Montserrado County
– Two (2) probable cases in Health workers.
Lofa County
– Twenty-six (26) new probable cases: 18 from Barkedu, 4 from Voinjama
City, 2 from Vezala, 1 from Vahun and 1 from Gbapkalasu
– 25 persons from Barkedu were trained to do contacts tracing in Voinjama
– 2 deaths in the community : 1 – Voinjama, 1 - Barkedu
10. Highlights
Bomi County
• Three confirmed in Tubmanburg still awaiting transfer to Monrovia
• County Security detachment is supporting the Ebola response
• Training of health facilities is ongoing
Issues
• The newly established Burial Team needs training urgently as are the gCHVs
being used for contacts tracing
• The 3 probable cases that evaded the tracing team and were headed for Bong
County were apprehended by security and brought back to the county. They
had onboard a dead one-year old child
Constraints
• There is a stock-out of chlorine in the county
• Contact tracing activities in Monoh, Gonjeh, Bessou, Joseph Town etc. are still
being hindered by the lack of cooperation from the communities
