In the group classes we always do a warm up and the group will mostly do the beginner instruction each time, however if it is your second class you can get straight into the surf after the warm up and some basic beach practise and get right into it. 2. Multi Group Lesson

4. Serious about learning to surf? You must do a
multi lesson package. The multi lesson packs
are a combination of 2, 3 or 5 group surf
lessons.
Lessons are the same as a group lesson,
duration is 2 hours with all the equipment
provided but you save money when you book
more than one class at a time.

10. How it works
You need to book a time and date with our office. You
can join an existing group or book a group of your
friends.
On your first class about 15 minutes prior to your class
we get you to meet at our shop (if Middleton Lesson)
or alternatively straight at our trailer at the beach (all
other lessons) and fill out the necessary paper work.

11. On all subsequent lessons you head to the beach and
meet our team at one of our mobile surf school offices
where you are kitted out with your full length Rip Curl
wetsuit, rash vest and soft surfboard.
In your first lesson your instructor will take you for a
warm up, teach you about surf safety including how to
identify and get out of a rip and then run through the
parts of the surf board. You are then on the beach
learning the basics including how to catch waves, how to
stand up, how to correctly dismount and how to fall off
safely.

12. After this it is is into the surf for around 1.5 hours
where you can put all the practice into action! In the
water you will be catching waves in waist deep water,
hooting, cheering, laughing and standing up surfing for
the first time (well nearly everyone does!).
After the surf session you will come back to the beach,
help to wash off your wetsuit and have a memory that
will last a lifetime!
In subsequent lessons you will hit the water straight after
the warm up to get practicing your skills.

14. DESCRIPTION
Surf & Sun are a licensed surf school with
Surfing Australia and have won numerous
tourism awards including Silver in 2014 and
WINNER in 2013 for the Best Adventure

Surf & Sun's lessons are 2 hours duration,
they include all the equipment such as safe
soft surf boards, full length Rip Curl wetsuits,
rash top and suncream.

15. Lessons are held at Middleton and Moana all year
round and at Robe in the holidays.
