12. Search Analytics – Search Console
https://www.google.com/webmasters/
12
Get there: Search Traffic > Search Analytics
This is where you can view which search queries or
landing pages are bringing you traffic and how you
can optimize them for more. Using the filters is
really how you narrow in to see the data for where
you should optimize.

Google Search Console and Search
Analytics! https://youtu.be/ZPTTGMGO-Z0
13. Moz Pro – Open Site Explorer
https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/
13
Moz Pro is a collection of insanely helpful
SEO tools.
Our Favorite of the collection: The open
site explorer. It is a search engine to see
which backlinks any given page or domain
have earned. It’s a great way to learn how
your competitors are earning links, so you
can earn links in similar ways.

to show Moz Link KPIs embedded in the
SERPS http://bit.ly/1pDp0eW
14. Google Drive Spreadsheets
https://drive.google.com/
14
Google Drive Spreadsheets have proven to
be invaluable for us. We use Google Drive
spreadsheets to create dashboards that pull
in information from APIs like Google
analytics, Search Console, and SEMRush.
These dashboards help us to do everything
we need to closely monitor our client’s SEO
performance. Since Google Drive is cloud
based, we also use it across our team as a
way to collaborate on projects.

templates shared by Sean at

15. Keyword Planner
https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner
15
There are many ways to phrase the pages you’re
promoting. The adwords keyword planner will give
you the metrics to show you how many times a
particular phrase is searched each month.
You can also use Google’s Auto suggest or Google
Trends for keyword suggestions too!
16. Keyword Planner Update This Week
https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner
“AdWords users with a lower
monthly spend could see limited
data in the planner. How limited?
Very.”

Google Page Speed Insights
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insi
ghts/
Google will show your page speed
optimization scores out of 100 for both
desktop and mobile. Think of this score as
how well optimized for speed your page is
rather than how quickly it loads.

Page Speed! https://youtu.be/l8lc2iPqeR4
19. SEMRush
https://www.semrush.com/
19
SEMRush is an excellent tool to see which
keywords any domain is ranking for.
Depending on your account type, you can
even get historic keyword exports.
Our favorite feature: The historical Organic
Keyword exports for any given domain. It
makes for incredible competitive
intelligence. I’ll give you a demo.
If I could only do one paid SEO tool, this
would be it.
A low hanging fruit idea – Export your domain’s
keywords and identify a handful of keywords that are on
the cusp of gaining organic traffic. Write a great piece of
content about the topic and internally link to the page
that needs a boost.
20. SEMRush Keyword Research Tip
https://www.semrush.com/
When you have filters you like using, you can reuse your url to keep the filters. In this example you would need
to change out the domain teva.com and the bolded word teva to see nonbranded keywords with a search
volume grater than 100 and a keyword difficulty less than 62.
