Historical and information summary
about production activities of “FIRM “NAFTOGASBUD” PJSC
“FIRM “NAFTOGASBUD” PJSC was established on February 12, 1957 on basis of
Ukzakhidnaftogazbud trust which took part in the construction of all important oil and gas objects on
the territory of former Soviet Union (gas pipelines: “Bratstvo”, “Soyuz”, “Torzhok-Dolyna”,
“Urengoi-Pomary-Uzhgorod”, “Ivantsevichi-Dolyna”, “Kremenchug-Ananiev-Tchernivtsi-
Bogorodchany”; oil pipelines: “Druzhba”, “Kremenchug-Snigurivka-Odessa”.
PJSC “Firm “Naftogasbud” used its production capacities in construction of all main pipelines
which supply gas and oil from Siberia to Western Ukraine; of main gas and oil pipeline networks on
territory of Ukraine and different objects of oil and gas complex abroad. The specialists of the firm
were participants in construction of first native commodity base for ethylene-propylene production,
of equipment for anticorrosion inhibitor production, of USSR-Turkey transit gas pipeline, at
liquidation of earthquake consequences in Armenia, in execution of gas pipeline construction
program in Chernobyl, in construction of housing and public objects.

4. PRODUCTION CAPACITY OF THE COMPANY
Production activities of “FIRM “NAFTOGASBUD” PJSC are ensured by highly qualified
specialists and aimed to meet the requirements and expectations of the Customers by analysing

are provided with full complex of equipment for carrying out quality control of civil and
special construction works, quality control of anti-corrosive insulation coating and

Besides, the main advantage of the Company is the provision of the construction with

Welder Performance Qualification Centre
and certified work quality control laboratories

“FIRM “NAFTOGASBUD” PJSC includes welder performance qualification centre
certified and registered in appropriate authorities.
Performance qualification centre conducts training and certification of welders of the
Company. Furthermore, the centre conducts works related with development and
introduction of new welding equipment and technologies into production.
“FIRM “NAFTOGASBUD” PJSC is complete with highly qualified and certified
specialists, as well as adequate certified quality control laboratories equipped with full set

Civil works:
More than 50 years long work experience of our company in construction of pipelines
accompanied also with erection of industry and housing buildings of various complicity. High –
skilled specialists are executing presently all “turn-key” construction complex both industry and
housing buildings.
Earth works: allotting and planning of territories, water removal, marking out the
foundations for buildings
Foundation structures: monolithic, pre-cast concrete, pile, quarry-stone concrete
Monolithic construction: of frameworks for housing and industry buildings, monolithic
floor in buildings without frameworks
Filling of frameworks in monolithic buildings with sandwich panels.
Different complicity masonries: brickwork and block, quarry-stone concrete structures
Complicated roofing: roll roofing structures, structural elements of wooden roofs, roofing
from metal profiles, from tile and other modern roofing materials.
Site improvements: planting trees and shrubs, covering of yard and pedestrian ways with
stone, covering of inner ways.
And certainly all buildings are provided with whole range of facilities: sewer, water supply,

The Company has a large park of mobile welding installation equipment with modern welding
current sources having remote control:
WTU-307 - manufactured by firm Fronius (Austria)
ВДУЧ-315Т and ВДУЧ-350 - manufactured by firm Коmunar (Ukraine)
DC-400 and Invertec STT-II - manufactured by Lincoln Electric (USA).
The personnel and equipment of the company helps to execute welding works depending on
economic and technical task with various methods:
• Manual arc-welding of all weld layers by electrodes with main or gas-shield coating
(are used electrodes and wires made by world-known welding materials leaders such as
Thyssen(Germany), Bohler (Austria), ESAB (Sweden))

17. • Manual inert gas arc-welding of root with non-consumable electrode
• Semi-automatic inert gas mixture welding of all weld layers with continuous - gauge
wire
• Semi-automatic inert gas mixture welding of root with non-consumable gauge wire by
STT method (this technology on territory of Ukraine at pipeline construction is introduced
for the first time)
• Semi-automatic welding of filling and outside weld layers with “Inershield” self-
protected powder wire (Lincoln Electric, USA) (this technology on territory of Ukraine at
pipeline construction is introduced for the first time)
• Automatic submerged welding of filling and outside welds of rotated pipe joints
• Welding of polymeric pipelines by all known methods: joint, socket, electro fusion.
Such wide range of welding technologies together with high qualification of personnel ensures
high quality and productivity of welding and installation works.
Isolation works
For protection of pipelines the Company has developed deposition of different types and
structures of anti-corrosion coatings:
• On base of thermosetting materials manufactured by Rayhem (Belgium), Canusi (Canada),
Теmp-SKV (Ukraine)
• On the base of epoxy resins
• On the base of polyurethane resins
• Alkyd – urethane varnish painting
• Combined on the base of gum and polymeric strip
• Stripped with a layer of bitumen-butylrubber adhesive of Altene monotape (Italy) and
Budizol (Ukraine) type.
The company had developed new isolation - Polyizol NGB coating for large diameter
pipelines. The company is equipped with machines and combines with sectional rotors for
cleaning of pipeline surface and deposition of isolation coating at field conditions.
The possession of above-mentioned technologies enables to execute works at any conditions
taking into consideration a practicability of this method or the other one.

