Election of the members of the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Phnom
Penh
By the grace of the Blessed Beauty, the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Phnom
Penh was elected on the auspicious day of Ridván 21 April 2013.
Newly elected members of the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Phnom Penh for the
year: 21st April 2013 – 20th April 2014 were as below:

Office Bearers of the Assembly were elected as below:
1. Mr. Behnam Rohi – Chairperson
2. Mr. Morn Sova – Secretary

4. Dr. Pahlaj Moolio – Vice Chairperson
By-Election of a Member
Mr. Behnam Rohi Request to resign because he has to travel before he leave the
country and Mrs. San Sopanny she has to go for her master degree in Bakok so
vacancy was announced, which was filled in by Mr. Dhinu Danveer Singh and Mr.
Meach Heoun through Bahá'í by-election. Therefore, Mr. Dhinu Singh and Mr. Meach

Heoun replace from November onward and served the Assembly as an interim
member.
Office Bearers of the Assembly after bi-election.
Because of those who leave was the Chairman. LSA has decided to elect for the office

Local Spiritual Assembly Meetings
1. Local Spiritual Assembly of Phnom Penh had Seventeen meetings during the
year, with more than 80% of the members’ attendance.
2. The Local Spiritual Assembly of Phnom Penh had two special/extra-ordinary
meeting
3. The Local Spiritual Assembly of Phnom Penh had one special/extra-ordinary
meeting with the NSA at battambong on the 23rd Feb 2014
Key Decisions of the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Phnom Penh
Went to meet Loved NSA to learn from them how to serve the community
better.
Sending 60 youths for the youths conference.
Nineteen Day Feasts will be held at Join feast level after having less attendance
of friends to come for the feast
The dominant language to be used in Feast is Khmer, with extemporaneous
English translation.
Form up a committee to design and renovate the Burial ground
Set up a fund for Burial ground.
Set up the Choir Team to record prayers and Baha’i songs

Looking for house to move our Baha’i center to a new place.
Organize Seven Baha’i wedding in Phnom Penh and provinces
Decided to buy a complete sound System to use in Baha’i center
Appointed 4 Assistance treasurer to help on fund.
Decide to move NDF to do it on weekend.
Decided to have LSA meeting after every NDF.
Form up a task force to find long missing friends.
Holy Days
All Baha’is Holy Days were celebrated / commemorated in a spirit of joy and
fellowship, with participation in the range of 20 to 120 friends/believers and
community of interest (COI).
Nineteen-Day Feasts
An average attendance of 25 - 40 Bahá’ís attended each joint Feast in Phnom
Penh. It is also observed that the collective attendance of the friends at sector
level Feast and Join Feast for half of the year.
Cluster Reflection Meetings
The Phnom Penh Cluster had organized one Cluster Reflection Meetings for the
year held on the 12 Jan 2014. Among the lines of action that arose from the
meetings were:
a) (a) A personal commitment serve community
b) (b) Increase in the four core activities; and
c) (c) Increase in community-wide teaching.

Appointments
Salim Nakhjavani are appointed as Assistants to the Auxiliary Board Member
for Protection to serve for developing the neighborhood of Phnom Penh to
accompany friends.
Mrs. San Sopanny was appointed as cluster coordinator
Mr. Pahlaj Molioo was appointed as cluster Development Facilitator
Mr. Ban kea was appointed as Cluster coordinator to replace Mrs. San Sopanny
Mr. Daravuth was appointed as Cluster coordinator to replace Mr. Ban Kea
Unit Convention (Unit #11)
Unit convention was held on the 30th
of March 2014 at National Baha’i center at 10 am
2014 and Mr. Daravuth was elected as delegate.
Sub unit convention was held in two places this year.

Mrs.Chav Hav (NSA member) Came and visited and to check the house for Bahia
center
Mr. Mao (NSA member) Came and show us the boarder of the Burial ground
