Synopsis : Working as a Network Administrator for TCS Global client AGL Energy Limited and responsible to
resolving critical Network, Security and Wireless related issues. The core network is consist of a pair of
Cisco Catalyst 6509 series switches as Core Switch. Users are connected through Cisco 2960 Switches.
The Server firm is connected through a pair of cisco Nexus 5k and 2k series Switches.
The PCI DSS environment, external network and SRIO server farm is secured with Cisco ASA 5540
series Firewalls. To protect the Network from network intruders and attackers The Cisco IOS Intrusion
Prevention System (IPS) is used for deep-packet inspection.
For Load Balancing of internal and external services a pair of Citrix NetScaler MPX 7500 and Citrix
NetScaler MPX 8500 is used. Reverse proxy and Remote Access VPN is also configured on NetScaler.
Wireless Network is consist of Cisco WLC 5508 series with Cisco Aironet 3500 series access points,
Cisco Prime NCS and MSE is used for monitoring and administrating Wireless Network.
WAN troubleshooting related to OSPF configuration, OSPF Link. New device configuration to get into

Synopsis • Implementation of Network Up gradation Project of IIT Kharagpur involving Multilayer
Switching and integration of GPON technology with the Network.Succesfully integrated GPON
with the network thereby delivering Wireless, LAN and voice through GPON technology. The
IIT Kharagpur project involves a multilayer switched network comprising Nexus 7010 at the
core with Cisco 3500, 4500, 4900 series switches at the distribution level while the access layer
switches comprising of Cisco 2900 and Linksys access layer switches. Took complete ownership
of the project starting with survey, planning the up gradation procedure, planning the IP
Schema and configuring and implementing the network also compromising of post
implementation optimization.
• The project also involves complete indoor wireless facility within the campus area. To deliver
the wireless part of the project IIT is using Cisco 5500 series Wireless LAN Controllers and Cisco

3. 1200 series LAP’s. My job responsibilities regarding these portions revolved around the
configuration of the Wireless Controllers, configuring the configurable parameters in the
registered APs, troubleshooting the AP’s that are not able to join the controller.
