La Oveja Tamarindo offers surf lessons for beginners, intermediates, and advanced surfers in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Lessons are offered individually with one instructor or in small groups of up to 4 students per instructor. Students will learn proper paddling, stance, and wave-riding techniques both on the beach and in the water. Private lessons allow for a more personalized experience with an instructor's full attention focused on improving the student's skills quickly. Instructors are local experts, bilingual, and certified in CPR and ocean safety.

with a through theory lesson and practice of various
paddling positions on the board. In the water you will be
taught how to swiftly stand up on the board without
falling off, how to pick up your first wave and even ride
it.
Our lessons can be conducted in groups or individually.

Tamarindo private lessons
Private surf lessons are highly recommended for the simple reason that they are
personalized with the instructor’s full attention to improving your surfing quickly. This is
the fastest way to learn how to surf or to improve your surfing with 100% of your coach’s
attention focused on you.
And your lessons can be customized as well based on your current skill level and focus on
balance, popping up, stance and reading waves.
This two hour session is conducted in the morning or afternoon; depending on the
weather conditions.

Rest assured all our surf instructors are CPR certified, receive regular updates on first aid, have
