What is INSITE
INSITE is a Windows software application that works with Cummins electronic
control modules (ECMs) to diagnose and troubleshoot engine problems, store
and analyze historical information about an engine, and modify an engine's
operating parameters.
INSITE Professional also enables you to download calibrations to an ECM.
You use INSITE on a Windows based PC that is attached to an ECM through a
Cummins approved datalink adapter.

Sebelum INSITE™ dapat digunakan, harus didaftarkan terlebih dahulu
melalui Cummins distributor terdekat.
Basic password diperlukan dan memberikan akses ke INSITE read-

A work order digunakan untuk menyimpan dan melihat informasi tentang ECM
history dan repair activity . Direkomendasikan menggunakan work order untuk setiap
engine maintenance atau repair yang dilakukan.
Data Entry
• Beberapa informasi yang dibutuhkan dapat dibaca dari ECM dan telah tercatat
secara automatic didalam data field dan tidak dapat di edit. Beberapa informasi
yang lain dapat dimodifikasi jika diinginkan.
• Nomor Work Order merupakan identifikasi work order, dimulai dengan huruf ‘W’ dan
ikuti tanggal dan waktu. Nomor ini dapat ditulis ulang sampai 24 karakter.

• Exported as an INSITE compatible file, .eif (exported image file) to be

Menggunakan Data Monitor/Logger untuk melihat live engine data atau log
monitor data yang diperlukan untuk analisis.
Parameter yang telah dipilih dapat dimonitor saja (no recording) atau
dimonitor dan log (recorded).
Viewing Monitor Data, menampilkan parameter yang telah dipilih tanpa
disimpan sebagai file.
Data Log, mengambil data/ nilai pada parameter yang telah dipilih
secara kontinyu dan disimpan sebagai file untuk analisis. Jumlah data
yang terkumpul pada masing – masing parameter ditentukan oleh waktu
dan sampling rate.
Data Snapshot adalah mencatat semua parameter yang dipilih dengan
seketika, dapat dilakukan saat proses monitoring atau logging. Hanya
sebuah data yang dicatat/ disimpan untuk setiap parameter.

Duty Cycle Monitor
Duty Cycle Monitor menggambarkan secara grafik persentasi waktu
vehicle run didalam specific operating ranges.
Operating ranges berdasarkan pada engine speed (RPM) vs torque.
Engine speed ditampilkan pada sumbu X .
Torque didalam grafik ditampilkan pada sumbu Y.
Nilai RPM dan torque ditentukan oleh calibration.
Setiap blok pada grafik menunjukkan intersection nilai RPM dan nilai
torque yang menunjukkan specific operating range engine.
Nilai angka yang ditampilkan didalam setiap blok adalah persentasi

1. Select an ECM part number.
2. Select a Certification Code for your location.
3. Send the calibration to the ECM.

1. Jika INSITE™ tidak autodetect temukan dan highlight kalibrasi yang diinginkan didalam
calibration list (linked).
2. Double-click the highlighted calibration atau right-click pada calibration window and pilih
Transfer to ECM. IMPORTANT!!Read the “Warning!” message displayed on the
welcome page carefully and select Next to continue.
3. Jika calibration authorization password diperlukan, Calibration Authorization window akan
terbuka. Fleet Calibration Count atau Calibration Authorization Password must be entered.
Select Next to continue.
4. System ID and Dataplate Information window will open. Verify the Summary information is
correct and select Next to continue.
5. Adjustment Confirmation message will appear. Select OK to continue.
6. INSITE™ will begin calibrating the ECM. Follow the prompts and do not turn off the key
switch unless instructed. IMPORTANT!! Follow the instructions and select OK.
8. Akhir calibration download, it will be necessary to cycle the key switch. Follow the INSITE™
prompts as required.
9. After calibration transfer has completedThis will also appear in the summary of the
Calibration Transfer window. Select OK.
10. Select Next to continue.
11. Select Finish to close the ECM Calibration Download Wizard.
