1 Documentation Do we need to fill in all documents in digital format, including signature?
Lampiran 3 (Agreement/ Surat perjanjian) - All documents must be filled in digitally (electronic format) including
signature for students, guarantor, witness.
Lampiran 4 (Borang 1-7) - All documents (Borang 1-7) must be handwritten including signature.
2 Documentation I was offered a different program (course & university) from my initial application. Can I appeal to change the program? No. PETRONAS Offer is final.
3 Documentation Can we go to the nearby clinic for medical checkup?
Only panel clinics are allowed. If there is no panel clinic nearby, it is necessary to go to the nearest
government/private HOSPITAL. If there are no nearby hospitals, the medical checkup can be performed at the
nearest clinic, as long as the clinic has all of the necessary equipment.
4 Documentation Is parent can be second guarantor? Yes, subject meeting the PETRONAS requirement and criteria. Refer lampiran 2 (4.1, 4.2).
5 Documentation How do we ensure our documents fulfilled PETRONAS requirements?
Make sure the completed documents as per checklist. PETRONAS will require a scanned copy for each
documents for validation purposes . PETRONAS will notify the date of submission during the briefing.
6 Documentation How do we submit all the PESP completed documents?
Submit through softcopy first for validation/amendments. Then, submit the hardcopy via courier (poslaju) to
our office.
7 Documentation Is it ok if the bank account is a children account? Yes.
10 Documentation When will PETRONAS conduct the briefing for the documentation? We will do the briefing on the third week of August. We will notify students via email.
11 Documentation For the matter of 'matikan setem'/stamping, can't it be done at the LHDN counter? can only be done through the website?
Students to check LHDN requiremnets whether students require to apply through website or walk in.

Is there any guidelines for us to refer for CTC requirements?
17 Documentation Are we allowed to use the same witness to complete the PESP agreement? Yes, as long as the witness meeting the PETRONAS requirements. Refer lampiran 2 (6.2)
18 Sponsorship Is there a list of approved universities for scholars to apply? PETRONAS will share the list of approved universities once you've accepted into PESP.
19 Sponsorship Is it possible to change oversea programme to local programme? No. All decisions are final.
21 Sponsorship I have done medical checkup with YTP MARA, do I need to redo the checkup through PETRONAS panel? Yes. The requirement is different from YTP MARA and PETRONAS.

May I know the subjects that I would learn throughout the course, during both A-level and degree?
And can I add a few subjects during my studies or does it only restricted to subjects designated for my course?
Students may refer to IPTA/IPTS academic plan in order to learn more about the subjects offered.
23 Sponsorship If I have medical condition, am I still eligible to enroll into the program.
PETRONAS will do a medical evaluation for each PESP candidates and your eligibility is subject to PETRONAS'
doctor recommendation .
24 Sponsorship When will we receive official offer from IPTA/IPTS under PESP program? Official offer from IPTA/IPTS will be issued starting next week (22 August 2022).
25 Sponsorship Do I need to pay for medical checkup?
Yes, students to pay first. PETRONAS will cover the medical checkup fee with the maximum amount of RM500
only.
Any additional cost will be borne by you.
26 Sponsorship In the event students have already enrolled at the university & program similar to PESP offer, do we need to withdraw? No. Students to wait official letter/ application from IPTA/IPTS registra office.
27 Sponsorship Does PETRONAS accept non family members as guarantor? Yes, subject meeting the requirement and criteria (Refer Lampiran 4, 4.1.).
28 Sponsorship Is it okay to book the flight tickets together with my guardian
PETRONAS will only cover flight ticket from Sabah & Sarawak to semenanjung (vice versa) only for students at
economy rate. Students to purchase flight ticket first and student may submit claim to PETRONAS upon
completion of all PESP documents.
29 Sponsorship Do PETRONAS accept all types of health institutions for students to do medical checkup?
Prioritizing on lampiran 4, page 15-18, if not accessible and available, students may go to other private &
government HOSPITAL.
32 Sponsorship May I know the email for us to send the documents / e-validation process? We will share the email during the briefing session.
33 Sponsorship Is it compulsory for overseas scholar take MUET? No for PETRONAS PESP application. Refer your IPTA/IPTS requirements.
34 Documentation What is the alternative method if my guarantor do not have 'Borang B'
You need to declare your income through statutory form (self employed/ unemployed) with the listed
authorities allowed to CTC the statutory declaration form.
35 Sponsorship What is the enrollment procedure set by the IPTA/IPTS for the university offered by PETRONAS? University will contact students via email and provide the necessary information.
36 Documentation
Is someone who are 18 years old with no occupation (as he is currently a university student) eligible to be entitled as the
witness?
No. Please refer to the witness criteria from Lampiran 2 (6.2).