limited environment using different kind of removable attached equipment, excavators. Heavy
hydraulic hammers for a weight of 2.1 t have been used for the first time.
Excavators for full range of works for forest roads construction in mountain conditions have
been used for the first time.
FIRM “NAFTOGASBUD” PJSC performs full range of drilling works, bore and reinforced
concrete pile driving works.
There is a full set of equipment for concrete work.
During entire construction works period, the Company has accumulated broad experience in
vertical planning for construction of tank farms, shops, compressor and pumping stations, etc.
The full range of works regarding construction on “turn-key” basis of tank farms, compressor
stations, arrangement of gas and oil fields using new state-of-the-art technologies and imported
equipment is carried out.
• Welding works
The Company has a large park of mobile welding installation equipment with modern welding
current sources having remote control:
WTU-307 - manufactured by firm Fronius (Austria)
ВДУЧ-315Т and ВДУЧ-350 - manufactured by firm Коmunar (Ukraine)
DC-400 and Invertec STT-II - manufactured by Lincoln Electric (USA).
The personnel and equipment of the company help to execute welding works depending on
economic and technical task with various methods:
• Manual arc-welding of all weld layers by electrodes with main or gas-shield coating (are
used electrodes and wires made by world-known welding materials leaders such as
Thyssen(Germany), Bohler (Austria), ESAB (Sweden))
• Manual inert gas arc-welding of root with non-consumable electrode
• Semi-automatic inert gas mixture welding of all weld layers with continuous - gauge wire

19. • Semi-automatic inert gas mixture welding of root with non-consumable gauge wire by
STT method (this technology on territory of Ukraine at pipeline construction is introduced for the
first time)
• Semi-automatic welding of filling and outside weld layers with “Inershield” self-protected
powder wire (Lincoln Electric, USA) (this technology on territory of Ukraine at pipeline
construction is introduced for the first time)
• Automatic submerged welding of filling and outside welds of rotated pipe joints.
Such wide range of welding technologies together with high qualification of personnel ensures
high quality and productivity of welding and installation works
For pipe welding in section (rotary automatic submerged arc welding) of “FIRM
“NAFTOGASBUD” PJSC field welding units of APH type are used.
Trained and certified staff uses electrodes of protective type (with cellulose coating),
especially for welding of root layers of weld.
During welding electrodes and wire produced by world leaders in welding materials such as
Thyssen (Germany), Bohler (Austria), ESAB (Sweden) are used.
• Isolation works
The Company has developed application type and method of new isolation coating “Poliizol
NGB”, application of isolation coating types (bitumen-rubber, thermal glands “Raycem”
(Belgium), "Canusi” (Canada), Temp-SLE (Ukraine), cold application film coating “Altene
monotape” (Italy)), application of alkyd-urethane paint coating has been developed. Owning
specified technologies allows performing isolation works under any conditions considering usage
appropriateness of method selected.
• Technical and technological capabilities for quality control of work performed
Quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001-2009 requirements is applied in the
Company. The system developed, certified and implemented in 2004 ensures process performance
monitoring at all stages of technologic process starting from incoming material inspection up to
determination of finished facility indexes. For these purposes in each division of the Company
organizational units – quality control sections which include specialized laboratories and equipped
with relevant equipment, certified according to established order have been created. The most
widely used techniques: gamma-ray flaw detection (9 flaw detectors GAMARID 120/90), X-ray
examination (12 units of “Arina” types), ultrasonic inspection (6 units of different types), as well
as full range of methods and relevant equipment for control of material mechanical properties,
physical isolation properties, etc.
• Pipeline resistance and impermeability testing
The Company performs pipeline body cleaning and pressure testing using both hydraulic and
pneumatic methods, and has experience in in-line inspection.
