1. Essay On Fair Housing
On Wednesday, October 11th a co
–worker and I went to Washington Square to present the
Assessment of Fair Housing AFH. We had a pretty small turnout, but everyone that attended
seemed interested in the presentation and participated in the discussion afterwards. We asked if
anyone had experienced any issues with fair housing in the past and if they were able to resolve it.
One woman said, "I had an issue here and I have not been able to resolve it". I asked her if she
wanted to talk about it and she replied that she did not. A little later she leaned over to me and
asked if she could talk to me after the presentation. I said yes of course and while we were packing
up she was folding chairs as people left the meeting. One of the guys in...show more content...
The tenant went back to her unit and called 911. Officer Bass of the Bellingham Police Department
was the one that responded. The Tenant has a police report from that night and the officer referred
her to Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault DVSAS and he promised to get back to her which he
has not.
The tenant said that attending weekly counseling sessions at DVSAS has helped her immensely
and she has realized that she may never know the details of that night. She said that she has been
ostracized by some of his friends that leave signs on his door that say some people are just liars or
some women are desperate for attention. In fact, the man that came back into the meeting after it
was over and saw she was still with us, is his good friend. The tenant says that she sees him every
single day and that he makes lewd comments to her in the hallway. He told her that he can hear
her in the shower, and when she does take a shower as soon as she is done he knocks on her door,
presumably to see if she will answer in her robe or in a towel. The tenant said that she spoke with
someone at Washington Square named Doug Patten or Patton. I don't know if he is an employee of
the Housing Authority or not. She asked Doug if she could please move to another unit and he said
that she could move her to Lincoln Square. She does not want to live at Lincoln Square, she has
friends at Washington Square too and she gave me a couple of other reasons not to move to Lincoln
Square. The

She stayed with me. Even before the case opened, even before she was found, she was already with
me.
I was happy. Genuinely happy. The day we went to the boardwalk for the fair and carnival, I was
extremely content with life. Madison and I were amazing. We had a relationship that people could
only envy. We were approaching our three–year anniversary with the hopeful plans of a wedding
within the next nine months. We were optimistic. My career was on the perfect path. I had just been
promoted from the traffic desk to homicide two weeks earlier. Our going to the fair was a small
way of celebrating, she knew I never liked surprises. I had not felt this content with my life in a long
time. And then I saw her.

I had always loved funfairs and similar things but this one on and around the boardwalk had a
unique vintage feel to it. It was as if it was pulled from the 40s and put in a modern world.
Throughout the day, smiles were continually exchanged with the redhead. In many lines, just walking
through the fair, on some rides, at stalls, we seemed to meet everywhere. I was able to, at certain
points, follow her without Madison noticing. The redhead knew I was looking for her and I knew
she was looking for me. Towards the end of the day, Madison and I sat on a bench right next to
the carousel. The redhead was on it. Every time her carousel section passed us sitting, I stared at
the redhead. Around half an hour later, Madison decided we had to leave but I honestly did not
want to. Not because of the rides or the stalls but because of the redhead. I wanted to see her just
one more time. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw red hair walking into the restrooms. Luckily,
moments later, Madison wanted to use one. I stood outside the restroom wondering who would
come out first; Madison or the redhead. If it was Madison then we would walk away, go home and
I'd never see the redhead again. If it was the redhead, I wondered what would happen? Would we
speak? Would we just share another meaningful smile? Or would it be something

3. Essay about The County Fair
You could smell the excitement. Girls, boys, women, men, babies, everyone. If you stepped into
a fairground at anytime it would be writhing will people packed to the rafters unable to move, any
shape any age and I guarantee, every single one of them would be having a great time. The first ride
you go on would be a "Midi". A "Midi" is a ride not as boring as the floating swans, but not as scary
as the Oblivion, for example. You see the boring ones are called "Bozes", because they are just–
boring, the scary ones are called "Scazes" because like I said they are scary then the bits in between
are called "Midis" you really go on them to get started off because if you started on a scary one it

until they went on this ride, so you agree, and so it begins. RUUUUSSSHHH, SLAM your head's
jammed under one of the three safety belts, ZOOOOOOM SMACK, your heads out but you cant
see because the cold air is making your eyes water, making all the lights blurred. ZOOOOM your
face is whipped by the freezing cold air, your cheeks red from the wind SLAM, you see the fear in
your boyfriend's face, ZOOOOOOM here we go again, you see now, you are 50 feet up in the air,
hurtling down at the speed of light. SLAM your hearts racing, stomach turning, but your loving
every second of it. ZOOOOOOOOM again, shooting up at a gazillion miles per hour, the adrenalin
rush makes you want to SCREEEEAAAAAAM out your lungs as your boyfriend has been doing
most of the ride. SLAM, hoisted in mid air you see for miles around it lasts for a second but it seems
like a life time you see all the tiny dots in the fair and you see how wide and vast the

