2. What?
GIA is holding a Special General
Meeting (SGM) to vote on the three
motions in the ‘SGM Program.’
This will create a federation of Italian
youth organisations in Australia and
mean that organisations will be
members, instead of individuals.

3. Why?
These changes will simplify GIA’s
operations and allow GIA to add
more value to the community.
GIA will better connect and support
local organisations with less
duplication.

4. Who?
All GIA members are invited to
attend the SGM and vote on the
three motions in the ‘SGM
Program.’
Other members of the community
are invited to attend as observers.

5. Where?
The SGM will be held in Sydney, at the
offices of Co.As.It NSW, 55 Norton
Street, Leichhardt.
Participants are responsible for their
own accommodation and travel.

Motion 1: That the new constitution tabled by the GIA Committee on Saturday, 30 October 2010 be adopted in preference to the existing GIA
Constitution effective immediately.
Motion 2: That Giovani Italiani Australia (GIA) inc. disincorporates.
Motion 3: That the existing Committee continues in its current form until the first AGM under the new constitution.
