An online performance support tool was created to help faculty explore, select, and apply new advanced learning technologies aligned with their course objectives. This project was funded by the Defense Acquisition University and accomplished by the George Mason University, College of Education and Human Development, the 2009-2010 Immersion Team project. The tool has since been updated and rebranded to GMU colors. This presentation was given at the Association for Educational Communications and Technology Conference held in Louisville, Kentucky from 31Oct - 04Nov, 2012.
3. Background
Project Goal:
• Examine current DAU training programs and
learning products to identify processes and
methods for utilizing advanced learning
technologies (ALT) within DAU learning
modalities.
9. Findings
• DAU relies on multiple roles and
responsibilities, internal and external to the
organization, to develop learning assets
• DAU uses an IPT (Integrated Product Team)
approach to develop learning assets
• DAU does not have a formal process to select
and integrate pedagogically appropriate ALT
• DAU does not have a sandbox