4. Fair Is Foul And Foul Is Fair Essay
In the tragedy, Macbeth by William Shakespeare, the paradoxical theme of "Fair is foul, and foul is
fair" functions throughout the play. The line is a prophecy which one thing seems like another. It
implies especially to the characters that they are not as they seem to be.
The Three Witches are the ones who introduce the paradox that runs throughout the play. The theme
affects these characters because although they speak of the future, they do not seem to affect the
course of it. They are the agents of fate because they only speak of the truth of what will happen.
Macbeth refers to the Witches as the Weird Sisters. In fact the word "Weird" comes from
an old English word...show more content...
You should be women, And yet your beards forbid me to interpret That you are so." Macbeth also
remarks that they "seem'd corporal" and yet they vanish like "bubbles into the air."
The paradoxical theme affects Macbeth's by turning his life upside down. Macbeth is not the
person he is as he seems. He is introduced as a warrior hero, whose fame in the battlefield wins him
the honor from King Duncan. However, his ambitions are made clear when he reveals his inner
emotions and thoughts. One example is when Macbeth says, "I am settle and bend up Each
corporal agent to this terrible feat. Away, and mock the time with fairest show. False face must
hide what the false heart doth know." Macbeth knows that the act of killing Duncan is morally
wrong and even agonizes over the idea of killing someone who loves him as much as Duncan does,
yet decides that he will do it anyway. Macbeth does not like the fact that Duncan intends to pass the
crown to his son Malcolm. The blindness of the Duncan shows when he says, "To find the mind's
construction in the face. He was a gentleman on whom I built An absolute trust," he greets Macbeth
as his "worthiest cousin." The effect the paradox has on Macbeth is ultimately his death. When the
Witches prophesize that no man born from a woman's womb can defeat him, he feels invincible.
However, Macbeth does not realize that Macduff was born unnaturally. Paradoxically, the more

Business Law I APPLIED RESEARCH Fair housing Laws A course paper presented to the School
for Arts and Sciences and Distance Learning in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree
of Baccalaureate Business Law I Park University September, 2006 You would think that today's
society would not discriminate against someone based on their race, color, or national origin. With
the changes in lifestyle, people continue to discriminate against those, but also someone's sexual
orientation. Even with laws and regulations, it continues in all parts of the country. The Civil Rights
Act of 1964, more specifically Title VI, stated that you could not discriminate against anyone in
programs and activities receiving federal...show more content...
These major life activities include, but are not limited to, hearing mobility and hearing
impairments. If you, or someone you live with, have a record of a disability, you are protected
under the Fair Housing Act. Due to Federal Laws, housing providers cannot discriminate against
people with disabilities. If you have a disability, you are allowed to make reasonable
modifications to your home or rental property to allow you to live a more comfortable life. You
are also allowed to change common areas, as long as you change them back to their original
condition. Most cases may require the person with the disability to use their own money to make
the changes. These changes or policies can be to add a ramp to the building or get an assigned
parking spot for easy access to the building. One policy states that if you build complexes with
elevators or other assistance for people with disabilities, all units must have the same construction
(hud.gov). If this is in place, it would make it easier to make changes, due to the fact that most
accommodations have been provided. Many professionals recognize the benefits of assistive animals
for people with physical disabilities. This includes seeing–eye dogs that are trained to alert owners to
environmental hazards. Some policies may be hard to change, but are required if needed. One well
known policy

6. Essay On Career Fair
As an international student who wants to work in the United States, it is important to attend to
serval career fairs that fit my major. If I want to stay in America after studying in university, I
would need to find a job that can offer a chance to get a working H1 visa as a foreigner. To look for
the employment opportunities, I will need to attend to career fairs in school. Therefore, I went to the
business and engineering career fair at Seattle University. There were many big branch companies,
such as Key Bank, Alaska Airline, Nordstrom, and Paccar, and they offered internship programs for
students in different quarters. So, I interviewed a recruiter from Edward Jones and listened to three
students who were seeking internships in the career...show more content...
When students were talking to the recruiters, they used body languages. The body language they
used eye contacts, and hand motions when they are trying to illustrate what they say. Students were
seeking the information on whether do they satisfy the job requirements or what are the goals of the
companies. Recruiters and students engaged in small talk, and I think the purpose of the small talk
was to gain the information about the corporation. The small talks usually ended within six minutes.
Students who were seeking job opportunities were using "what" and "could" when they started
questioning. There are similarities from the YouTube video that I watched in class compare with the
job fair. The students were like the girl in the video who prepare for the interview. They dress
formally and know what questions they needed to ask the recruiters. There are many internship
opportunities for many students, but there are also some restrictions for international students.
Furthermore, the job positions only offer to applicants who are eligible to work in America.
However, some internships were not open to foreign students even if they can work in the United

