Answer all questions and show your calculations.
1. Foreign cars are beginning to lose some of their market share. One model went
from selling 23,476 units last year to 21,913 units this year. Determine the rate of
decline.
2. In Jun, Ismail worked a total of 33 hours. In Julai, he worked 43.5 hours. By what
percentage did Ismail’s working hours increase in Julai?
3. Faris and Ayu set up a budget for their family, allowing 11% of their total income
for savings, 16% for clothing, 26% for entertainment, 12% for school fees and the rest
for food. Faris earns RM2300per month and Ayu earns RM4100 per month. Find their
annual expenses for food each year.
4. In a school, 10% of the teachers teach basic math. If there are 34 basic math
teachers, how many teachers are in the school?
5. The annual maintenance fee of an apartment unit is 2.1% of its value. If
maintenance fee is RM6528.20 per year, find the value of the apartment unit

10. Aman received a 5/15/10 series trade discount from a supplier. If he purchase
three dozen smoothies makers list priced at RM342 per dozen, find the net cost.
11. A furniture with a list price of RM2000 had a cash discount of 4/10, 5/15, n/20.
Order was made on 11 April and paid on 22 April. Find the amount to pay.
12. Autocads Enterprise received a shipment of goods at a net cost of RM829.40. This
net cost was the result of a trade discount of 30/25 from the list price. Find the list
price of this shipment.
13. A recent invoice for 13 electric scooters amounting to RM6342.60 was dated 20
February and offered terms of 4/20 ROG. If the shipment was received on 23 july and
the invoice was paid on 8 Ogos, find the amount due.
