BASIC EDUCATION CURRICULUM
SESSION TITLE: Module 2: Nutrition
OBJECTIVES:
The participants are expected to:
1. Know the importance of proper nutrition
2. Identify the factors that affect proper nutrition
3. Practice health habits to achieve proper nutrition
RESOURCES NEEDED: laptop, LCD projector.
DURATION: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Introduction
This module highlights the importance of having a proper and good
nutrition. Correct health information, a positive attitude and healthy lifestyles and
practices.
Priming(5mins.)
Call the attention of the participants by asking the following questions
1. How do we say that one has a proper nutrition?
2. What might happen if you will not monitor your health status as well as
not having a proper nutrition?
ACTIVITY (25 minutes)
Group Activity
1. Answer pre-test D.: Participants will show their answer by
means of:

2. The participants will sing the song “Healthy Diet” to the tune
of Row Row your Boat.

ANALYSIS (20 minutes)
The participants will answer the following questions
1. What might happen if you will not monitor your health status?
2. What lifestyles/practices you want to maintain or improve as far
as nutrition is concerned?
3. How do you know that you have balance health dimensions and
proper nutrition?
4. Would the RDA affects nutrition level of an individual?
