French for Professionals
There are 6 available levels for learning French at SIL.
Each level consists of 4 Modules:-
Academics French / School Syllabus
Our classes for children are designed as an attractive introduction to the French
language. We would like children to enjoy their French lessons whilst at the same
time they get the strongest possible base in the time devoted weekly to learning
French.

2. “Saison” and “Alter Ego” are the textbooks prescribed by Alliance française de
Delhi.
These books covers the A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels of the Common European
Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
Spoken, Reading, Writing, Listening
DELF A1 -
This is the “Beginner level” which covers French phonetics, simple phrases, one
learns to introduce himself/herself or someone else, he/she can identify and
answer basic questions about home, family, surroundings, etc.
DURATION: 3 MONTHS
DELF A2 –
This is the A2 or the “Elementary level”. In this level, student begins to understand
isolated phrases and expressions (like personal or family information, shopping,
immediate environment, work, etc.).
DURATION:5 MONTHS
DELF B1 -
At this level, the student begins to understand the main points of clear standard
speech on familiar subjects at work, school, leisure activities, etc. One can begin to
form complex sentences in French,
DURATION: 6 MONTHS
DELF B2 -
At this level, the student can speak clearly and elaborately on diverse subjects, can
express opinions, can understand the main ideas of concrete or abstract topics in a
complex text, and can communicate easily, fluently, and comfortably.
DURATION: 6 MONTHS
DELF C1 -
This is the “Advanced level” where a student can speak, and understand a wide
range of long and complicated texts, can work independently in professional and
academic fronts.
DURATION: 8 MONTHS
DELF C2 -
At the last level, or the “Master level”, the student can easily understand almost
everything he or she reads or hears. One is able to express events, and formulate
arguments both orally and in written, spontaneously and fluently
DURATION: 8 MONTHS
