• is a 2010 British science
fiction monster film written
and directed by Gareth
Edwards in his feature film
directorial debut.

who were persuaded to
be in the film, their
actions were improvised.
5. Special Effects
• Edwards created the special effects
by himself using Adobe software,
Zbrush and Autodesk 3ds Max.
• 5 months to create all 250 visual
effects.

• The film was shot in Belize, Mexico, Guatemala,
Costa Rica, and the United States over three weeks.
• Many of the locations in the film were used without
permission, and most of the extras were people who
were already at the locations.

huge film festivals.

can say that internet played a
great role in their marketing.
• The sales of DVDs and Blu-Ray
were the most successful for
them.
