Running Head: CHILD PROTECTION SERVICE REPORT 1
CHILD PROTECTION SERVICE REPORT 2
Child Protective Service Report

Child Protective Service ReportIntroduction
According to the case report, it is obvious that the child
need protective. This can be attributed to the psychological and
mental attitudes of the mother. The parents’ profile has revealed
that the daughter is at risk of child abuse and neglect. Suspected
child abuse and neglect should be treated in a timely manner to
protect the child from suffering at the hands of the parent. In
this respect, the child should be offered a coordinated and
multi-agency attention to enable a statutory intervention to
safeguard the interests of the child and protect her from
suspected abuse and neglect. In this respect, the case should be
afforded timely information sharing between core members of
the children protection agency.SA-45 Interpretation
As the SA-45 assessment results indicate, the parent has
depression, anxiety, phobic anxiety, and somatization. This
means that the parents needs help to cope with her
psychological issues which could have major ramifications with
her ability to create meaningful relationships with her daughter
and other members of the society.Ethical Guidelines
The ethical application relates to the fact that when the child
protection agencies are working towards ensuring the safety of
the child, they should not victimize the parent. The treatment
that is offered to the parent should not overly focus on child at
the cost of the parent. The parent should also be afforded all the
ethical aspect of the psychologists including performing a
treatment that will be beneficial to the parent and child, the
right to privacy, and ensuring that the resultant treatment does
not harm either the parent or the child.Treatment
The parent should be afforded the treatment that will help with
her with ensuring that she does not abuse drugs and also
socializing skills. This will be critical in ensuring that all the
parties in the case are afforded the right treatment that will help
in their relationship. Although the child may need to be placed
in child protection, with the right treatment, the child and
mother can be reunited. However, it is important for the parent
to be treated in order to get rid of her drug abuse behavior and
to be capable of creating meaningful
relationships.Recommendations
In the same respect, the multi-agencies that are working for case
should also plan and coordinate actions that are geared towards
assessing and response to the protection needs of the child. This
includes identifying the fact that the child needs guidance to
cope with her traumatic past at the hands of her mother. It is
important to note that the child has been through various
hardships owing to the fact that her mother is a drug addict who
has some mental challenges. It is also imperative to note that
the mother being jobless can adequately cater for the child’s
developmental requirements such as education and support
services.
It is important for the case to be offered a holistic and
culturally responsive assessment to ensure that the child gets
the needed protection as soon as possible. Delays in meeting the
protection needs could lead to further damages to the child. It
has already been reported that she had once run away from
home due to the treatment that she received from her mother. In
this respect, the child has revealed that she does not have trust
with her mother.
The mother also needs help because her history has been
marred with substance abuse. There are various parts of her
history that has shown that she has had even criminal history
which can be attributed to her drug addiction. In this respect, it
is imperative for her to be offered psychiatric services in order
to reform her to become a responsible citizen and parent. This
may help protect her child from the neglect that she has been
suffering from. It is also imperative for the parent and child to
go to joint counseling services to create a good relationship
between them.
PSY 622 Milestone Four Case Scenario 4 Guidelines and Rubric
(Trauma Symptoms Among Children)
Prompt: Review the collateral information of Case Scenario 4.
In the Assessment Data section, review the raw data of the
TSCYC. Appropriately interpret the
scores. Based on your review of Therapeutic Risk Typologies,
provide a one- to two-page recommendations report for child
protective services.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
IV. Trauma Symptoms Among Children (Case Scenario 4)
a) Assess the extent to which the case study data set meets the
Daubert standard (psychometrics). In other words, what is the
known or potential
error rate? Has the data been derived using reliable methods? Is
the data valid and reliable with regard to the scientific method?
b) Evaluate the interview information contained in the scenario
for its implications in the risk assessment and recommendations
process.
Substantiate your claims with specific research.
c) Evaluate the collateral information contained in the scenario
for its implications in the risk assessment and recommendations
process.
Substantiate your claims with specific research.
d) Create a recommendations report for risk management based
on the above elements. Justify your position with specific
scholarly research.
e) Be sure your recommendations report aligns with the ethical
guidelines of a professional psychology association. Note: You
do not need to
belong to an organization, but rather may view the ethical
guidelines on the website of the organization of your choice.
Guidelines for Submission: The recommendations report should
follow these formatting guidelines: 1–2 pages, double spacing,
12-point Times New Roman font,
one-inch margins, and at least three citations in APA format.
Instructor Feedback: This activity uses an integrated rubric in
Blackboard. Students can view instructor feedback in the Grade
Center. For more information,
review these instructions.

  • 1. Running Head: CHILD PROTECTION SERVICE REPORT 1 CHILD PROTECTION SERVICE REPORT 2 Child Protective Service Report Matthew Rosario Southern New Hampshire University Child Protective Service ReportIntroduction According to the case report, it is obvious that the child need protective. This can be attributed to the psychological and mental attitudes of the mother. The parents’ profile has revealed that the daughter is at risk of child abuse and neglect. Suspected child abuse and neglect should be treated in a timely manner to protect the child from suffering at the hands of the parent. In this respect, the child should be offered a coordinated and multi-agency attention to enable a statutory intervention to safeguard the interests of the child and protect her from suspected abuse and neglect. In this respect, the case should be afforded timely information sharing between core members of the children protection agency.SA-45 Interpretation As the SA-45 assessment results indicate, the parent has depression, anxiety, phobic anxiety, and somatization. This means that the parents needs help to cope with her psychological issues which could have major ramifications with her ability to create meaningful relationships with her daughter
  • 2. and other members of the society.Ethical Guidelines The ethical application relates to the fact that when the child protection agencies are working towards ensuring the safety of the child, they should not victimize the parent. The treatment that is offered to the parent should not overly focus on child at the cost of the parent. The parent should also be afforded all the ethical aspect of the psychologists including performing a treatment that will be beneficial to the parent and child, the right to privacy, and ensuring that the resultant treatment does not harm either the parent or the child.Treatment The parent should be afforded the treatment that will help with her with ensuring that she does not abuse drugs and also socializing skills. This will be critical in ensuring that all the parties in the case are afforded the right treatment that will help in their relationship. Although the child may need to be placed in child protection, with the right treatment, the child and mother can be reunited. However, it is important for the parent to be treated in order to get rid of her drug abuse behavior and to be capable of creating meaningful relationships.Recommendations In the same respect, the multi-agencies that are working for case should also plan and coordinate actions that are geared towards assessing and response to the protection needs of the child. This includes identifying the fact that the child needs guidance to cope with her traumatic past at the hands of her mother. It is important to note that the child has been through various hardships owing to the fact that her mother is a drug addict who has some mental challenges. It is also imperative to note that the mother being jobless can adequately cater for the child’s developmental requirements such as education and support services. It is important for the case to be offered a holistic and culturally responsive assessment to ensure that the child gets the needed protection as soon as possible. Delays in meeting the protection needs could lead to further damages to the child. It has already been reported that she had once run away from
  • 3. home due to the treatment that she received from her mother. In this respect, the child has revealed that she does not have trust with her mother. The mother also needs help because her history has been marred with substance abuse. There are various parts of her history that has shown that she has had even criminal history which can be attributed to her drug addiction. In this respect, it is imperative for her to be offered psychiatric services in order to reform her to become a responsible citizen and parent. This may help protect her child from the neglect that she has been suffering from. It is also imperative for the parent and child to go to joint counseling services to create a good relationship between them.
