through China Telecom branches nationwide
– Our business strategy will focus on CDMA backhaul expansion for China Telecom and
other Telco, mass vertical projects for government, and enterprise users through
China Telecom branches
– IPSTAR for CDMA backhaul solution is now being used in

– IPSTAR for Femtocell is being tested in Beijing, Inner-Mongolia, Xinjiang, Fujian and

LTC Total Telephone subscribers
The mobile phone industry in Lao PDR have more 16.8% growth
competition, however, LTC ended its market share YoY
at the first largest with services subscriber 1.63
million subscriber combined mobile and fixed,
increased by 22.9% from Q1/2010.
LTC has total BTSs at 1,287 BTSs at the end of
Q1/2011.
Market growth by 29%YoY to reach about 3.4
million subscriber at end of Q1/2011
LTC declared the USD 15 million dividend for the
2010 performance.
Mfone
Despite high competition in the market, Mfone
regain its subscriber to end with 5% growth in
number of subscriber compare to the same period
last year.
