5. At the time that SCS Heavy Lifts & Transports was founded it mostly engaged
in exceptional transports in central European countries. Over the years SCS
widened their scope to lifting and positioning operations of heavy objects in
various sectors, worldwide. SCS started with the transport and assembly of
turbines and presses. Yet, it continued to expand to other markets. Soon ship
lifts had to be moved and carefully placed in shipyards, cranes had to be

14. SCS HLT can provide jacking systems that can be either synchronous or
simultaneous
and
can
be
controlled
from
one
central
location.
The systems SCS HLT operates will not only raise or lower the structure but
also slide it simultaneously.
Jacking systems offer an economic alternative to large cranes by vertically
moving large structures, to erect vessels or other equipment. SCS operates

15. Strand Jacks were developed in 1970 and nowadays recognized as one of
the most sophisticated lifting tools. Strand jacks offer a compact,
economic, and highly controllable solution for heavy lifting and lowering

operations. SCS operates with strand jacks ranging from 15 to. capacity per
jack to 800 to. capacity per jack, together with power packs and
control systems to enable controlled lifting of heavy objects at up to 80
lifting points or more, and with lifting speeds usually of between 5 – 50
meters per hour.
SCS HLT have been using strand jacks in a variety of projects, ranging from
the construction of bridges, offshore structures, power stations, and
additional works.

16. STRANDJACK TOWER
SCS’s tower system can be used in combination with strand jacks or they
can be equipped with jacking or climbing systems. This system has several
configurations and is adjustable in length, height and width to match the
dimensions a specific job needs. This system is applied in the energy sector

17. The shockproof digital load cell is based on a capacitive measurement principle where a non-contacting ceramic sensor is mounted inside the load
cell body. As the load cell contains no moving parts and the sensor is not in
contact with the load cell body, the load cell tolerates shocks, torsion, and
very high overloads and side loads. Therefore, the mechanical installation of
the load cell can be done without expensive and complicated mounting

18. Load outs packages can include the supply of strand jacks, hydraulic skid
shoes, ballasting systems and mooring winches. A load out perfectly shows
why SCS has such a large variation in their equipment as these various practices all complement each other when used for a load out

up to 25m jacking height. Additionally, strand jacks are often used for skidding loadout of structures over 2,000t to supply the horizontal force required
for the skidding operation. Barge ballasting for loudouts, floatovers, or other
purposes. SCS has a range of pumps that are easily installed and come with
hydraulic centralised control power units. SCS has a number of mooring
winches and a large quantity of slings, shackles, blocks and other rigging
gear available purposely designed for mooring of large vessels and barges
during a loadout. Hydraulic skid shoes are an economic solution for the
loadout of heavy structures and has the advantages that loads are controlled and with help of load spreading mats the yard preparation can be
minimized.

19. Moving and the (dis)assembling machinery is a trademark from SCS. SCS
assembles in basements, on roofs, in ships, on heights. SCS can lift machines
up to 400 tons to 12 meters height.
Relocation, or the assembly of complete production plants is quite a challenge. All facilities are taken apart to dimensions and weights that can be

lifted and moved. On the new destination site, the whole procedure is reversed and the facilities are rebuilt, culminating in a successful commissioning for their re-start. To achieve this, a host of big and small cranes is needed, as well as transport equipment, transport frames, heavy lift ships, sea going barges or any other means that are required in multi modal transport
