The ocean is an ever present mystery due to the fact that we have over 70% of it undiscovered. It never ceases to amaze humanity with its unique
creatures and habitats. One ocean environment I was fortunate to visit was the coral reefs near St. John at the Virgin Island Environmental Research
Center. I learned interesting things about this unique living system and how they support many organisms, but one thing left me very bothered. On a
tour of the coral reefs near a beach on St. John, I observed many pale detached corals. Not only that, but I saw the picture of these coral reefs from
years before and the differences were enormous. In the old picture, the coral reefs were vibrant and many. It seems like now, the coral that was once
ravishing and was in abundance are depleting and they are not as vibrant as they were before. I spoke to one of the researchers and they told me that
there are only 15% coral reefs left today because of several factors which include pollution, climate change, and unsavory fishing practices that ravaged
this once beautiful ecosystem. If these reefs are not protected in time it could be detrimental to the existence of many marine organisms.

Evil In Lord Of The Flies

Flies" 175). Before the war, Golding attended Oxford College and became a schoolmaster. He went on to marry Ann Brook–field in 1939. He would

An island 2000 km south of Hawai'i. The island is at 1В°52'23.40"N and 157В°19'6.69"W and spans 717 square kilometers of land. On this land
there were volcanoes but after some time they got eroded away. In this report I will prove that there was a volcano on the island and I will do so by
stating how the plants, climate, location and animals prove that there was a volcano.
Plants There are very few native plants on the island. The only plants that are on the island are breadfruit trees, pandanus trees, pawpaw trees,
coconut trees, babai(a type of taro root), mosses and mangrove trees. There are also yams lemons, and sugarcane as non tree plants. These seeds for
plants probably got transported to the island by birds except for the coconuts because there aren't any land borders to any other island. Because there

Brook's film merely shows that the boys are stranded on an uninhabited island. Brook neglects to focus on the importance of the island terrain. Thus, the

Simon frequently goes to his own sanctuary in the jungle for an introspective time, which resembles Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemene, especially

The Nature of Humans in Lord of the Flies by William Golding
The nature of human: are humans born good or evil? These two opposing views on human nature are two topics that Rousseau and Golding have both
touched upon. While Golding believes that humans are born inherently evil, Rousseau believes the opposite: that humans are inherently good. Golding
wrote the novel Lord of the Flies as a response of the novel, The Coral Island by R.M. Ballantyne because he believed that it was far–fetched. In this

Many students across the United States read the classic novel Lord of the Flies written by William Golding. The story traces a group of lost boys
who find themselves alone on an island after opposing forces shoot down their escape plane during a futuristic version of World War III. Because
of the novel's uncanny resemblance to other classics, like Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson or Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie, Lord of the
Flies quickly caught fire, eventually leading to two film adaptations. Tony and Emmy Award winning Peter Brook released the first film adaptation

mandatory to be spoken in school, making it problematic for me to combine the two totally different environments. Consecutively, leading into my
prevalent barrier which stopped me from being able to fluently speak English. Accordingly, my Father always says respect is an essential, needs to
be earned not forced and the only way to earn someone's respect is if you can communicate in different languages. Furthermore, he said "English is
the key to respect and power." My journey in India, was all on top of mountains, nevertheless I went through the deep valley of despairs, when I came

GREEN ISLAND ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT
Overview:
The Green Island is situated approximately 27km offshore Cairns Queensland. It stands to be 12 hectares in size being only the coral cay with a
rainforest. The island ranges from tropical to wet season within the months of January to March bringing an average annual rainfall of about 2m. It is
formed by the wave action pushing rubble debris onto leeward side (calm side) of a reef flat and with perfect conditions these debris and rubbles grow
into a small island.
Tourism rationales for development on Green Island can benefit in employment opportunities, socio–economic development of areas which would help
foster economic activities around the island. Environmental best practice refers to the applications used in the most appropriate and beneficial way in
the combination of environmental control measures and strategies. Green Island follows the regulations in relation to environmental best practice
however the need for such applications to be developed is increasing as carbon emissions in the world are increasing which is why the objective of
not leaving behind a carbon footprint needs to be achieved by Green Island.
The small Danish island of Samsoe is another project similar to Green Island where CO2 neutrality is the goal to be achieved, however, at the
moment car emissions are not as effective in terms of best practices therefore in order to counter such a pollution problem electric cars have been
recommended.
