Stereotype Questions
1. A businessman: Wears suit and tie (probably not as stylish as he could be). Carries two
cell phones (personal and business). Not many smile lines on face. Greying hair/bald.
Drives a nicer car, probably drinks black coffee and has a Bluetooth piece in his ear
constantly. Impatient and loud.
2. A rich person: Well dressed. Shops at Macy’s. Drives an Escalade to carrying children in.
Blonde haired and long-nailed. Chews gum. Wears a huge diamond ring and more
jewelry than necessary on a daily basis. Pays with credit card everywhere and hardly tips.
3. A typical person my age: Has a Starbucks card in their possession. Has a twitter,
facebook, and Instagram. Carries keys on a lanyard. Phone is always in their hand or near
it.
4. A poor person: Unkempt hair and clothing. They have a grimy look about them. Pays a
lot in change. No wallet or purse. Jumpy. In clothes that have a wore/outdated look about
them.
5. A smart student: Has a planner and highlighters on them constantly. Clothing is
minimalistic and simple. Carries backpack on both shoulders.
6. A stubborn person: Talks in a very low/monotone voice. Hands in pockets and has an
angry look on their face.

2. 7. A young mother: T-shirts and camisoles. Hand-me-down stroller and baby bag. When
their child is noisy or crying they seem disinterested. Smudgy eyeliner and nail polish is
picked at on their fingers.
8. An old person: Large floral prints and gaudy jewelry. Hair is not grey for women and is
gone or white for men. Flip-phone and belt clip for the phone. Glasses.
9. A foreigner: Cargo shorts. Sweatshirt or shirt that has the name of a city or amusement
park on it. Little to no makeup. Not trying to be stylish in any way. Comfortable shoes
and socks that are visible. Purse held tightly and wallet in the front pocket of pants.
10. A stock trader: Very stylish and kind looking. Trustworthy face. Well-fitting suit.
Probably married but is cheating on his wife.
11. Bus Driver: kind face. Short and sweet with information. Wears uniform that is well-taken
care of.
12. A singer: Is very stylish and more laid back in real life than on their album covers. Rich.
Probably doesn’t drive themselves around.
