In response to the GDPR, Google updated
its EU User Consent Policy in May of 2018.
The Policy requires that users of Google’s
services disclose the use of cookies and
obtain consent from users in the European
Economic Area (EEA).
3. The EU User Consent Policy applies to businesses or
individuals who:
Have end users located in the EEA, and
Use Google products that use cookies to facilitate
personalized ads, track user behavior or otherwise
collect personal information from these users

The identity of every party that may collect, receive or
use end users’ personal data as a result of your use
of any Google product
Information about each party’s use of that personal
data in a prominent and easily accessible way

Note that the GDPR requires valid consent to be
obtained before most cookies can be placed on
devices of individuals in the EU.
This means that if the GDPR applies to you, you’re
required by Google to comply with the GDPR’s
regarding consent for cookies.

Informs your users about cookies
Requests your users to consent to cookies
Lets your users know how they can adjust settings to
revoke consent

Get consent to show personalized ads with a similar
consent request method as cookies.
Let users know about the use of personal information
to show the ads, let them opt out at any time and
make sure you’re obtaining clear, compliant consent.

Clearly inform your users how they can revoke
consent at any time

17. If you work with any third parties and this relationship
leads to any sharing of users’ personal information
with Google, you must make reasonable efforts to
make sure the third party complies with the Policy.
The third party should have its own disclosures in
place and obtain consent as well.

18. If personal data of end users of a third party property is shared with
Google due to your use of, or integration with, a Google product, then
you must use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the operator
of the third party property complies with the above duties. A third party
property is a site, app or other property that is not under your, your
affiliate's or your client's control and whose operator is not already
using a Google product that incorporates this policy.
19. To comply with Google’s EU User Consent Policy:
Have an informative Privacy Policy and/or Cookie Policy
Have a Cookies Notice and Personalized Ads Consent
Notice in place (if applicable)
Obtain consent before using placing cookies or using
personal information to display ads
Let users know how they can revoke consent at any
time
Keep records of consent you obtain
