The LINK of Hampton Roads is seeking volunteers to assist with PORT Emergency Winter Shelters from now until March 25th. The shelters provide meals, hygiene supplies, medical assistance and other services to homeless men, women and children in the community. Since 1992, PORT Shelters have served over 534 individuals. Lynne Finding, Executive Director of LINK, explained that the shelters help many people who are malnourished or have other special needs, and volunteering provides an opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives.
