Live can be found in the library today and all next
week. Our first Drama Club meeting will be next
Tuesday.
3. The Jr.Boy Spartans ended their season yesterday with a loss, running up
against a tough Vanier team in the GB semi-finals. It was a successful year
for the boys as they finished with an even record of 4-4 including playoffs
and captured the SCAA title. In yesterday’s game Keegan McCue led the
scoring with 9 points. Cayden Allen had another strong game with 8
points,8 rebounds and 3 blocks against some tough opposition down low.
Austin Baldry contributed with 6 points, including a long 3 pointer. Other
scorers were Zach Lant-Morgan with 4 and Andrew Harris with 2. Be
proud of yourselves boys!! Good season!!
4. Attention all actors, artists, musicians or…heck
even if you are just a great leader who’s up for
the challenge…the Spartan Drama Club will be
hosting signups and auditions for this year’s
school play “Cowtown”…a play about the very
real social pressures that come with going to a
small town, country school. Sound
familiar?...have something to say?

6. SCI students are invited to be a part of the first
annual Clearview Township 3-on-3 Youth Hockey
tournament at the Stayner and Creemore arenas
happening April 3rd-5th.
There are a variety of positions available for
youth of all ages. Give back to your community
and get volunteer hours for school. Shifts are as
short as 3 hours per day or give as much as you
can all weekend long.

more information about what you could do to
help out with the tournament and to find out
who to contact.

8. Stayner Collegiate is a 7-12 school and has both
ETFO (Elementary) and OSSTF(Secondary) members.
• Should tentative agreements not be reached, all SCDSB schools and adult
learning centres will be closed to students on Friday, Feb. 21, as there
would not be sufficient supervision to ensure student safety. As a result,
transportation for all SCDSB students will be cancelled on Feb. 21.