7. Career Fair Experience
Today I had the opportunity to attend the Business and Technology Career Fair. Since I am a
junior and previously a business student, I have some experience with this fair. My visit this time
was very different from my two prior years since I am now a Kinesiology major and I am
somewhat of an outsider to the majority of companies offering internships. Upon reading the
requirements of this assignment I was unsure about who I was going to speak with but little did I
know I would only have to do half of the work.
The first company I talked to was actually by accident and that was Penske the moving truck
company. I was scouring the map for companies that offered internships for human sciences and
was having little success when all of the sudden I heard a voice say "Looking for a job, Ethan?". I
was startled when I heard this and I...show more content...
I approached this company because of my love for Amazon as a company, but also because they had
listed they were interested in hiring human science majors on CyHire. The woman I spoke with told
me about an internship/co–op entitled "Air Project Manager". This internship was directed more
towards Business majors, but she did say if I applied I could be a competitive candidate given the
fact I do have some business classes on my resume. As the conversation concluded I asked her give
me her take on what the outlook for jobs within Amazon looked like for the coming years and she
said they hope to see substantial growth in the next few years with the opening of an additional
warehouse in Staten Island.
In conclusion, my attendance to this career fair was about what I expected given the fact I didn't
think very many businesses would be offering internships to aspiring physician's assistants. One
thing I wish the Business and Technology career fair had was hospitals or more medical related
opportunities. Outside that fact, I would say my overall experience at the fair was a positive

8. Fair Description
We were on our way to the fair! Driving along the bumpy road feeling the strong and powerful
breeze in our face. On our way there the sky was full of beautiful colors from the sunset like
yellow, red, orange, and pink. The colors filled in the color of the white clouds. Stars were starting
to come out while we heard the frogs, crickets, and the beeping from the horns of cars. When we
arrived at the fair we could already smell the fries from the concession stands. While we were
walking up the steep green hill we were confronted by screams and laughs of joy. We went up to
get our neon green wristbands to get on the rides. While were were walking to the rides there in
the beautiful dark night. The lights from the rides spun all over the place in beautiful sequence
and lit up the smooth, tan, and dirt walkway to get from ride to ride. It smelt so delicious from the
sweet smelling candy and treats and the salty fries. We snacked a little on the sweet, sticky, blue,
and pink cotton candy before we got on the rides. The cotton candy was all stuck stickily in our
fingers, after we ate it....show more content...
When it started it went around and around and it felt like we were floating. When we got off we
were extremely dizzy and nauseous. Most of the rides we rode had the same affect on us as the
first one. When we got on the ferris wheel and we reached the top, the fairgrounds were so
beautiful and bright all the rides falling in sequence with each other. The ferris wheel cart we were
sitting in kept on rocking back and forth and it felt like we were going to tip. I got very scarred
because those carts don't have much protection to begin with and being high up didn't help

9. Why Do Life Be Fair Essay
Unless you're winning a game, most of your life will not be fair. Life isn't going to give you the"
win" and consequently, will be hard and unjust. You will have hardships and hesitations, and that
becomes another reason to want to win and overcome this game of life. There are a couple of
arguments why life will never be fair and one is... Life will always be a competition for the best
things, and two, our idea of fairness will always be what our interests are. Now you're thinking,
"Right! Being fair doesn't have to deal with competition or my interests!", but really it does. Since I
have your attention, let's find out why. First, I said before that life is a competition and won't
always be fair. You're thinking "Nope... my life isn't a game.", but in reality, it

When we have a mind set on something, in which we have an interest in, we find ourselves
awaiting for more that is unfair about that. Say you have an interest for good grades. When you get
that bad grade in the Gradebook, what do you assume first? You assume that the test just wasn't fair.
The are–you–kidding–me–that–was–so–not–fair attitude shows. When we have an interest in
something like that, and we don't get what we wanted, we don't say "Aww my bad. That was a
mistake on my side." Instead we go straight to the unfair side. A study has shown that among
survivors of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, which killed nearly 90,000 Chinese, those who lost
family and friends were more likely than others to believe the universe was unfair. Yet those who
continued to believe the universe was fair suffered the least anxiety and depression. This shows that
when they had an interest in family and the earthquake took them away, their life became unfair.
Correspondingly, you cannot go thinking that everything you have an interest in will always be fair,
because it won't. You have to believe in the fair in the world and prosper from those

10. Essay On Life Is Not Fair
Life is not fair. That is the one thing that high school actually manages to teach you throughout the
four years that you're stuck rotating through their system. High school had been too late for me. I
learned when I was in middle school that life does not go as planned. In middle school, I was given
the jet express pass to the life is not fair stage which unfortunately has not stopped. I was not the
only one in my family that the pass was given to. The pass hit my parents and I, one by one. The
pass was death. My mother died which was not fair to her. It wasn't fair that some irresponsible guy
who was high on drugs decided to drive his truck over the speed limit. The police said he was
going so fast that as my mom was trying to merge onto the highway she would have appeared as
tiny as a speck of grass to the driver. He mowed my mom down though so I guess in a way she
was reduced to grass. No longer would she be the glue that held our family together. I never really
realized just how important that glue was until it was ripped away like a band aid. According to
my father, life was not fair to him by taking away his beloved wife and leaving behind me who
was not worthy enough to be left behind. When my mom first died two years ago he was super
quiet. It started when the phone rang. I remember it like it was yesterday. My father and I were
eating waffles in our kitchen just laughing and talking like normal when the phone started up. He
went to answer it because I was still
