Hair loss is a natural cycle that affects everyone differently. While society portrays baldness negatively, many famous celebrities like Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel, and Michael Jordan are respected and admired despite being bald. Baldness should be viewed normally rather than a stigma, as it is a common phenomenon and does not define one's self-worth or abilities.
2. Everything in life is a cycle. This does not
exclude our hair. From the day we were born,
our parents wait for the day that we would
grow hair. We should, we were bound to.
And just like everything that came, one day
it will go away. Like I said, it is a cycle. For
some of us, it is just unimaginable. But it
will come, although earlier for some of us.
But what if we never grew hair at all and we
remain bald for the rest of history? Then it
would have been natural for all of us. Then
we would see “loss of hair” in my scenario
and hair loss that we know now, differently,
at least in a better light, than we do today.
We would see hair loss and all its wonders.
However, society has always come up with names to call those without hair. The
advertising industry is thriving hard to bank upon the loss and thinning of hair with
several mushrooming products. As baldness is a global phenomenon and almost all
the sections of society suffer from this menace, these companies have a great chance of
making lots of money through their false and tempting advertisements. This is the
negative image that society bestows on bald people. But if we just stop to consider loss
of hair just as it is. We are led to think the same way as to why we should chew a gum.
3. Why should we chew a gum? Simple. Everybody does. It is
written on the label “chewing gum”. But in this day and age, we
often get surprised by the wonderful innovations of science. We
are yet to wait for the day when the label will read “melt in your
mouth” gum. It’s still a gum, nevertheless, but would we still
chew it? It is what society tells us, yes, but can we stop and look
at it in a different light? Alas, hair loss is not at all bad.
Hollywood movie stars like Bruce Willis and Vin Diesel are both
skin head yet they rock. They still look good and carry
themselves well in whatever role they play. Bald men are no
longer guys hiding under baseball caps. They are now in
mainstream media and walking the runways. In fact, bald men
are perceived to be more intelligent and have an above average
sense of self-worth.
4. The music industry opened its doors to Usher who has left
us dancing to his beat. Britney Spears shaved her head and
she made a statement to all her followers around the world.
We cheer everytime Michael Jordan makes a dunk, and so
with Kobe Bryant. We follow every game they play on
television. Georges St. Pierre is on top of his game as UFC
welter weight champion. He has all the girls around him
screaming his name out loud.
So for all those who are experiencing hair loss, wear a hat
no more, wear your head high!
