Halogen Incandescent
Bulbs
Halogen bulbs are the closest you can
get to old-fashioned incandescent bulbs
in terms of lighting quality.
Incandescent VS LED
1.Halogen bulbs typically last 2,000 hours
and roughly 2 years
2.They come in a variety of colors and can
instantly emit light.
3.They are less energy-efficient and less
long-lasting than either LED or CFL

CFL Bulbs
CFL was the more commonly purchased
form of energy saving light until the
arrival of LED.
However, CFL bulbs will generally
generate more hear than LED bulbs and
take longer to warm up.
LEDs are now much cheaper than CFL
and other models of fluorescent bulbs.
CFL VS LED
1.CFL use up to 60-80% energy than
incandescent lamps Versus LED’s 90%
2.Lasts almost 10 times longer than
incandescent bulbs.
3.Produces less heat.
4.They have a lifespan of about 10,000
hours.

CFL VS LED
1.LED lights use less electricity and have a longer
lifespan and save your money in the long-term.
2.Led Lights can last up to 5 years. That’s a longer-
lifespan, once again saving you time and money.
3.Led Lights can produce bright, good quality light in
any color.
4.Led bulbs are easier to dispose of because they do
not contain any hazardous material.

LUMENS
1.Measures light’s actual brightness.
2.By contrast, wattage is a measurement
of how much electricity a bulb uses.
3.The effectiveness of an LEd bulb is
best expressed in its lumens-to-watt ratio
(the number of lumens produced for each
watt consumed).

COLOR TEMPERATURE
1.Living Room and Bedroom: Choose a
warm color temperature (2500K-3500K)
for these rooms.
2.Kitchens: For kitchen recess lighting,
we recommend a natural white light
(4000K).
3.Offices, Reading Rooms, and Other
Workspaces: For these rooms, we
recommend a cool white light (4100-
5000K).

IP RATE
1.For outdoor recessed lighting and shower
recessed lighting, you want to find light fixtures
and bulbs that can withstand dust and water
exposure, which is indicated by the Ingress
Protection (IP) rating.
2.The right IP rating will reduce hazards by
shielding your recessed lighting fixture from
the elements. For dust and water protection, a
rating of IP65 is recommended.
