I am pleased to be able to write a reference on Victoria’s behalf.
I know Victoria since 2013 when I joined the HSE as a head the Laboratory for
Decision making and Cognition at the Department of Psychology.
Since then we have been working hand in hand on international recruitment of
candidates for tenure track professorship and postdoctoral positions at HSE. This
work included preparing job ads, evaluating candidates, inviting them for interviews,
preparing job offers etc.
The Centre for Cognition and Decision (CDM) making has been running a concurrent
program of recruiting international researchers and professors. Our working
experience relating recruitment therefore is quite comparable with the CAS.
Continuing this line of thoughts, I would like to admit Victoria’s highest
professionalism and outstanding personality. Vitoria has been always cooperative,
responsive, and sympathetic to all problems and nuances we were facing during this
process.
Thanks to the CAS in general and Victoria in particular, only in 2015 the Department
of Psychology hired 5 professors, and the Centre – 2 postdocs.
This allowed both the CDM and the Department to achieve a lot in the
internationalization of study curricular and advancing research: and English speaking
Master’s program ”Cognitive Sciences and Technologies: From Neuron to Cognition’
was launched, a series of studies in cognitive neuroscience has been started by the
CAS-hired research personnel and many more.
Up until now we stay in daily contact with Victoria and get valuable advises from her,
both for the CAS personal hired in 2014 and while working on the new round of
recruitment. I thank Victoria for our most enjoyable cooperation and hope to continue
working together in the future.
