The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is an independent UK organization that receives and reviews complaints from viewers about advertisements. The ASA evaluates advertisements to determine if they violate any rules or regulations by being misleading, harmful, offensive, or contrary to the public interest. Complaints are made about ads being inappropriate for children, sexist, sexually inappropriate, misleading, featuring animal cruelty, related to homosexuality, racist, condoning violence, about religion, or offensive to people with disabilities.
