Many factories and industries are not strictly
following the government rules and regulations on
disposing wastes into environment. We are using
Blockchain technology to solve this issue.

• The measurement details of air quality index and
testing details to identify the wastage disposal
from factories are recorded in Blockchain.
• Further, the monitor departments can retrieve the
details to take action on factories and industries
which are exceeding the limit of disposing
wastages in environment.
We take up the challenge of some of the illegal activities
practicing by factories and industries and solve using
Blockchain architecture. Those illegal activities include
disposing waste such as smoke and liquid in higher
quantities into the nature. We know there is a rule of
disposing such wastages in limited quantity where
factories must not cross that limit and dispose wastages in
nature. Whenever factories and industries cross that limit,
environmental protection agencies should take actions
appropriately. But there is a problem in monitoring such
values. We know Air quality index (AQI) is a measure
used for reporting the daily air quality, by factoring the
level of pollutants in the air. Different countries use
different indices for measuring air quality by monitoring
some or all of the following pollutants: carbon monoxide,
PM2.5, PM10, Nitrogen dioxide, ground Ozone (O3),
Sulphur dioxide among others. In the same way, there are
some methods used to calculate the pollutant levels in
water. These values are used to determine the level of
disposing wastes in air and water. Even though, we have
these methods there is a lack of trust factors to secure the
data. As the data is centralized, someone can easily tamper
the data. If the calculated data is stored in centralized
servers, then the users who are accessible to that data can
change and modify. If the data is stored physically, then it
is not well protected. Hence, we used blockchain
architecture to protect the data and provide the trust on
data.

CONCLUSION
Hence by this, we can completely reduce the
illegal activities that are happening around
factories and industries. By following this
method, industrialists strictly follow the
regulations of releasing pollutants in the
environment which leads to the green society.

• If we push the collected measurements
into Blockchain, then they are
permanently stored. No one can tamper
the measurements.
• Hence, factories and industries follow
strictly on disposal of hazardous wastages
into environment.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Now-a-days many factories and industries are
disposing hazardous wastage into environment
exceeding the limit kept by government.
There is no standardized method to monitor the
wastage released from factories and industries
because of centralized authorization, mutable record
keeping method and trust factor.
