Tourists (tourists) are visitors with a minimum

overnight visitors.
5. Government is an organization that has the authority to regulate
communities in a certain area, which is generally the state. government at the
tourism agency. The existence of an information system at the Pesawaran
Regency tourism office will greatly assist the community and the government
in conducting data searches and used as a medium to provide an overview of
the potential that exists in the tourism office. Also with this system, data can
be searched in a short time so as to minimize time, costs, and errors that may
occur. The author conducts system research and development based on the
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method approach which includes the
stages of planning, analysis, design, and system implementation. Data
collection methods are carried out by observation, interviews, and literature
study.
GOVERNMENT IN TOURISM
6. In 1969 the number of tourist visits to Indonesia has
reached 86,000 tourists
INDONESIAN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT
growth increased from 11,278 in 1969 to 2,114,991 in 2008
Indonesian tourism has increased by 23% from 1991 with
Bali and Jakarta dominating the number of visits,
respectively 1,024,231 and 958,818 tourists
In 2000 Indonesian tourism recorded the highest record for the average length of
stay of foreign tourists, which was 12.26 days with a total of 5,064,217 tourist visits.
In 2002, Indonesian tourism experienced another gloomy period due to the Bali
bombing incident on October 12, 2002. This incident caused a drastic decrease in
tourists in Bali from 156,923 to 86,901 and reduced the cumulative number of
foreign tourist visits to Indonesia by 0.21%
7. Factor inhibiting Indonesia tourism?
Inhibiting factors are things or conditions that can hinder or thwart an activity, business or production
(Wibowo, 2016). According to Heri (2011: 25), the development of tourist attraction cannot be
separated from the following factor :
1. Lack of community participation in the tourism sector
2. Lack of district government development priorities for the tourism sector
3. Lack of quantity and specialization of human resources in related agencies
4. Lack of cooperation with investors
5. There is no attractive promotion system yet
6. Limited work facilities and infrastructure at related agencies and tourist attractions
7. Limited and lack of maintenance of supporting facilities for tourist attractions The inhibiting factors
for the development of tourist attractions are also based on geographical location of a tourist attraction
such as natural tourism sometimes has problems with natural disasters as well
8. What are the threats and weaknesses of
the tourism development plan?
Threats for the tourist area are natural events that pose a threat to the object
area, namely the rainy season which makes road access worse and landslides this
has a big influence that makes visitors or local people worry
9. How is Indonesia development to attract tourists?
A. More aggressive promotion of unexplored tourist destinations and Indonesia's richness of culture and
ethnicity.
B. Issue a visa-free policy so that foreign tourists will be more interested in visiting Indonesia because of
the ease of visa-free.
C. Promoting tourism in Muslim countries and Middle Eastern countries as a new source of tourists by
promoting Indonesia as the largest Muslim population so that tourists will get easier access related to
halal food, mosques, and Islamic history.
D. Improving social media to promote beautiful and attractive destinations by providing wi-fi facilities
and free internet access at various tourist destinations, so that tourists can directly upload photos of
tourist attractions so that they can become the most effective promotional venues. Improving the
convenience of transportation hubs for one popular tourist destination with an unpopular tourist
destination but has the potential to become a tourist destination (eg from Bali to Labuan
E. Bajo or from Batam to Anambas), so that it will make tourists stay longer, get a better impression
and increase foreign exchange earnings
10. What efforts can be made to improve the tourism sector?
1. Improve Access, Infrastructure and Facilities
Infrastructure is arguably the main pillar for achieving sustainable tourism goals.
2. Collaborate with Investors
In the tourism sector, the vital relationship should be between local managers, government and
private investors
3. Choose a travel ambassador
The existence of tourism ambassadors will facilitate the dissemination of information about
regional tourism to the wider community—to other regions.
4.Take advantage of the Internet
Currently, conventional promotions cannot be relied on too much. It is the Internet that has
become the new backbone for regional tourism promotion.
5.Create a City Official Mobile Application
Still in the digital realm, the last step in promoting regional tourism is having a smartphone-based
mobile application
11. conclusion
Tourism can increase foreign exchange earnings, create jobs, stimulate the growth
of the tourism industry so that it can trigger economic growth, and can even
encourage various countries to develop the tourism sector. Tourism development
that involves the community is very important with the aim of creating jobs for
local communities, providing an understanding of tourism, and improving the
economic conditions of the community. Human resources (HR) is one of the
factors that play an important role in advancing the tourism sector.
Based on the description, it can be concluded that in tourism development there
are several problems or obstacles, including limited costs or budgets, lack of
cooperation and coordination, and lack of human resource (HR) capabilities. So
that the government can take action to overcome problems related to tourism
development, so that the tourism sector in Indonesia can improve in a better
direction, and is able to have a positive impact on the State of Indonesia.
