LACK OF COMMUNICATION IS #1 FAILURE FOR RELATIONSHIPS Listening is a part of good communication. Here are four excellent tips to be a better listener:
LISTENING TIP #1: Listen to your partner completely without any interruption.
LISTENING TIP #2: After she is finished speaking, re-phrase the key points/thoughts you heard.
LISTENING TIP #3: Ask her if your re-phrasing or summary is accurate. If she says “no,” probe a bit further and repeat tips #2 and #3 until she signals you’ve heard correctly.
LISTENING TIP #4: Finally, and this is usually the hardest for all men, resist trying to “fix” the problem/issue at hand at that very moment.
