About the Italian Festival Summerville
In 2011, four families decided to create Lowcountry Festa Italiana as an independent, non profit
organization to promote awareness of Italian-American culture in Lowcountry.
Today their Mission is to promote the Italian Culture and Heritage throughout the Tri-County area. To
donate funds to the College of Charleston, to their Department of Italian Studies. These funds go directly
to a Student for them to use to continue their Italian Studies and Travel to Italy.

In order to carry out their Mission, Festa Italiana raises money and promotes the Italian Culture by
hosting an Italian Festival Summerville once a year, in addition to various fundraiser events throughout
